I had 2 lamps that were pushed off my table by my kitty. The area where you put the light bulbs were broken and a bit twisted in the main lamp. Got them repaired in a few days time. I brought a pair of table lamps that my Mom had in her living room for as long as I can remember. The base lights up as well as the top and I always loved them. However they have to be over 50 years old and the harps were wobbly. David replaced the sockets and hardware so the harps fit correctly. He replaced the bulbs in the bases. He also changed the wiring and plug with a fire color that better matched the lamps. The lamps look great and he turned them around in a day. David is a real expert! read more

Wow, I am so grateful for this place. My husband broke the switch one of my favorite lamps during lockdown 2020. It was only a cheap Target lamp from about 15 years ago, but it was the first thing I bought for myself when I moved away from home, and it holds sentimental value. Disappointing experience. We read all these other reviews and we are very confused. The man we dealt with(older man) was very rude and not helpful at all. My brother and I took my mother to the lamp doctor to have her old vintage hurricane lamp fixed, which from what we understand shouldn't be too complex, and before my mom even got the lamp out of the box he said he couldn't help her. Abruptly cut my mother off and kept repeating he couldn't help. It was like we were bothering him and he didn't want to be bothered. Kept looking down and repeating that he couldn't help and it's not what he does. Didn't even let my mom explain what needed to be done. We are still shocked and confused about his actions. I felt very bad for my mom. The lamp was given to her from her father in the 70's and this "doctor" wanted nothing to do with it. The only words he spoke were "no I can't help with that, I don't do that. I can't help you, I can't help you." Beyond unpleasant and very unfortunate. read more

You walk into this shop and get transported back to an earlier time, when people lived in small towns and only went to the shops their main street. This could have been one of the stores around the corner from Mr. Rodgers in Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood. Good, fast service by a pleasant man who takes pride in his work. I took a floor lamp that had been collecting dust for years there and he fixed it for $35 - I'm sure smaller lamps would be less.
