You go beyond the highland bowl then BOOM. If you can find a quiet time to drop by, it is amazingly peaceful and serene. You can take a walk through the entire highland park neighborhood after, or enjoy a picnic on the grass near highland bowl. Overall, a great ROC institution that's great for photos but also maybe just put your phone away and enjoy the view!

These events can take place all across the city of Rochester, as there are many different experiences over the course of the festival. I've seen impressive large scale performances at the fringe festival such as a performance by Bandaloop on the side of five star city bank. I've also seen modernized Shakespeare as well as Drunk Shakespeare (Shotspeare). All of these experiences were top notch. I'd highly recommend attending at least one event each year! It's not a garden *store*, so they don't have tools, pots, fertilizer, or things of that nature. But if you need a plant, this is the place. This spring I bought chives, basil, marigolds, and petunias here, and the prices I paid were about half of what some local garden stores charge. At the checkout, you can buy locally grown fruits and veggies. During my last stop, they had onions, potatoes, radishes, tomatoes, and several kinds of apples. Maple syrup too. Service is friendly, they take credit/debit, and the prices are reasonable. Support a local business and check them out if you're in Greece.

The park was designed by premier landscape architect Fredric Law Olmsted back in the early part of the last century. For myself, I have enjoyed the early morning walks, being in nature and enjoying in the wonderful flora of the park.
