I inflated the punctured tire and was there in under 4 minutes, left my vehicle off and walked back home. They had my tired repaired an hour later and I picked up my vehicle. I was truly impressed in how I was a walk-in with no appointment, yet, they squeezed me in on very short notice and I was on my way in short time! When shopping for new 4 new tires in Fall 2025, I certainly wanted to get a quote from them and it was very competitive to anyone else around. They don't offer free puncture repair or free rotation, but, that wasn't a critical requirement and I also felt I owed a local/Vermont company my business over using a national chain store, taking into account the puncture repair done there in 2024. I dropped off my vehicle for the 9am appointment and my car was ready at 10:40am and ready to go! Impressive! I had a few questions later in the day regarding TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) and stopped by to ask and had all questions answered clearly and completely. Well done! My vehicle will be out of warranty soon and due to both the short distance from my home, but, also and more importantly, the quality of work done here and the promptness to get me in and out so well, I'll be a customer here,... ongoing. For my first experience at Jason Leo's with a pricey investment into my vehicle, I'm feeling that I'm in very good hands and made the right choice of where to get my work done.

I love this town, and I know that things like this matter to our community. My brother brought my vehicle in to Tinker's Auto on 7/21/2020 for an oil change and state inspection. It was the first time I'd brought a vehicle to them, but knew they were a newer business and wanted to support my neighbors. For full transparency, my car didn't pass inspection. They didn't charge me for the inspection either (which was a pleasant surprise and I really appreciated)! So this review has nothing to do with that. One of the owners, Nickie Tinker, was at the front desk. There are bags of locally-sourced popcorn that customers can purchase. Another customer was at the desk talking to Nickie about this while my brother was waiting, and Nickie starts talking about how when she was a kid, they used to call the burnt popcorn kernels "niiiii---- heads". She didn't actually say the word, but turned to my brother and said "What were they called?" She was trying to get my brother to say it for her. My brother, not wanting to engage, said "I have no idea what you're talking about". Nickie then half-said the word again, and said something to the extent of "We're not supposed to say that any more." After my brother recounted the story to me, I posted on Facebook to (my friends only) asking for advice on how to handle this. Someone evidently told Nickie about my plan to publicize my brother's experience. She called me via FB messenger twice on Sunday (7/26) before 9am, and then wrote me a message (see screenshots). It is clear that she doesn't remember what she said that day. But she does recount how that while she is not a racist, she does condone racist conversation in her place of business. If you don't take issue with this sort of thing, by all means, give these people your money. But if you expect better from your neighbors, maybe choose to have your vehicle serviced elsewhere.

One way to overcharge customers is by working on two cars simultaneously and charging each customer individually. Another is to round up labor charges at the margins. The dealer charges a 4% credit card fee and $100/hour for labor. But as the above examples illustrate, my concern is not about the de jure hourly rate, just the basis on which they were applied. If you're not price sensitive--and this is the only auto dealer that I believe is currently operating in Jeffersonville--I would not hesitate to recommend this dealer even if you are an easy mark. As for the recently closed other auto repair shop in Jeffersonville, my family used him for many years and never had such an experience.
