Southlake Envision Imaging clinic has been MOST accommodating, professional and time efficient every single time! I had at least 15 or more visits to help diagnose my serious conditions. Every time I have entered this location using my walker, I was & am still suffering from EXCRUCIATING pain & discomfort. My combined medical issues create this pain for at least 22 hrs of each and every of my days. Waiting, sitting, walking is extremely difficult for me, constantly. Southlake Envisions proficiency makes my visits much easier each and every time. The staff is attentive to helping me with the door when exiting and even assisting me to the back for each procedure every time. The simple & easy task of making my appointment, to the time waiting from check-in, to taking me back for each procedure, was ALWAYS made easy. They were not making special provisions for me alone, I noticed every patient from check in, to taking us back for the actual procedure, was little time. There were hardly any people waiting in the waiting room which makes me feel their scheduling system is on point. All the staff, from the office workers to the techs are kind, professional and so helpful when I needed assistance. Again not just for me, I noticed this overall for each patient! I came in recently for x-rays as a walk-in first thing in the morning. The front desk receptionist…read morewas friendly. I handed over my documents (imaging order, pic ID, medical insurance card). When asked about cost, she told me she would let me know. I was then called back shortly which at the time I was grateful since I was trying to get to work asap. The x-ray tech that brought me back was also friendly and professional. She was easy to talk to and guided me through the exam in a way that was comfortable with my current condition. The whole process was seamless and quick. Maybe a little too quick. I checked out and asked the same receptionist what I owed thinking she verified my benefits by then. She said she didn't see that I owed anything. That's never the case, but I went on my way to get to work. I get a text a little over a week later stating my statement was ready. I just wished they were more efficient with checking benefits before performing procedures. I knew I was likely to pay, but others may feel blindsided if they weren't familiar with their insurance coverage. Despite that, the fees were standard and the whole experience was satisfactory.

I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience during my mammogram appointment…read more When I scheduled the appointment, I was told that they would need my previous mammogram images. At the same time, I was also told that if I brought my previous mammogram reports instead of the images, that should be enough for the appointment. Based on that information, I brought all of my reports with me. Unfortunately, no one asked for my previous reports or images during check-in. Only after I was already in the imaging room, just before the exam, Dr. Sarah Khan came in and asked if this was my first mammogram, even though I had clearly scheduled a diagnostic mammogram and had provided all the relevant details in the check-in forms. She seemed frustrated that my previous images were not available, and instead of addressing the communication issue with the front office, that frustration was directed toward me. She then asked why I had changed radiologists. I explained that I had previously gone to another imaging center, but traveling there had become difficult and this facility was much closer to my workplace. Even after I explained that, she again asked whether I had chosen this facility because it was cheaper in rude way. She then told me that seeing me was "a waste of her time." Hearing that from a physician while I was already anxious about a diagnostic mammogram was extremely hurtful and unprofessional. She also asked me questions about my previous mammogram report. Every time I tried to explain my medical history or answer her questions, she interrupted me before I could finish. She then said that my "story" did not match the report. I honestly didn't understand why my own medical history was being questioned, and I was made to feel as if I was lying. Dr. Khan then said I would need both a screening mammogram followed by a diagnostic mammogram (after few days). This was never explained clearly to me, and I was taken back into the imaging room before I fully understood why two mammograms were being recommended. When I expressed that I was uncomfortable having two mammograms without a clear explanation, she told me that she could not continue with the imaging. As a result, I left the appointment without getting the mammogram. To make matters worse, the front desk staff also implied that the situation was somehow my fault, even though no one had verified my previous reports or informed me of any issue during check-in. If previous images are required before a diagnostic mammogram can be performed, that should be confirmed before the patient is taken into the imaging room. Patients should not be made to feel blamed, dismissed, or disrespected because of internal communication issues.

