I purchased an air conditioner from Uneeda for my entire downstairs of my house. This was a through the wall 24500 BTU unit. Wanted it delivered and paid the $85 charge. I had called them and asked when they would deliver it. They said it did not arrive at their store yet to ship. Well now close to 3 weeks already and temperatures in the mid 90's I had called again to find out they still did not get my purchase in. I cancelled my order and at this time I do not care if I pay the $200 extra cost from Lowes or Home Depot for the same air conditioner. It is worth my health than the stupid $200 . Unfortunately, it couldn't meet my specific requirements (gas incompatibility) and as per the policy of your business, I made my request for seeking pickup and the refund which was rejected by your administration authority. Consequently, when I asked them for the reason they provided me with some terms and conditions to violate my refund request. Despite having an agreement for pickup. I paid a private company to return the appliances and was never offered the refund. I needed a new dishwasher since my old one went. I went to Uneeda since we had them few times on other appliances in the past. I am glad I did, the floor manager Richard Beischer was very helpful, he took the time to explain the different models and the options I had to chose from. He was very patient, extremely knowledgeable about the various dishwasher models and most of all friendly and courteous. He made sure that I get a good deal for the best price and quality and durability. All in all it was a very pleasant experience with Uneeda, thanks to Richard. They get two stars because the supervisor was nice enough to help me out. However, if not for that they would get one. The delivery guy broke one of my martini glasses, which had sentimental value, and had the audacity to get smart with me while I was talking to my friend over the phone. Saying, "why didn't you move the table". As a "professional", you should not speak to a customer that way. Plus common sense should tell the mover if he cant clear the space, then ask for the object to be moved. If it can be avoided I would definitely ask my complex to use another company. read more

Have been living in the raritan area for 10 years. I like to give the local business's a chance and give them business whenever I can. I had purchased all my appliances from big chain stores in the past so wanted to give Uneeda a chance when my tenants oven broke. I ordered a brand new hotpoint GE oven on December 31st 2016. It was delivered on jan 5, 2017. From day one the oven gave off a bad smell. Was told you have to let it burn off the smell for three hours. Well did that 3 more times over the next few weeks and the smell did not burn off. Called GE to tell them of the problem and they sent a repair man. The repair man tried it and said there is something wrong they will order a new part. That took a few weeks and then the repair man came to install new part. The problem still existed and the repair man said looks like the oven is defected and they will send a new oven. That took another two months. In the meantime the oven was unusable. Today may 4, 2017 the new oven came and was installed with the same issue. I called Uneeda to see what can be done about this and they said it's out of their hands. That I had the oven for a half year when In reality it's been four months and the oven hasn't worked from day 1. That I have to deal with GE directly. It's nice that a local business that I went to to support in the community washes their hands from this. Would have thought they would have stood behind the products they sold. But once it's out of their door they don't want to know anything about it. Would have appreciated if the sales person would have checked into this product for the paying customer (myself) I would of had no issues. It would have shown that Uneeda puts customers first. Will never buy again from them. Want to update my review. Spoke to owner Wyatt directly and he gave me a full refund on the product. I showed him all the evidence I had with the product being defective and he issued me a full refund. I'm happy with the result. It took 6 months but he did the right thing to satisfy a customer. read more

Avoid this place!! If I could give them 0 stars I would. I figured I would give this place a try they have been in business for a while and their prices seemed better then the big box retailers. I also figured going to a small local store would be better customer service then the big chains but boy was I wrong. I ordered a Window AC unit from them they told be it would take a week to get to the store because they had to order it. A week passes nothing 2 weeks pass nothing still so I call them. It's still not in they said maybe another week. First off don't tell me a week when you are unsure of how long it will take. Finally went to the store to pick it up over 3 weeks after I ordered it. Got home opened it and tried to get it working and find out the front grill doesn't fit on the AC right and just keeps falling off and because that's where the power on and off panel is the ac shuts off every time it falls off. I call them and tell them about the problem at this point it's been so long I either want a refund a replacement or someone to fix it somehow, which seems reasonable when you buy a brand new AC and it's not working. After days of calls and talking to a pretty rude person at the store they finally send someone over to try and get it to work right and they can't the grill on the front kept falling off for them also. So at this point it's been 5 weeks since I ordered this AC and I still don't have a working product. They say they contacted LG to send me a new grill and it still doesn't work!! It's a problem with the AC unit itself I think. Anyway at this point Uneeda does not want to help anymore at all they are unwilling to give me a refund or a replacement so now I'm out $300 and have a brand new AC unit that doesn't work. The moral of the story is they might be a little cheaper but don't let the low prices and charm of a small local business fool you they are just out to get your money and once they have it good luck getting any help from them if something goes wrong with your purchase. At least most big box stores offer some sort of guarantee on their products, apparently the only guarantee that Uneeda offers is that you will get awful customer service. read more

Having a problem getting service done on an ice maker. Took out extended warranty ( don't do it, there an ins. Co. Can never get an answer or reply) finally get appointment only to have to call Tek and find out due to the rain he will not be able to fit me in, Hmmm, the rain... anyway he waisted my day, so I cancelled his service at least 3 times again with no aknowledgement from them and today he shows up. We received as a gift a brand new whirlpool gold range from Uneeda with the 5 year protection plan. 2 years in we had to have every sensor, the igniter and the entire control panel replaced since the repair techs could not clearly diagnose what was causing the oven to randomly turn off or spike to over 500 degrees. Even after all that it continued to do the same thing. Either burning or not cooking our food thus wasting our time and money. They deemed the unit unrepairable and offered us $195 for a range that cost $950 to buy. Plus they have the nerve to ask us to cut the power cord to receive the $195. We just want a properly working unit. I know for a fact that other retailers either fix the unit or replace it at the full price paid and would never ask for something as ridiculous as to cut the power cord. Avoid Uneeda at all costs. Any and every other option is a better one. read more

