It is sad that this management company promise you all these amenities and things and then treat their tenants the way they do. These town houses are not worthy or in condition for anyone to stay in. I have offered to mow their grass or at least my daughters section due to the grass not being cut and getting as high as to your knees. The trash can is always over flowing with garbage all around and just blowing in the wind. This happened to me and I spoke directly to the home owner who told me they were never even informed of a needed repair. Then, they attempt to withhold security deposits for repairs that haven't even been completed. I asked for the repair invoices and receipts and it's going on two weeks and I haven't received a response. Seems like the receipts should be easily assessable given that they have them listed in detail in the letter they sent me. They accuse all renters of smoking in the property in an attempt to charge $500 plus smoke remediation fees. They told me they found cigarette butts in the home and are trying to charge me for it when no one ever smoked in the home while I was a tenant. When I vacated the property, I videoed every inch of the property and as my video will prove, there were no cigarette butts anywhere in the home. They even said they have pictures of cigarette butts inside the home, yet haven't sent a time stamped copy to me. In addition, their claims of numerous repairs would certainly have resulted in many individuals being in the home since I left. How do know that one of them didn't smoke while there. I spoke with a gentleman 2 weeks ago who was there replacing windows and the front door was wide open and he was the only person there, hence no supervision when repair people are in the home. They currently have numerous lawsuits pending against them now and are about to have another one as I'm filing my complaint for unjust enrichment and breach of contract this week. Beware.

They let us sit for days without telling us about this problem. But we gave them another shot since they let us apply to a different home without paying any additional fees. What a mistake. We have lived in the home barely TWO MONTHS and have had non stop issues. The fridge broke the first night and all our food went bad, they came out 4 days after we told them about it, 'fixed' it and left. It broke again maybe 2 days later and they tried to blame the issue on us. They had to replace the fridge. THEN we find out all of the window locks were broken- not one of them locked and my toddlers could just lift the windows up. They had to come out again to fix it. They were admittedly quicker with that fix thankfully- but now, a pipe has broken in our upstairs bathroom and is leaking down into a light fixture below onto my dinner table and floor. I have been on the phone for almost half an hour with no real solution. They even attempted to have me just 'not use the upstairs bathroom' as a solution. I just recommend not using this company. It's not worth it.

Granted, I've only rented two apts prior to this, but my current unit is easily better. Firstly, the building/unit is very well kept. It's spacious enough for 1-2 people but still cozy, the amenities (dishwasher, washer/dryer, parking) are great to have, maintenance is rarely needed but very quick, & the rent is very reasonable for what you get. There is a reason the building I'm in has been full for several years now. Additionally, the entire TEJ staff have been nothing but great. There is always a quick response to any inquiries, and everyone I've interacted with has been very kind. Unlike the big rental companies in the area I've actually met the landlord and owner, and it's nice to put a face to a name. I recently was up to renew my lease (with a small but realistically fair rent increase) and there was zero doubt in my mind about staying in my unit. I've been very happy with my experience over the last five years and highly recommend renting through them.
