Several of our parents & relatives are interred at Sunset Memorial...my mother & father, my uncle,…read more2 of my aunts, my cousin as well as my wife's mother & father. Every year as the Christmas holidays approach, we traditionally put decorated artificial wreaths on all of the grave markers...my wife spends a significant amount of time decorating the wreaths to make a nice dignified presentation. You would think, with no winter lawn/property maintenance required, that the grave holiday decorations could remain on the graves for longer than a 2-3 week period before they are removed and discarded! People spend a significant amount of money for the many holiday commemorative markers just to have them automatically removed & discarded after a relatively short period of time! I can understand this for fresh wreaths & greenery which will eventually die and deteriorate anyway but artificial markers will be revitalized and re-used every year. It wouldn't be so bad if the cemetery would post the "cleanup dates" on their website but the only notification given is a sign near the cemetery entrance showing the date the cleanup will begin...for those not living near the cemetery or not visiting very often, they never become aware of the date and, if they arrive too late, arrive to find all of the decorations no longer on the graves but in piles to eventually be discarded. Would it be THAT much of an issue to post the cleanup date on the website for improved awareness or, for that matter, to extend the cleanup date until the end of January to provide a more significant time period to have the graves decorated for the holidays?

I don't know if it is laziness, lack of care or disorganization, but I know if a client pays me $6000 and I then order a product with that money, I do everything in my power to ensure the order is received, has an expected date of delivery, and I follow up if things don't happen when they are supposed to. It's not rocket scientist if you know how to look at a calendar.... I am in awe by the lack of concern, and I do not recommend anyone bury someone at Sunset Memorial Park or any other facility owned and operated by Everstory. I'm only sad my father's butial here is prepaid. I read complaints about this place -- that some people have waited for decades for their gravemarkers -- Absolutely unbelievable, criminal if you ask me. when I die, I think I'll just be cremated-- then my loved ones can keep me in a vase on a shelf if they want to ...and not have to deal with this crap!

we have been having issues since purchasing my mother's gravemarker almost a year ago…read more the /memorial park does no proactive follow up to ensure when we pay money for our gravestone that it is actually delivered. Then when they get a promised delivery date there is no proactive follow up to ensure the delivery takes place. I was promised my mother's headstone would finally be installed on August 1, 2025. We purchased it in October 2024 yet as of August 17, 2025 there is no grave marker. There has never once been proactive communication or follow up from the this company. Basically my mother has been in an unmarked grave. I insisted months ago that they at least put a temporary grave marker on the stone took forever to get that also. Burying my mother was so absolutely expensive from this funeral home and this cemetery. They say one is separate from the other but clearly they work together since the funeral home took my check payable to them for my my mother's grave marker. I do not recommend this place at all for anyone and I am so disappointed my parents chose this place to be buried. I am now convinced they do not care about the dead. They do not care about our loved ones. If they did care, I would not be waiting 10 months for a headstone that I paid $6000 for and not once received proactive communication no nor have I seen any demonstrated effort to ensure that my mother is not in an unmarked grave! Don't go here for your loved one
