I paid for a phone consultation, and I haven't hired them yet, but the quality of the phone consultation was much better than free consultations. I did lots of research before paying the fee because I was hesitant, but I was able to learn a lot from the call in addition to learning about the law firm. I was seeking legal representation for an incarcerated friend. I called the first time and found out that I have to pay for the consultation fee. After calling a couple other lawyers for free consultations and understanding the situation better I felt comfortable paying the fee. I called back a week later and gave the receptionist my info. I have nothing but positive things to say about Lamano Law Office. Recently sought legal advice from this boutique firm and I can totally see why they have so many stellar reviews on Yelp. As a legal professional myself, I immediately knew I had to talk to an attorney when I had some traffic related legal matters to deal with even after doing my own research on the California Transportation code. I did look at FindLaw and other attorney listings. But as an avid Yelper, I knew I could count on Yelp for finding reputable legal services as well. After requesting a quote on Yelp, the paralegal lady at Lamano Law Office called me right away. She took notes of the matter and arranged a free consultation for me immediately. A couple of hours later, I received a phone call from attorney Givelle. She first spent time carefully listening to me describing my legal matter and expressing my concerns. She then basically gave me a crash course on California criminal procedures and provided very insightful legal advice. When I looked at the clock, I was so surprised that she spent almost 45 mins on the phone providing service free of charge. AND her conclusion was that it was unnecessary to hire an attorney at the moment for the minor traffic matter I was involved in. Yet it's followed me for years!
