This is a nice candy store that is easily found when you enter one of the mall entrances. The store is open to the mall, so candy is visible immediately! This includes the individual piece counter, boxes, packages, etc. I was there to pick up an order of specially ordered chocolate covered strawberries (a seasonal offering). I was greeted immediately. The employees were amiable and easy to interact with. My chocolate covered strawberries were amazing! They were dipped and covered completely. The strawberries were fresh and de-stemmed. I love Lamme's candy. It's Austin original and gift that to many people. Lakeline mall store is convenient and close. Been going there for some time. Not any more. I will order online or go elsewhere (finding out Amazon Carrie's it). But not to Lakeline mall store. Bought a wrong candy by mistake. Never opened the box, still in shrink wrap had the receipt - took it there to exchange for the right one. The so called manager lady was pretty rude. She looked at the receipt and said nope no return or exchange once it leaves the store. So called policy. Not surprised. But the way she treated us, as if we are shoplifters. Forget about her saying "sorry", it felt like we should be thanking her for spitting in our face. We still needed the right kind, paid for it and walked out. Not going there again. It's too bad it's convenient. But if they cannot be polite (forget being nice) they should close down the place. read more

Spending more time at the mall than I wanted searching for a Christmas outfit, I decide to find my way out. Then it magically appeared next to me, a beacon of light in a dismal shopping experience. Hello Chocolate, I love you. It was my birthday treat to myself. Four dark chocolate covered raspberry jellies, six assorted dark chocolate truffles. I didn't even wait until I got to the car to dig in. Oh, so good. No, I didn't eat them all at once. My only gripe was they tossed them into a bag instead of those little boxes. read more

My lovely wife wanted some chocolate dipped strawberries. Went to get some at Lakeline Mall after looking online to find when they would be for sale. For the two of us we wanted to purchase 6 strawberries. Was less than happy to find out when getting to the head of a short line that they only sold them by the dozen. No matter what your younger body may tell you a dozen is too many for two older people. Maybe that should be somewhere in their advertising. "Minimum purchase required". Not the type of person to say I will never be back but at my age it should not be that difficult. read more

At first I was so excited because they had chocolate covered strawberries. ( I'm pregnant) so definitely craving.. I bought 23 dollars worth and went to sit down and try one. As I opened the carton I realized it was dark chocolate. I was not happy with that so less than a minute later I went back to see if I could switch it out as I didn't touch a single strawberry. She said that she couldn't do any returns or exchanges. Normally I would be like "oh okay" BUT these cartons had both dark and milk chocolate in the same stack. The cartons were NOT labeled what so ever to let you know which one is which. One of the cartons had a crack so I saw that it was milk chocolate. (The strawberries were in egg cartons) So since they were in the same stack I thought they were all milk chocolate. And nothing else told me otherwise. When she told me that she couldn't give me any money back or exchange them, I told her "well they aren't advertised in any order so that really isn't fair. You also never asked what kind I would like either" she got an attitude and said "they are advertised" I then replied "where was it advertised? Show me" she said "on business cards" ummmmmmm.... that's not showing me what kind is which. ALSO the business cards were laying BEHIND the counter. So no it was NOT. Advertised. Normally i wouldn't care but this was 23 dollars worth of strawberries and it's not like It was my fault and I misread anything. Not very happy read more

ok Valentines Weekend has started :-) my review of this yummi place wont be about actually being at one... from what i can see 5 locations in Austin and 2 in Round Rock...but just about how good the chocolatre is...... today the mailman arrived carrying a nice white box adressed to ME !! upon opening i find 2.....yes... 2 boxes of wonderful Texas treats.... box 1: Texas Chewie Pecan Pralines... nice sized squares of Texas Pecans covered in gooey praline....i had to try one....its Valentines Weeked yanno...and it would be rude not to try out a gift :-) filled with pecans and the praline candy tastes like butter....so so good box 2: Texas Longhorns....up here known as turtles....loads of caramel and chocolate over Texas pecans.....having to try one again as not to be rude :-) ... my teeth sink into some of the best caramel i have ever tasted....and full of pecans.... chocolate and pecans....what a great way to start off Valentines Weekend :-) and this has nothing to do with the candy ...but.....also there was a cool Austin Sno-Globe :-) shake it and not only cool glitter falling over Austin landmarks, the UT Tower, State Capital, the 360 bridge, etc , but the world famous Austin bats flying around...all to the tune of *Deep in the Heart of Texas :-) and for you Texas ex-pats here in Chicago, check the website because they will ship these Texas goodies anywhere.... now if only Torchy's would ship me some tacos :-) thanks sweetie read more

Came in on Monday to do some shopping. The mall was quiet. Got what I needed and thought I would get some candy on my way out. I use to shop in Round Rock. Sadly the woman on duty was more interested on what was on her phone than helping me. When she finally realized I was there, she put her phone in her apron and clearly wasn't happy to help. At that point I should have left. I picked out a critter and longhorn and some others. Almost $10 for a few pieces. Small pieces. Prices are too high and service from the manager, as I finally saw her tag, was horrible. I will not come back to buy candy here. read more

They are the best candy option in Austin. Their fudge, Longhorns and peanut clusters are the best.

I always buy my Valentine's Day candy from Lamme's, this year was no exception. The chocolate dipped strawberries were delicious and the counter help couldn't have been nicer. read more
