They are the best candy option in Austin. Their fudge, Longhorns and peanut clusters are the best.

While much smaller than the stand alone shop on Anderson, this location is just as good and much more convenient for some.

There's a large shared parking lot, though there's a steep incline going up to and down from the lot from the street. Walking in, we were immediately greeted and self-identified as first-time visitors. We were given a quick tour of the place, where they made their chocolate by hand and their current selections of chocolate bars, toffee barks, and truffles. I particularly enjoyed the opportunity to try the different intensities of chocolate bits they had available as samples. Ranging from 50% to 100%, my personal favorite was the 90%. We ended up getting 2 mint truffles, 2 coffee truffles, and a small bag of toffee bark for $16 + tax. They don't taste too bad with a glass of wine we had later that day, though they weren't our favorite chocolates. Overall, this chocolate factory is still worth a stop in to check out the chocolate making process, by which they still use direct-sourced cocao beans from Ecuador. They are under new ownership, yet they plan to begin offering wine pairings and couples nights in Summer 2026.

The fabulous Nicole Patel, master chocolatier (deservedly named as one of the top ten chocolatiers in the Americas), and staff create the most amazing treats using only the finest German chocolate and sustainable (e.g., holiday themed flavors, savory chocolates, wine pairings, etc.). During the Covid-19 pandemic, Delysia Chocolatier employed a little creativity and began offering virtual chocolate classes and tastings (delivered across the U.S.; local ATX can also pick up if they choose) in addition to their many other fine products. The classes and tastings have really been something [much needed!] to look forward to and change the mundane. I think I have experienced almost a dozen classes. Yes, they are that fun and yum! I've learned a lot about chocolate and the processes that DC's team goes through to handcraft EACH truffle. I'm not exaggerating one bit. Each perfect little square has a surprise in it (e.g., bit of dried fruit, a nut, even ham!) and EACH bit is placed inside each chocolate before capping. So, please join Miss Patel for one of her many upcoming tastings. I highly recommend no matter where you're at in the country - of course we do love to SUPPORT LOCAL in the ATX though. Please be sure to tell her Dawn sent you. ;) Next stop for me...a virtual journey to Japan. Oishii! Note: INDULGE monthly subscriptions also available, as well as various SAVOR truffle boxes, drinking chocolates, and more!

Yesterday, I purchased some chocolates from Golden Eye. This is the first of several treats I have planned for him. Unfortunately, Golden Eye Chocolates will be closing in about a month, so purchase some chocolates before they close down. Golden Eye is named after the golden eye flower (perennial flower with a sunflowerish look). I tried one of their samples...so smooth and creamy unlike any traditional chocolate I have ever tasted. So, I bought six chocolates. They are a little pricey at $20 given their small size, however, a nice Father's day treat. This chocolate is quite unique with flavors like matcha latte, malted grackle, blood and honey and spiced chai. Also, the owner uses items that are unique to Austin such as the golden eye flower, chocolate sunflower and fruit bats. I also like that some of the chocolate is sourced from Venezuela, Tanzania, Costa Rica and Dominican Republic (DR). I tasted DR chocolate for the first time in November when on a cruise and it was absolutely delicious. In addition to selling chocolate pieces, they sell candy bars and coffee. Service was excellent. I learned the chocolates are made in south Austin and transported to the north location. In addition, I learned the owner is a pro nature and that's why she chose the name golden eye after the flower. The shop is small with no seating indoor or outdoor. Hope my husband likes his chocolates...

Personal favorites- Husband said the coconut chocolate (speckled sky blue) was great, and I loved the cherry bomb (swirled red)- their take on a cherry chocolate but with a lovely cherry jam instead of a candied cherry. I also really enjoyed the 'basic' chocolate truffles- smooth, creamy, and decadent!

Many laptops were opening and active highlighting Indeed Coffee as a destination for students and remote workers. Given that it was my first time visiting Indeed, my barista made some suggestions. One of the top selections was the Lion latte, which contained lion mane's powder. Initially, I was hesitant to try a latte containing lion's mane, but ultimately decided to proceed. The coffee was well-crafted, smooth, and balanced with attention to detail. The espresso flavor was bold and robust...memorable! TacoDeli also provides tacos to Indeed Coffee. I was super disappointed when I ordered a vegan taco with avocado, black bean and pico de gallo and was given a bean and cheese taco twice. Apparently, TacoDeli had put the wrong stickers on the taco. My money was refunded and I got a chocolate vegan croissant, which was most delicious. Service was a standout with three baristas all serving you in some capacity. They were all friendly and accommodating.
