I pretended he told me his name was Bob, and I pretended that Bob told me to enter the store. Pretend or not, that turtle drove me to the store. Fortunately, I listened to Bob. This is despite not being a diver. But I am a snorkeler! In fact, the next time someone asks me my hobby, I'm going to say, "I'm a snorkeler." I have never heard that before. I bought some snorkel equipment and headed to Florida Springs. You know what kind of fish I saw there? Me neither. I just know they were little colorful ones. I also saw many of Bob's friends, many of which said hello. As far as the shopping experience goes, A+. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended--even if you only snorkel.

While in training, the Atlantic Pro Divers staff members were very professional and very patient while teaching everyone. If you don't have your own equipment the staff members at Atlantic Pro Divers are very good and knowledgeable in trying to fit you with the right equipment you will need. The staff at the marina are very friendly and helpful. We took the boat out for 4 hours, catching a total of 6 red drum my son caught the biggest of the day, a 30" plus red drum. If you want to fish and don't have a boat this place is great and you don't have to worry about loading and unloading a boat in and out of the water. All though I wish I had a boat. No maintenance or clean up This place takes care of it. They have several different boats to choose from all very nice. You do have to cover any gas you use and is kinda pricey. I guess either bc they are on the water or using ethonal free gas it was a little over 3$ a gallon to replace the gas we used. I will return to this place to rent again but prefer to eventually own my own boat in the next year to year and a half.

When the date/time for my reservation arrived, the truck was tucked behind a gate that seemed industrial, not the commercial picture available through the app. I went through all the app details, taking pictures and feeling like a U-haul employee. Once I opened the dirty back of the box truck, it was empty. No utility dollies as reserved. I walked into Soloman's and an old man said "the guy who does that stuff isn't working today, call U-Haul". Called U-Haul to explain the situation and they directed me to another location on Mayport road a few miles away. As I couldn't fit 2 utility dollies in the vehicle I arrived in, I used the box truck I just rented to visit the next location. Upon arrival, the employees looked at me like I had a disease. No dollies were available at this location. Corporate must be dumb. They then directed me to another location on Atlantic Blvd. so again, now working for U-Haul I drive to the next destination at $1.19 per mile. The Atlantic Blvd location didn't have dollies either. Fortunately for me, another vehicle had just returned with a dolly inside. The only nice employee went to retrieve it, gave it to me and I went in to alter my "contract" to remove one dolly so I wasn't charged for 2. The customer service rep at the location had to do something "she wasn't supposed to" just to remove a charge I finally gave up on (removing the second dolly). Driving to 3 locations to fix something myself and ending up an unwilling employee of U-Haul finding a dolly, all the while getting charged $1.19 per mile and not 1 of the 3 having MOVING DOLLIES, and wasting 3 hours of my life made me realize U-Haul absolutely sucks. Do NOT recommend. I will never do business with these clowns ever again.

Rarely not busy- weekends are exceptionally full and you need to be extra aware of your surroundings while driving or walking through this lot. With the extremely popular restaurant next door- the road leading in and out is busy and narrow, especially when passing big trucks towing boats! I love sunset here, and popped in just the other night for a spectacular light show of the sun setting over the inter-coastal. Happy boaters cruising by or coming out of the water. A very popular spot indeed. Along the wooded side is a crazy amount of stray cats- another reason to be careful while driving through. I have been known to show up with cat food and play the pretend to be the crazy cat lady... well, I'm not really pretending. Happy boating if you are lucky to have one, enjoy the views if you are in the area, and look out for kitties too!

Seriously Jacksonville needs fix this. How are you going to have an ideal place like this where there are only about 15 parking spaces for truck and boat trailers. I highly recommend that if you are going to launch here, either you go at the crack of dawn, late in the evening, or during the week.

We figured it needed regular maintenance -- oil change, etc -- since it probably has only about 60 hours run time on it at the most. They told us it needed a new impeller at a cost of $500. We authorized the repair. Paid for the repair. Picked up the boat and put it back in the water. First time out, just feet from the dock, the light came back on and the motor conked out. They say they have no idea what's wrong with it but we will have to pay any and all labor costs to find out. This motor was running when it went into their shop. We paid them $500 to install a new impeller. It came back completely non-functional, and they take no responsibility.

The fish weren't showing themselves like they sometimes do during flood tides, but we still got a few shots in. Paddling through the flats on a paddle board is the way to go. The sunrise tour was stunning -- truly the most beautiful time to be on the water as the birds and critters wake up. We're planning to book another tour to do the bioluminescence paddle at night as well. This sunrise tour is going on my list of best things to do in Jax -- it's truly NE FL at its best. Everything was super easy to book and Hayden had our gear ready and waiting to go, so we were able to get right on the water and see the full sunrise over the river.
