I called ahead and asked if they did eyebrow threading and the lady said they did. I then get there and she waxes my eyebrows. Not what I asked for. And there is still hair on my eyebrows where she waxed it and my eyebrows don't look good. read more

My experience was probably different than that most of the clients, but I thought I should record it for those it may interest. I'm a guy who plays guitar, and I get acrylic coatings on the thumb and first three fingers of my right hand. I used to see Jenny back when this location was Super Nails, and she always did a great job. (I should note that over the years I've had this process done at three or four different shops and have never been charged more than $12.) For reasons that have nothing to do with this review I hadn't had my nails done for quite a while, and in the meantime there's new ownership at the old location. I stopped in the other day and after some language/communications issues, managed to convey what I wanted. I foolishly did not ask about the price, assuming that even if it had gone up in the interim, like so many other things these days, it still wouldn't be a big deal. Boy, was I wrong! When I got up to the register the charge was $40. I was rather stunned, but paid it, even though it seemed insanely high. Left, went home, and got to thinking about it, and realized that I was probably charged as if I'd had all ten fingers done. Perhaps that was a mistake? I went back the next morning and was told that, no, what I was charged was correct. They charge by the job and not based on how much I actually had done. There was a little back and forth, and they refused to budge. To say that they were uncooperative and uninterested in satisfying a customer would be an understatement. Too bad. I'm satisfied with my nails and would like to be able to go back. But these people are thieves, hiding behind their "policies." I won't return. There is no other nail shop I've been to that charges this way. As I said earlier, my experience is probably unusual. Most of their clients are getting a complete job done and won't run into what I did. But make sure you understand the costs beforehand, and be aware of who you're dealing with. read more

Great walk in place! They do a thorough and solid job with SNS that doesn't chip. They put the SNS under the UV gel light to make sure the nails are strong. They have a huge selection for SNS too. Both technicians that I've had here have done a great job with shaping nails and making sure they all look the exact same. The ambience is nothing special, but the service is great! read more

This is my go to salon. I've tried so many in the area but this is my favorite and Jenny is my favorite nail tech. Her work is always flawless. I get the s & s powder (dip). It lasts a month. If I take a picture from Pinterest she does her best to help me match the color and does a great job adding rhinestone to nails. I get many compliments on my nails. The only improvement I'd suggest is for the owners to get more s & s colors. I will go to this location as long as Jenny is here. There are also a few ladies that give great pedicures. read more

I don't have a whole lot of extra money...but I treat myself to a Mani/pedi once a month. I work on my feet all day and I'm constantly sticking my hands in sinks washing dishes...but I've been to this salon 3 times now and I have yet to be disappointed. They always do an amazing job and even when there's not a technician available right when I walk in, they always set me up with a spa chair and let me soak for as long as it takes them to finish up with the other client. The older gentleman who works there gives by FAR the best foot massages...I wish I knew his name so I could tell all my friends to get him to do their pedis. His knowledge of reflexology is amazing. I used to go to Blush nail bar...but with them not having spa chairs...and the price being so much higher than other places...Super Tan and Nail is my new salon! Can't emphasize enough how impressed I am with their work. Last time I was there I had a cracked nail (all natural nails btw...no tips). The lady doing my nails not only put glue on it to set it up...but gave me SNS on that nail before putting on the gel polish I asked for. I highly recommend them to anyone in the downtown Woodstock to Bell's Ferry and 92 area!! The location may be a little run down, but it's an older part of town...that doesn't take anything away from the quality of work they do. Sometimes I've waited an hour for someone to be available...but that just proves that they do work worth the wait!! My sister and I decided to go here today, she had a gift certificate. I was in need of a pedi ( this was my 3rd one ever). I always felt that my toes were to ugly and I was embarrassed to show them. These people made me feel right at home!. I decided to go ahead and get a manicure also . I've always done my own and I don't care for colored nails or any type of nail polish. I was talked into getting gel nail polish. The lady said it would cost a little more. It cost $50.00 for my pedi and manicure!.. I had no idea it would be so expensive. I'm still in sticker shock! But my toes and finger nails look great. UPDATE: I received a message from them apologizing, they over charged me $10.00 and told me to come by and they will refund me the $10.00!.. I have set 3 different appointments at this salon and each time I've had to wait over 45 minutes. Even when calling to make sure the I wouldn't have to wait on other clients . Today I brought two of my friends and both of their services were finished before I was even seated at a table. My two friends and I came to this salon as a last-minute decision to get our nails done and our usual place was booked. We called 20 minutes in advance and they were wide open to take us. Now then, don't get me wrong, all of our nails turned out fantastic, I got simple purple nails, and my friends had much more intricate designs drawn on which ended up looking really cute. However, for one of my friends her technician was very rude to her and kept roughly pulling on her hands and was practically yelling at her whenever she wanted my friend to do anything. In my opinion, that alone drops this place to 3 stars, although my other friend and I had very nice technicians. Maybe the lady was having a bad day and my friend's nails did turn out all right, so we can't be that mad. HOWEVER, what really concerned me and I think everyone should beware of if they come here is how unsanitary they did the SNS. They dipped our nails DIRECTLY into the color pot which is a biiiig health issue. That's how infections spread and you can ruin the health of your nails. They should have poured the color out into a separate bowl and dipped our fingers into that. That's why I'm giving this place 2 stars, which is really a shame our nails turned out great, but I won't be coming back for SNS and risk an infection. Maybe I'll try again for acrylics if I want a fancy design and I'll make sure to avoid the rude technician. read more

Since then many new ones have popped up I have tried them but Super Tan and nails is the best nails around! Do not come here. Though the prices are fairly cheaper compared to any other salon. You get what you paid for. Every clear coat they do will result in small bubbles on your nails. They painted over my skin with the regular nail polish and left it like that in multiple areas on my toes and hands especially. I was there with 2 other customers and it took me 3 hours to get out with a regular mani-pedi. When they had 4 employees there. As more customers kept coming in, they neglect their current customer they are working on and finish whatever complaint the customer had. Another customer had the small bubbles I had on my nails as well and they were trying to charge her extra when she came in the next day. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND read more

At first I thought I would really like this salon. I got a full set of acrylic nails for the first time, and got a purple paint on them with matte topcoat. I was told that it was $20. When I went to pay they told me it was $5 extra for matte which I wasn't told about. They also did not clean my cuticles and left a huge gap between my nails and cuticle bed. I went come and 4 of my nails were chipped. They look awful I will not be returning. read more