My friend bought 2 new portable A/C units here. One of them didn't work (out of the box) and instead of just exchanging her brand new broken unit for a brand new working one, they refused. Now she's jumping through hoops with a manufacturer who is confused why the dealer didn't just do an exchange and return it to them. Bad customer service, bad support. I bought appliances at three of the big box stores and had horrible experiences. Went to Uneeda because a friend said he'd been going for years and was always happy. Had not gone before because of some bad reviews here. Well, my personal reference was correct - they found me exactly what I needed, worked with me on price and made very flexible delivery arrangements to help me out. Both appliances were delivered as promised, on a weekend, and installed nicely. I'll come back and update my review if there are any issues, but so far I'm hooked, they get all my business from now on. read more

Near disaster - so far. I placed an order online on 8/11 and received an email saying they would call to confirm the order. No call. I called Sunday and the rep told me he could not find the order - he then told me to call tomorrow to speak with the Internet rep. (no offer to take a message and have him call me.) so, I called Monday and was told "He's sorting orders. Can you call back after noon?" (again, no offer to take a message) I diligently called back at 3, but the guy was with a customer. The fellow who took my call could not locate my order number but said he would look into it and call me back. It's now 8 pm and guess what? No call back! Uneeda, you need real help. You would think that in today's economy more than ever that a customer would be coddled. 8/18 update: All's well that ends well? Uneeda did not call back as promised. But when I called again, the fellow who answered had my info in front of him. Two things to note: their online system accepted my Amex, but this rep said Uneeda does not actually accept it, so I had to give him a different card number. We'll see if I get billed twice. Second, he said delivery to my area was not available even though they billed me for it. Long story short, they got my town's name confused with a different town. Today, one week after placing the order, my order was delivered. Not likely worth the hassle for my to try Uneeda again. read more

I purchased a Whirlpool French Door 25 cubic foot refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom less than 2 years ago. Both of the doors to the refrigerator section are temperamental in closing, and may hang open up to an inch or so, leaving the refrigerator to continually run. I called UNEEDA repair about it as soon as I realized what was happening shortly after I had received delivery and the repair guy told me that this was one of the problems with this model and nothing could be done. I rechecked the balance myself and it is balanced. I went back to the store and spoke to the sales man who sold it to me and he indicated he had the same model and that he just makes a habit of frequently checking the doors to make sure that they are shut tight. So the sales man KNEW it was model issue and never mentioned it to me. BEWARE of shopping here. read more

this place doesn't know the meaning of customer service.we bought a small fridge that doesn't keep food cold. they REFUSED to let us return it even though we had it less than a week. their return policy that they never tell you is once it's opened it can't be returned. Bought a refrigerator on October 1, 2012, Cannot get the ice and water to work and have had the run around for 12 weeks, 4 appliance repair calls and still waiting for a filter bottle to arrive to see if we can fix it. Uneeda was more than willing to sell us the refrigerator but wants nothing to do with getting us service to get this thing resolved. I would steer clear of this store as you will spend the same amount you would at a reputable appliance store and get 1,000 times more customer service. Very very disappointed. read more

We decided to support a local business instead of going to a big box store. We completely regret doing so. They told us they were giving us a better deal than Home Depot on our washer and dryer because they were giving us a rebate that they only had. My husband specifically asked if it was the clean energy rebate, as we could have gotten that at Home Depot too. They said it was additional to the clean energy rebate. They also included free delivery and installation. My husband asked if they will have all the materials or if he needed to have anything. He was told "our people are much more qualified than Home Depot and were professionals- they will have everything on their truck." They were supposed to deliver them between 10-12. When they were not there in that range I called and I was told that it was actually 12-4 and they never told my husband it was 10-12. When I was not happy about this, I was told "it's a better range than the cable company gives you." When the delivery people finally arrived, they had no idea they were supposed to install them, too. They called the store and were told yes- install them. It turns out they needed to go out and get supplies. It then took over two hours to install. When we first used our washer, it leaked, as they did not install it correctly. They never gave us the rebate information. When we called, they said we would have to come into the store to pick it up. They finally gave in to mailing them to us. What they mailed us was the brochure for the clean energy program and a rebate form for half the amount of what they said it was. When we filled it out, it turned out it was only for appliances purchased a month later than when we purchased it. Therefore, we never received any additional rebates and it was just as expensive as if we went to Home Depot, with the added headaches. I have used this company for several houses over a period of roughly 25 years. I tried others and they all paled in comparison. I am truly surprised by some of the reviews I read as I have never experienced any problem that was not immediately rectified. They have the best pricing bar none, the best delivery on time and people, and are always able to get the product I want. I do alot of homework before ordering. What I would suggest to buyers is know what you are doing and then go to them to see what their take is. I go to at least three vendors just to gather info. When I have to pre order for a reno I am doing(privately, not a business)I always check my items when delivered even if I won't be ready to install for a few weeks. Things happen in shipping and orders go through many hands. You are the end user so own that responsibility when you are spending your cash. I have bought some dinged items and they have actually lasted longer than some new "perfect products". The other thing I have learned, not that you asked, is that you don't have to order groups of items. I used to do that for pricing advantage and standard looks. But now I buy what works. Never had luck with anything GE, so looked at other brands. When I got away from the grouping I found stainless to be stainless and white to be white so started ordering based on quality and perks of any individual item. I am so thrilled to take this approach as I have to replace less often and I get what I really need in an item. Groupings don't wear out at the same time. Hope this helps the next buyer.