Just like the other reviews I had to wait over an hour to be seen. Side note three other patients arrived after me and all got seen. I sought to understand by asking the front desk what's going on in a very polite way saying "hi do we have an estimate on my turn I've seen other people get helped before me and wanted to get an estimate" the front lady with colored eyes responded passive aggressively " well we do more than ultrasounds" I then proceeded to be more direct and ask" why have others been helped before me even although I arrive before them. I wanna make sure I wasn't missed " she responded " it's fine take a seat". She could improve on her responses, specially I came from a positive and polite way. India was the best part of the experience she was my technician that preformed the ultra sound. I can only give this place 3 stars due to her. She saved this place from getting 1. The actual visit and test was fine, it's getting the results that's difficult. It took calls from…read moremy doctor's office and from me to get the results to the doctor. Solis failed to send the results to me. I called and requested the results, and was told they would send them that day. Three-plus weeks later, I had not received the results. I called again. Had to go through Solis' call center. Takes at least 20 minutes for them to connect me to Denton. Another 15 minutes for Denton to answer. Denton now claims I have to come in to sign paperwork (again) or print out a form from the Solis' website and send it to Solis before Solis will release my results to me. (Other labs have always sent me a copy via mail or email of my test results.) And the staff member I talked with thought it was humorous--actually laughed--that I was annoyed Solis had not sent my results. I won't use Solis again.

Everyone I dealt with was very kind, helpful and respectful. I couldn't have asked for a better staff to put my concerns at ease, especially Rebecca! The initial appointment process is not with the people in the office. I received an automated call and text a few days after the referral. The message directed for a call back or to schedule an appointment online. When going to the website, you have to choose your location and choose from 15 min increments for appointments.  I opted to call back, but it does route you to someone who makes appointments for all the locations. I do want to say the woman who scheduled me was very polite and patient, answered all my questions and made sure to tell me things I wouldn't know since it was my first time, such as not wearing any deodorant, perfume or lotion to the appointment.  The Rayzor Ranch location was booked until after the New Year, but she suggested this location because they had openings, including Saturdays! That was so convenient with my work schedule, but I think some of her info was outdated as she referred to this location as Denton Regional (correct address, but it's the Professional Building next to Medical City, Suite 211) and told me to be at least 15 minutes early to my 7:45am appointment. While they are open 7am-4:30pm on weekdays, they didn't even open until a few minutes before 7:45am on Saturday. These discrepancies didn't bother me, but I could see someone being upset/anxious because of it. The website doesn't have these discrepancies.  What I absolutely love is their system automatically reminds you of the appointment via text and email multiple times. My appointment was on a Saturday and I received those reminders the Monday and Friday of both that week and the week before. The reminders also give you the option to reschedule, so I was actually very comfortable making the next appointment during registration, because I knew I wouldn't have to keep track of the dates insurance would cover and rescheduling is so easy. While in the registration process, I heard several interesting things. One was they had some sort of translator that they were using on a phone call- fancy technology. Another, is that someone was paying out of pocket without insurance and it was $72, not bad compared to other medical procedures. Lyssa helped me with the fairly short registration process. There were only 2 slight delays and both had to do with my PCP not forwarding all my information with the referral. They need to scan a physical insurance card and if you are like me, with only a digital one, they will need to text you a link to upload it. The text didn't work after 3 times, but an email with the link worked just fine. The other part was the family medical history, I have a detailed sheet of my family medical history, but I didn't bring it with me because I thought it was sent from my PCP and this made me anxious that I wasn't prepared to go off my memory with only 1 cup of coffee as support. However, she assured me it was ok if I was unsure of ages etc and to just fill out what I could for breast and ovarian cancer. After I entered the 5th family member, she empathetically told me it was enough and that I clearly had a strong family history and should definitely keep up with the annual appointments. This was the opposite of any medical experience I've had in the last 2 years as I have been blown off by PCP's and insurance companies in