Like others, I try to support local businesses, but after two terrible recent experiences I vow to never entrust my vehicles to Lambs again. Here's why, and I will stick to facts and keep it short. Ish. First incident: I have a 2007 Land Rover that was misfiring. I took it to them after trying a number of things myself. They told me they have a certified Land Rover technician so I asked them to diagnose the problem and give me a repair quote. Long story short, they told me there was an internal engine failure and there was no compression on cylinder one, which they had verified with a compression test. This would require an engine replacement for at least $7-10,000 which is clearly not worth it for a 145k mile car. I didn't buy the story 100% as there were some previous events that made this explanation illogical. So I took it to Terry Sayther automotive. They quickly diagnosed the problem as a faulty fuel injector. I agreed it made sense to replace all four, and so for $1,500 my engine was running like new again. So, I was given an inaccurate diagnosis, lied to, and almost defrauded out of the best part of $10,000. Yes, that's fraud. Next, thinking, "oh there's not really anything that can go wrong with a state inspection, is there?" Is there? Well yes, as it turns out, a $7 safety inspection indeed can go wrong, as Lambs proved. They badly scuffed the (Tesla) steering wheel, which I noticed within 30 seconds of getting back in the car after collecting it. I went straight back and asked what happened, and not only did they immediately deny all responsibility, but Nathan, the "manager", was extremely rude, made sarcastic remarks about another tiny damage I really admitted I was the cause of, and did absolutely nothing to even hint that, wait, maybe something could have happened while the car was in our care. This sounds minor but the damage is significant enough that at a minimum the wheel will have to be re-wrapped but that's not the worst part. The worst part is the utterly abhorrent display of poor customer care, accusations of me lying, and total denial that this might just indeed have been caused by one of their workers. By his behaviour he was implying I was trying to hold them accountable for something they didn't do. With respect I have a busy life and much better things to worry about than trying to pin a damaged steering wheel on a shop if they didn't do it. That's what you, as a business, have to allow for. That occasionally, you or your employees screw up. I get it. It happens, but DO NOT go on the defensive immediately without so much as an apology or an attempt to figure out what really might have happened. You have insurance, you have a piggy bank. Get out of the way of your own arrogance and treat your customer with a modicum of respect. And yes, I have the audio recording of the conversation with the manager and I'll be happy to share it. I was forced to go here because I got a flat tire from the carwash across the street. The carwash aired my tire up enough to get over there. Lamb's got me right in, showed me where the tire was torn up by the carwash, and pointed out another tire that had a gash in it. They put my spare on for me, didn't charge me a penny, and I was out within 15 min. They were upfront and honest. Told me they have had MANY cars come to them after being at that carwash. Just another dishonest shop. Took my boss's Mercedes AMG C class to have its brakes changed. Was told the brakes were worn down to the rotors, everything needed to be replaced, and the car was unsafe to drive. We were quoted over $6k. The man flat out lied to me and tried to say that it's impossible to change just the pads as they're "drilled into the rotors", that the brakes for the Mercedes C63 are rare and only made for that specific car, and everything has to be replaced at once. It's obvious that he tried to lie to me because I'm a woman. We took it to a dealership instead. The dealership concluded that the rotors were fine, only the brake pads needed to be replaced. Had the oil changed, brake pads replaced, and an alignment for 1/3 of what Lambs quoted. Don't give these guys your business, save yourself thousands and go to another shop. It's incredibly disgusting to try to take advantage of someone, especially if you think you can do so because they're a woman. read more

My sister has had her Lexus serviced by this Lamb's since 2016. They have "fixed" the same issue with brakes/rotors more than once and the problem persists or returns, even just a few weeks after servicing. Many thousands of dollars have been spent. My husband finally looked at all of my sister's service records from Lamb's and is disgusted at how she was taken advantage of. When he got an estimate to replace the breaks (again) Lamb's quoted over $500 for the exact same work two other places offered to complete for $150-$175. Do not trust this Lamb's to service your vehicle, at least not if you're a single woman. Shame on you! read more

Our experience has never been good, They always upsale by telling you you'll need something you don't, At Least twice we've been told we would have to have a new tire because ours was not fixable. When we insisted they put the tire back on and took it somewhere else, the tire was completely fixable and the fix lasted until new tires were need months or years later. Another time my son took his car to get a nail taken out of his tire, and came out spending several hundred dollars that they said he needed to spend. He was young and inexperienced and they took advantage of him. I don't trust them to be honest about what's really needed. read more

