About halfway to my court date, Thomas argued my case to the DMV and won my case with DMV, and Thomas was able to secure my license back. Fast forward to today, my final verdict with the court was that both my DUI charges were dismissed and I only received a wet reckless with only a 12 hour class and paying a $300 fine. No Jail time, no license suspension, and no other penalties. The work I had put in during those months of waiting for my trial had paid off and I cannot express how glad I am Thomas had me start those meetings early on. I truly feel Thomas had prepared me for everything I was going to face in this trial and was by my side every step of the way making sure that I was on the right trajectory to get my second chance. Hiring Givelle Lamano to handle my case was the best decision I could have possiably made. After I made bail I had no idea what to do next and so I started asking my friends what I should do. I received quite a few recommendations but I noticed the name that kept comming up was Lamano. I had no idea about the whole process of court procedures and what my rights were and when I called Ebony she made sure that I was able to get the information that I needed and scheduled a meeting for the next day. After 5 minutes of speaking with Givelle I knew that she was as good if not better than everyone had told me. Our meeting covered the charges I was facing and the possiable outcomes. Givelle took the time to make sure that I understood everything walked me through the whole process. By the time I left her office I went from feeling like the next 2 years of my life were over to feeling like I had someone on my side who was going to make sure that I was going to get the best defense possiable and that everything was going to be fine. Someone important to me was looking at very significant charges. Givelle worked hard to significantly reduce those charges and our final outcome was better than we expected. The law is complicated. Givelle will work with you to make sure you understand what is going on with your defense every step of the way. However, because things are so complicated, expect delays and setbacks. Also, be aware that even though you have hired an attorney you are still an active part of your defense. You will be required to do many things to assist yourself. Givelle will ask you to create lists, write statements, etc. These tasks are not menial tasks being delegated to you, they are integral pieces of your defense. This lawyer is serious about your defense and she will expect the same dedication from you. Finally, if I or anyone in my family needed a defense attorney I would call Givelle first. Givelle and Manjula are the best! I was applying for a job and had my background check done and found out I had a felony and warrants from 2yrs ago that I knew nothing about. After doing some research I decided to call the Lamano Law firm.