an attempt to get testing suggested by my father's oncologist. Rebecca was also emphatic about me keeping up with my appointments because I have such a strong family history. I swear, these women made me feel so validated on this topic without any prompting- what a breath of fresh air! They walked me back to a very clean waiting room with multiple changing rooms and lockers to undress from the waist up and put on what is essentially a pancho in scrub form. You put your items in lockers with keys that have celebrity names (I got Lucille Ball) and take the key on a bracelet and wait in a chair. This process was impressively efficient and fast, I sat less than 90 seconds before Rebecca called me and walked me down the hallway to where the scans are done. She had a great beside manner and did a great job of explaining the entire process to me and putting me at ease. She was thorough and did one of the 4 scans again to ensure it was clear, asking me if I was okay and encouraging me throughout. The entire process was less than 10 minutes and completely painless and I felt comfortable and respected the entire time. She was a complete blessing.  After that, I was done and out as the registration process takes care of all scheduling/payment in advance. I received the results via email early Tuesday. I'm an old ER RN so I knew the ER would be crazy, but I know a puncture can get really bad quickly, I received excellent care from an extremely experienced Doctor and great staff without the craziness and all day wait time of the ER at the hospital, I even received follow up care! I've used complete care for fractures, asthma etc for family and myself. The care was impeccable as always thanks you! Dr Lepak is amazing !

1 Star -- Completely Failed by the Level of Care…read more I genuinely do not understand where the numerous five-star reviews for this facility are coming from, because my experience was nowhere close to five-star care. I specifically chose this facility in part because their website advertises ultrasound availability. After arriving, however, I learned that an ultrasound technician was not actually there and had to be called in. When someone is choosing where to seek urgent medical care, advertised diagnostic capabilities matter. I came in with significant left-sided pelvic/ovarian pain and a complicated medical history. I was completely honest with the physician about the pain medications I am already prescribed and why I take them. Instead of feeling like that honesty helped my care, I immediately felt judged. His demeanor and facial expression noticeably changed, the examination felt rushed, and he seemed eager to leave the room. The nursing care was equally concerning. They attempted to establish an IV seven times without success. I was stuck seven separate times, and I did not receive so much as an apology. Based on my experience, I had serious concerns about the level of competency and training demonstrated during my care. I was eventually given one Toradol injection. The physician had told me he would address my pain, yet I still had to specifically ask for pain relief. The transvaginal ultrasound was excruciatingly painful. Ironically, the ultrasound technician who had to be called in was one of the only people who actually advocated for me. She could clearly see the amount of pain I was experiencing and advocated for something stronger to help control it. More than 30 minutes later, I still had not heard a word from anyone regarding that request. I wasn't given a call light. I wasn't connected to continuous vital-sign monitoring. I was left alone in a room in significant pain without meaningful communication about what was happening or what the plan for my care was. I was also extremely disturbed by what I witnessed regarding patient privacy. Nursing staff discussed another patient's medical information inside my room and used that patient's first and last name. Regardless of the technical circumstances, patients should not have to hear identifiable information about another patient's care, and it made me seriously question how my own private medical information was being handled. Most frustrating of all, the ultrasound confirmed multiple cysts on my left ovary, exactly where I was experiencing significant pain. I did not come here without a legitimate medical concern. The only two employees I can genuinely compliment are the receptionist and the ultrasound technician. Both were compassionate and professional. The ultrasound technician, in particular, recognized that I was hurting and actually advocated for me. I chose this facility because of its extremely high reviews and because it appeared to offer the diagnostic services I needed. I expected compassionate, competent urgent medical care. Instead, I experienced seven unsuccessful IV attempts, inadequate communication, serious concerns about patient privacy, inadequate pain management, and a diagnostic service advertised as available that required someone to be called in. I came here looking for help. Instead, I am leaving feeling judged, ignored, and defeated. I have absolutely no idea where all of these five-star reviews are coming from, but mine certainly will not be one of them.
