Salesman claims he was saving me money on a Bose sound bar 700 but then gave me a 300 in generic box. I was unaware until I went there to buy the subwoofer when another salesman pointed it out. Unfortunate for them I had a witness with me so there was no misunderstanding. I confronted the rep and sales manager for which they did nothing except process a refund. I spent 3k that day and what seemed like a great experience turned into a horrible scam. Went here to buy a new TV and had a fantastic experience. Robert greeted me as soon as I walked in and started helping me as soon as he saw me looking at TV's. He had an expert level of knowledge about TV's and gave me way more information than I needed- which is exactly the type of guy I want selling me a TV. He showed me the pros and cons of a couple different sets and gave me the perfect amount of advice. The set I decided on fit perfectly in my place and he even up-sold me a bit. In the age of dying brick and mortar tech stores (think: the Wiz, Circuit City, etc.), only two major brands seem to be left in the NJ/PA region (or at least where I live in both states). 1) Best Buy 2) PC Richard Both have their own merits, with Best Buy still attracting a good consumer base, both online and in store, due to good prices and its Rewards program. That being said, I've frequently noticed BB to be lacking in customer service. Enter PC Richard. Quite honestly, I'm somewhat surprised that they outlived other stores like Circuit City, but then again, that shows that they must be doing the right stuff! PC Richard is great to pick up whatever appliance or electronic item you need - whether the new flat panel for the man cave or the new fridge (we've done both, with no regrets!). They price everything fairly, and are even willing to budge a little bit on the price or throw in a freebie or two if you negotiate a bit, which is nice. Also, their floor salesmen are less "used car" and more Amazon-types, being extremely helpful and knowledgable. Yes, I just compared them favorably to the legendary customer service of Amazon. My family and I have been customers of PC Richards for over 10 years, my father and mother- probably more. Recently I moved into a new apartment after living on campus throughout college and purchased most of my electronics and other needs with PC. As a house warming gift, my fiance purchased my beautiful Canon camera here. I find that PC Richards really works with the customer and offers quality customer service. This matters most to me because I have dealt with other companies who put finances before their values. One of the representatives that helped me the most is a young lady named Daniella at the front desk in the Raritan location. I recently called her because I wanted to compare prices with Best Buy and Walmart on a new camera. PC Richards matches or beats out other prices so I wanted to see if they would match Best Buys deal. Daniella was extremely polite, attentive and patient. She took her time answering all of my questions and got me in contact with the right sales rep to handle my sale and compare other cameras in my price range. Most importantly, when my fiance and I ran into a problem with our washer, Daniela took charge and helped ease a very irritating situation. Our washer had begun to leak water and shut off in the middle of cycles. I contacted PC Richards Customer Care several times and was FINALLY scheduled for a maintenance appointment. Needless to say, whoever was supposed to show up, never did and never called. I felt so frustrated because I had taken off a day of work! I called PC Richards in Raritan where i purchased the washer and I was very angry. I explained the situation to Daniella and she was so understanding and helpful. This young lady helped me feel important and set us up for an appointment immediately. The best part is that a day after our appointment, Daniela contacted us to make sure that our problem had indeed been resolved. Who does that? My fiance and I were astonished that someone, especially in a sales store would even care that much as to reach out to us. After the manner in which PC Richards customer care handled our call, dealing with Daniella made all the difference. I am returning the favor in the best way I know how, by acknowledging someone who went beyond what they had to do and actually took initiative. No wonder my family has stuck with PC Richards- they care about their customers and that means a ton. The sales person is great, the managers could use a training lesson and the District Momager as well. They do NOT value loyal customers. The warehouse and delivery are always a problem, 3 STOVE IN A FEW MONTHS EACH Delivery had to be rescheduled more than one time as to their screw up. I wrote a letter to corp and email NO reply. I sent another letter, i guess dont hold your breath. there will be NO next time, as i will shop their stores for price and go else where to price match, Do NOT worry i got a big discount for each stove!. One of them was in the mattress department who gave me an awesome tour through the department and advised me on the different types of mattress available. The other employee (not sure which one was in what dept.) greeted me as I entered the store and I was carrying a plastic bag which you couldn't see through and "get this"? This is my second review for them and I wish I can give a negative star. It seems that this place gets lower quality equipment and of course has 3rd grade customer service. Within 2 years since I bought my appliances from them, I had to get cooking range repaired 5 times, dishwasher 2 times, and washer 3 times. My previous appliances had first service call after 10 years. I have extended warranty but every time you call their service department they make you feel like they are doing you a favor. They speak very rudely and it usually takes two weeks for service. We have been out of gas and washer for that long! read more

I'm choking on even giving this store one star. Had a delivery window on a new washer scheduled from 2:00 to 5:15. When nobody showed up I called and cancelled delivery because we were leaving town. Said I would call back when we returned from weekend away.. Delivery guy showed up three hours late wondering where we were. Sales people called six times minimum during our weekend away. I call to reschedule with a my sales guy who is matter of fact about "these things" happening. Obvious disregard for my time! So, we reschedule for Sunday delivery. Guess what? The guy misses his three hour window from 830-1130 am. At this point I'm out over six hours of my time. I'm returning this washer which showed up over an hour late again. I would prefer to work with a professional company that appreciates my time and business and puts a professional foot forward in all instances.
