    afternoon tea
    Sonal G.

This is a really cute little coffee shop in Georgetown that offers an afternoon tea! I brought my mom here for her and my birthday and got to enjoy two pots of really nice loose-leaf tea (a blue jasmine and a white peach tea) with plentiful pastries and desserts and tea sandwiches. It really felt hearty and filling but also very well-made, flavorful treats. The scones were one of the highlights for me - not too sweet but nice and crumbly and moist. The only thing I was missing was some clotted cream or jam to go with the scones! Both our teas did get bitter so I would have liked them to be pre-steeped and strained before they got to the table so they didn't continue to steep if we took our time with the tea. Other than these minor details, I highly recommend this afternoon tea at a great price. The service was wonderful, and super friendly and helpful. It's also in a cute little complex with some other shops as well. Highly recommend!

Wow such great little coffee spot! The cafe is so cutely decorated and actually quite calming, so I imagine working here on a quiet afternoon would be so nice. Staff was kind and efficient, she even helped me pick between two coffees and I went with the campfire latte, yummy and no burnt espresso!!! A girls dream

    Matcha

I don't think I've ever even seen a matcha look that terrible. To make things even worse, it was $10. It looks like a radioactive limeade you'd get at the county fair. If you look close enough you can see 1 of the 3 almost melted ice cubes at the top, doing absolutely nothing for my iced drink. I left the drink with the employees and my email so the manager can contact me regarding a refund. I immediately went down the street to Starbucks where I spent $4.82 on a matcha that was actually green. Service was fine and I felt bad because the barista who made it was actually nice but as a barista I really hope you'd know better than to hand someone a "matcha" that looks like sewage

Small coffee cafe w very nice interior and wonderful staff. It's a nice quick place to catch up with a friend or hold a business meeting. Coffee is strong, light fare food was tasty. It has options for seating such as two and four tables and also several couches. Also opens up to a courtyard. The menu is not overly cluttered with extra coffee options, it's very straightforward. I went w the cold brew w caramel flavor and almond milk and it was great.

I hosted my friend's baby sprinkle at Rivery Coffeehouse & Desserts. Rivery offers an afternoon tea with savory + sweet treats, a pot of tea per person, and a glass of sparkling wine for $39 per person which is a reasonable price compared to other high tea options in Austin. We did an afternoon tea party for the sprinkle, and the staff at Rivery went above and beyond for us. They set up a long table on the side of the restaurant that they blocked off for our party's exclusive use. They also decorated the table beautifully with fresh flowers. The china, ambiance, and overall vibe was adorable and the mom to be absolutely loved it! The food was exceptional and the tea was delicious! You can book their afternoon tea experience on Tock. Highly recommend for a fun & tasty afternoon activity!

Service was top notch. We had the house coffee it was good, but we preferred a stronger brew. But those bagels. Texas got donuts and kolaches for truck tires. But a good chewy bagel with a healthy smear is like panning for gold. Geeez Texas these bagels must be born in New York and flown to the rivery daily. They are just that good. Looking forward to our next doctors appt to stop back in. In the meantime mazaltov!!

I stopped here on my drive up to Dallas, I really enjoyed the coffee but thought the bagel sandwich was okay. My order total seemed pretty expensive and I would have skipped the bagel sandwich in the future. Good spot for coffee though and really cute inside decor!

ORDER - Raspberry Cheese Cake - Iced Rivery Matcha Rivery Coffeehouse and Desserts offers drinks, and eats such as grilled cheese, salad, and other foods along with pastries and cakes. The Raspberry Cheese Cake was good. Nice consistency of cheesecake and evenly sweet across the cake. The Iced Rivery Matcha was a good drink alone as far as taste, but it did not really taste like matcha. It was overly milky which overpowered the potential for the matcha flavor so it was a little disappointing. VIBES Quickly glancing, there are about 7 tables with seating for maybe 22 people. The design is modern and decently clean. There are some parts that look like they could be cleaned better in the interior, however, the tables are clean. There is also seating available outside. Great place to study or catch up with friends, just a little on the smaller side. SERVICE Serivce was nice. The person who took our order was a new worker getting trained, but the process was still fast and our drinks came out in less than 5 minutes. Overall, really pleased.

This is a super cute coffee shop located close to the wolf ranch area! Now, i still prefer my starbucks but i always like to go somewhere local every so often! It is a good place to got before you go shopping or a midway snack! A huge plus for my my gluten-free friends, a lot of the food options are gluten-free!!! The cutest part is the tea set up! It make me want to have a tea party!!

The best bagel I've ever had. The coffee is good too. Keep in mind however, there is no decaf. People are always helpful, will return.

Extensive menu and great baked goods. Seating is limited so don't think you'll be able to camp out and work at the cafe all day.

Their mission is to provide employment for adults with special needs and their profits support a vocational program to empower local citizens. When you first enter the building, you see a shop with lots of beautifully crafted and interesting products. Lots to shop here, although prices are high which then again, part of the proceeds go into a good cause and the products are well made. The cafe is located at the back of the shop. We spent a little time browsing the shop before going to the cafe. The cafe itself is so welcoming and spacious! Not a great ton of seating available but there's outdoor seating area with turf, which I can see is a huge plus when cooler weather arrives. I love the signs on the wall, very motivating sayings and quotes. For food, I had the avocado toast with bacon and fried egg and an espresso. It was delicious! Price point was good and food came out hot and fresh. I noticed when we were there, the lady at the counter (presumably the manager) was addressing the patrons by name, which was such a nice touch to see. It feels like this place really cares for their customers and is an established place in the local community. Parking is free and ample spaces available when we went there on a Friday morning. I like this place so much I ended up bringing my family there the following week. Support a good cause and eat a nutritious meal at the same time. Go visit!

Need or want...same difference. Smile. I was actually toying with the idea of buying some mud honey (spiced honey). My barista said that that the mud honey was a part of the Adaptogen Latte. The word Adaptogen sounded to me like a CBD substance. My barista assured me that an adaptogen was a nontoxic substance from a plant or mushroom extract. Thus, I decided to try this latte. While the latte was pleasantly refreshing, I could not taste a distinctive mud honey. Thus, I decided to purchase the latte but not the mud honey. This bistro was cute with the trappings of homemade goodies such as cookies, pastries and other snacks. After the book discussion, folks were mostly waiting in line to purchase books or have their books signed. I received the full attention of the Bistro staff.

But, having been served 'day old' bakery at full price more than once, as if these are premium items, is a bit distressing bc it erodes trust. That I will now have to ask whether or not what we want to eat is 'fresh baked' lessens the relationships we build as consumers. Consumer loyalty is earned not just from service, but trust built from expectation the cash we're spending is for something of equal value. Lately, that measure of standard has not been met which is sad, considering this is such a cool little Cafe at which to enjoy one of the #SweetLemonKitchen's famous #CinnamonRolls, #FruitScones, &/or #ChickenSalad sandwiches. Losing $13-22 per person per visit isn't good business, & hope you will make the decision to rectify this in the future: If you're going to sell 'day old' bakery, then give the consumer the option to pay 'half price' for the old item or full price for 'fresh baked'... which would be equitable & ensure trustworthiness, #imho ;)