I live in Bee Caves and have been coming here for 23 years. My family has 4 cars and 3 of them come to Lamb's in Bee Caves regularly. Bottom line: cars are expensive and if you don't maintain them (like your teeth, health, home, relationships, etc.) they cost you more in the long run. I trust Lamb's and while there might be cheaper options, this is where I go. They do have a loyalty program where you do get the ability to build up some credit. If you buy your tires with their credit card, you buy 4 for the price of 3 (for most brands, you better check). i had a bad battery and a slow leaking tire that needed immediate attention. The battery was a year old and I had purchased it at Lambs so it was still under warranty. They not only fixed both problems in 30 minutes, ( new battery and tire repair), but waived any fees because I have been a regular customer for a long time. I had to replace my front two brakes and front two rotors. Expensive fix, however John made the process less painful by being 100% transparent. I never had the feeling he was trying to sell me on something I didn't need. Super nice guy, amazing customer service. He followed up with me letting me know when my car would be done which was great. Trusting a repair or service shop is hard to do nowadays. But I won't hesitate to go back to that location specially because of John. I 100% recommend that location and I will 100% be back for future needs. ASK FOR JOHN. I kept having issues with my car misfiring in the morning. I took it to another mechanic and they had swapped out my spark plugs which, at the time, I thought it fixed the issue. A few weeks later it happened again and along with turning my engine light on. I took it to lambs and they read the code saying it looks like a spark plug issue. They recommended I take it back to the original mechanic since it should be under warranty. After taking it to the other place again they said it wasn't the sparks plug, it was the O2 sensor and that they thought my car was leaking coolant into my cylinders and that I shouldn't waste money fixing it but tor now it's running fine. The next day my engine light came back on so I decided to get another opinion from lambs and I'm glad I did!! I dropped it off with them and they ended up finding it WAS the spark plugs and the other place put a whole bunch of anti seize on them which caused the issue. Haven't had problems since! Having a good mechanic is sort of like having a good doctor. You hope you never have to see them, and preventative maintenance is key. After driving around for a week trying to pretend that my rear passenger side window was not in fact slowly creeping open on its own, I finally decided to get it checked out. I'd taken my car in to them once before to get tires, and I was happy with how friendly and helpful the mechanics were. This time was no exception. Jeremy handled my experience like a pro, and even took the initiative to fix the other window that I didn't even realize was broken. They are a bit steep, but are significantly less expensive than going to the dealership. If you ask them to work with you on the price, they will usually help out a bit with the labor cost. Every little bit helps. I really like the guys at the shop. They're always welcoming and are quick to offer you a ride home, to work, or wherever you need to go while your car is being worked on. This Lamb's is my go-to spot for car repairs, and while I appreciate their service, I hope to not see them until my next oil change! read more

A good body shop is hard to find because it's hard to trust that people won't take advantage of you. Lamb's in Bee Cave is one of those places. I've been coming here for 2 years, and this past time at Lamb's was my absolute last. My 4-year old car was making a number of noises. I took my car into Lamb's to have them take a look. They came back with a $1,330.13 quote stating I needed new muffler, resonator, gasket, hangers, front brakes, and disc brake pads. The guy at the front desk insisted I give him a $700 deposit so he could get my muffler on order and we could do all the repairs in a few days. I was skeptical. I left Lamb's and went to a reputable muffler-repair shop in South Austin (Soco Muffler & Radiator). I talked to them on the phone before I actually met them with my car. Their quote over the phone for the same exact work was about half the cost of Lamb's. When they actually saw my car in-person, they kind of chuckled at what I had been told at Lamb's. I did not need a new muffler, or resonator, or gasket, or hangers, front brakes or any of the other things Lamb's had told me. He simply fixed my exhaust pipe and the car ran fine. All for $95.00 . So, thanks for trying to rip-me-off Lamb's! I was a regular customer and it's a very convenient location for me to get a simple oil-change. I will not be returning. People of Bee Cave, find another body shop! This place is no good. read more

The team here really believes in relationships, during my wait I saw many repeat customers, clearly familiar faces and the team greeted them as such. I really appreciated the professional service, attention to detail and the 'get it done' attitude." That's honestly how I felt, I came away feeling really pleased with the first visit. Wrote a five star review (above) and didn't even think to compare their costs. Move forward to visit two, which is why this review is being edited to a two star. Visit 2, quoted a price of $1273 for work - which seemed odd as the quotes I looked up were much less. I asked them to check again and was told that's what their system said. Today the same work was carried out by another garage at a cost of $695 TOTAL. The only reason this is a two star review rather than one star, is that in fairness they didn't try to charge me a diagnosis fee. Which honestly I would have paid, but a difference of $578 is too much of a difference. Recounted my story to other local friends and it seems my experience not unusual. read more

What a great experience! My low tire light was on and I wanted to get it taken care of before I did any damage to my tires. I am a long-time customer of Lamb's but a first-time visitor to this location. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Mark Sommer. He greeted me with a smile and a handshake, listen to what my problem was and as if I was the owner had me reposition my car and had one of the team members check the tire pressure. I really wish I had gotten the technicians name because he was very polite and professional. I really think I was in and out in less than 5 minutes and if it was longer it only felt like 5 minutes. It is very hard to find this kind of service in today's society. My hat's off to Mark and his team. Lambs continues to be my place of choice to have my 4 cars serviced. Lamb to slaughter. That is how I felt after taking my car to Lamb's. I knew my radiator fan had stopped working because my car was running hot when I stopped. I left my car for Lamb's to "diagnose". When Nathan called he said "you need to have a new radiator, 2 fans, flush your system, new hoses and more it's going to cost $1040." It's a 98 Honda Civic...it's worth $2500!! I told asked what if we just out the radiator fan? He kept trying to up sell me "$465". I told him I'll just come pick it up. Got there and Lamb's still charged me $73.00 to "diagnosing". Installed a new $59 fan in 45 minutes. read more

Beware of Michael...very nice and helpful but sold me the WRONG tire...when my husband got home from a business trip he saw it was the WRONG tire. He called, Lambs admitted Michaels screw up they said they would swap for the correct tire. When I called to get the tire...oops too late says Michael you missed the deadline...no one ever said there was a deadline...nope never again... In response to Lambs Tire...Michael sold me the wrong tire! He sold me a non run flat. You can't put one run flat in a car. Michael should have told me it wasn't a run flat. He didn't YOU should have replaced it because it was MICHAELS fault. I used your company for years but NEVER EVER EVER again. Everyone should go to discount tire they are reputable and don't fleece their customers. read more

Went in for rear brake repair. They got my parts at Advance Auto paid $99 for it charged me 335.00 in other words they charge me for dealer parts. Then they charge me $234 in labor when it should have been 99 Max in other words I paid an extra two hundred and whatever 50 $60 I'll never go to them again I was in a hurry and I was kind of caught no choice next time I'll ride my brakes all the way up to Leander to my regular mechanic and get it done right and at a fair price. In other words don't go there or you're going to end up paying a lot of money. read more
