Lamppost has not only amazing coffee but it also has a very welcoming indoor environment where u can read, work from, study or meet up with friends. As someone who works from home it's a great place to get out of the house and enjoy some coffee during the work day! Price is a little high but the coffee you get is worth it. read more

I've been to this Lamppost four times. Only once did I get what I wanted (which, I'll note, was on the menu each time). I drink coffee because I like the taste of a well-made cup. I'll order pour-overs before anything else and will skip a coffee shop because they don't have them. Lamppost has them on their menu but three of the four times I've been there they either couldn't or wouldn't make one. Couldn't because no one was trained to do it (Seriously? In a coffee shop no one is trained to make coffee?) Wouldn't because there was a line. (Ummm ... there's ALWAYS a line.) I will NOT be back. If you want a great pour-over that you won't have to guess whether you'll get or not, go to 309. AMAZING. The space here is so clean and adorable! We got to interact with the employees and the manager and everyone was so kind and welcoming. The space is large enough where it never felt loud. The lighting always a great calming atmosphere. The front of the coffee shop is filled with natural lighting, and the back is calming with the dimmer lighting. There is even an outdoor area that made me feel like I was immersed in nature to go camping. read more

I tried this place for the first time today. I had arrived 15 minutes early to an appointment down the street and had heard this place recommended on my neighborhood page so I figured with 15 minutes to kill, I'd give them a try. I was in and out in 2 minutes! Plenty of time to drink an espresso before my appt and drive back. This place has 3 different rooms, plus outside seating, and wifi. Lots of tables and couches. It would be great to work from or meet friends at. They even have a cut little espresso cup to go, as seen in the pic. Their signature drink is the Lamba Latte. This was the place my bf and I would go to every weekend. Their coffee with the monkey muffin was perfection...for me what made it so was the muffin with dark chocolate banana and walnut. Their normal coffee its alright, if you like ice latte their lambda coffee is quite good. I am just not that into sweet coffee. A few weeks ago they changed their monkey muffin recipe to cinnamon which I am personally not a fan of. That is why I give it 4 stars. I enjoyed the place.. I won't be going out of my way to go there anymore but If you are planning to study or chill it's a nice place to go to if nearby. read more

I stopped in here after going for a walk in Georgetown with my husband. I love trying new coffee shops. I'm currently on an iced coffee/latte kick (so refreshing in the heat!). I got the lamba latte iced with oat milk and it was delicious, sweet, so creamy. A perfect treat for the weekend! The shop was very clean inside. All the workers were wearing masks. Only patrons who were sitting at a table had their masks off. The tables were all pushed to the perimeter of the shop leaving a wide space in the middle for everyone else to walk through. Came here late one night and really liked the ambiance and the staff were laid back and so friendly!! We love that they make the fancy latte even when you're dairy free. We wandered into Lamppost on a Monday early afternoon. They are very clean and have lots of seating in the front room, back room, and the outdoor seating out back (which we used). I ordered an iced tea and unfortunately they were out of basic black tea but that's not the end of the world. The iced earl grey I got was average. The barista who took our order paused to take a personal phone call before taking our orders, which...if it was an emergency, I can understand, but was very odd. My friends got various coffee drinks - iced coffee, as well as some of their Christmas specials. They enjoyed them but it was nothing particularly memorable. They have two bathrooms in the back, but unfortunately they have a step up so individuals with mobility issues may have difficulty. This is my biggest concern with Lamppost. It's not necessarily clear where you are supposed to stand and wait for your drink, and there is lots of seating near the counter, so it was a bit cramped and awkward waiting for our drinks. They have a decent drink menu and it's clean. Their tables would make good study spots for students. Its location right off the square makes it easy to find and park near. read more

Emily & I came on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty busy. But we were still able to find a seat and we got our drinks in a reasonable amount of time. I got a iced vanilla latte and it was pretty good. I mean you can't really mess that up. Not the best vanilla latte I've ever had but definitely was what I needed it to be. Emily got a mocha with almond milk. She says it was "different" but she doesn't really know why. It took time to get used to but overall it was pretty ok. Was very sweet.
