She never went to see my husband and only spoke to him once. I want my money back because she did not work on the case and she tried to go between me and my husband and get him to agree for her to continue working on his case, even though she never did anything. I later had to go through arbitration, where I was awarded my money back. She has since agreed to disbarment and avoided trial because numerous former clients have filed complaints for similar misconduct. This was one of the most unprofessional and unethical experiences I've ever had. She is NOT For The People and to think she has black sons. Mmm karma... She will exploit you and take all of your money and you'll never hear from her again. Thank God, she can no longer practice law anymore.

I NEVER got a response. LET alone I never got a call back or communication at ALLL during the whole process. They robbed me for my money and took advantage of me being a woman in need of help. I WOULD 10/10 never recommend this place run the other way. I would give negative star . 5k may not be nothing to them but it's a lot for a working class single mother of 3 and one of on the way. 5k could have went towards a lawyer that was actually going to help me and my future . Hiring Givelle Lamano to handle my case was the best decision I could have possiably made. After I made bail I had no idea what to do next and so I started asking my friends what I should do. I received quite a few recommendations but I noticed the name that kept comming up was Lamano. I had no idea about the whole process of court procedures and what my rights were and when I called Ebony she made sure that I was able to get the information that I needed and scheduled a meeting for the next day. After 5 minutes of speaking with Givelle I knew that she was as good if not better than everyone had told me. Our meeting covered the charges I was facing and the possiable outcomes. Givelle took the time to make sure that I understood everything walked me through the whole process. By the time I left her office I went from feeling like the next 2 years of my life were over to feeling like I had someone on my side who was going to make sure that I was going to get the best defense possiable and that everything was going to be fine. That's all I can say really. As everyone said in their reviews, she is extremely compassionate and will go as far as it can take to help you with your case. She was extremely helpful and easy going through out the whole process and will tell you everything straight up. Givelle will update you constantly throughout your case and will reply to emails about your case within a very fast time frame. Givelle is a childhood friend whom I have not spoken to in nearly 30 years. I found out she became a criminal lawyer and could not have been more proud of her. However, I never thought in my wildest dreams that it would take a serious matter to finally reunite. All I can say was she never made me feel like time had passed. Right away, she put me at ease, explained what could potentially happen (good and bad), educated me on the process and even followed up a few days later. Someone important to me was looking at very significant charges. Givelle worked hard to significantly reduce those charges and our final outcome was better than we expected. The law is complicated. Givelle will work with you to make sure you understand what is going on with your defense every step of the way. However, because things are so complicated, expect delays and setbacks. Also, be aware that even though you have hired an attorney you are still an active part of your defense. You will be required to do many things to assist yourself. Givelle will ask you to create lists, write statements, etc. These tasks are not menial tasks being delegated to you, they are integral pieces of your defense. This lawyer is serious about your defense and she will expect the same dedication from you. Finally, if I or anyone in my family needed a defense attorney I would call Givelle first. Working with Givelle Lamano of the Lamano Law Office was something to enjoy and endure. In the beginning she was on me about getting things straightened out so I would be the best representation of myself as I could be. She pushed for things others would not have getting me into programs that were not court ordered in order for me to be better and do better. My case was long and took a lot out of me and my family for almost 3 years, yet she was always there to take questions and Anwser through text, email, phone and in personal meetings.
