We had been looking for three chandeliers for some time. We had been to many lighting stores, but somehow could never find something that was just right. Then we went to Lamps Plus. They had a huge selection to choose from. However, sometimes having a large selection is not helpful because there is just too much to see. We got lucky in that Jason Dybas came by to help us out. He spent a lot of time with us and was incredible in terms of steering us to fixtures that were in our taste and our price range. He also arranged for the installation. Rob Stigall was our installer. He came on time (in fact he came early but called to make sure it was OK). He was very professional and very pleasant to work with. He even gave us help in deciding how high the chandeliers should be hung in each location. Great job! Next time we need lighting or fans, Lamps Plus will be our first stop. read more

I wanted to return a desk lamp because the LED chip had failed. It was suppose to last approx. 35,000 hours. I figured I'd had the lamp for about a year and that it would be covered - but it was longer than that, closer to two years. When I brought it in, the manager, Robert, went beyond the call of duty, he worked with me to get a replacement - there had been a model II upgrade. He gave me a very generous return and I paid about $35 out of pocket for a $130 tiffany desk lamp. I couldn't be more impressed with the service and grateful for this manager and his store. Good Service INSANE PRICES Their staff was very attentive and they had a good selection, but their prices are absolutely outrageous. I would have bought some items but they would not budge on price. I searched on Ebay and the fixtures they sell for $400 sell on Ebay for $80-$100. They even had a fixture I saw at Home Depot this morning and wanted $99 that HD was selling for $35. Just too overpriced. But staff was nice, helpful, and no pushy car salesmen tactics. Big selection too. If you can afford the prices and need something quick I would recommend. read more

I recently purchased a beautiful chandelier from Lamps Plus. I paid full price for it. Several days later it went on sale. The store manager, Mr Fritz , credited my account with the difference in price. Lamps Plus has a 60 day policy! I ordered 4 pricy light bulbs that came from the Chatsworth California internet depot that arrived July 2nd that go on a picture frame to light up a picture. I was told that they were long life? Everyone standing around talking to one another. No one welcomes you I don't know why there is a chime not the door. The chime is more welcoming than the employees. There was another one available at a store in North Hollywood which the associates called and helped us prices match and schedule the shipping. Went to Lamps Plus in Henderson, NV looking for multiple lighting fixtures for our home that we are remodeling. We were greeted by a smiling Angela Baldrige. We started with a ceiling fan that we needed for the main bedroom and worked our way through the list of other items that we were looking for. She was amazing! We showed her pictures of the living spaces we needed help with, furniture and colors. She listened to what we were looking for and made some great recommendations based on function and style. When going into a store like Lamps Plus (at least for us) it is a bit overwhelming all the choices and what to look for. She helped us find things we probably wouldn't have seen or found on our own. Even found a nice water feature for our front entry! So happy to have had the chance opportunity to have had her as our design consultant. She spent nearly two hours helping us making our selections. Today I had 6 ceiling fans installed in my new home by Robert S. of Lamps Plus. It was singularly the best vendor installation I've had in the year since the house was built. Robert was extremely courteous, very efficient and fastidious; without asking he slipped on blue booties once inside and used his own drop cloth to catch debris. He also answered my plethora of questions about direction of blades, offered best method for operating the fans to prolong the motor life, and so forth. His customer service was beyond expectation. We stumbled in here out and about and ended up purchasing a new hanging light for our kitchen. The selection was a bit overwhelming and we had to walk through a few times to take it all in. I've never seen such a collection in one place from mild to over the top wild. We got a lamp that was marked down to being a floor model. They packed it nice and gave us a new bulb for it free. We bought bar stools from them a year and a half ago, They were $700 - $250 each - so I thought I was buying good quality. Now, two out of the three are broken. I told my neighbors about the stools also, they bought them, and theirs are broken, too. Obviously very poor quality and not some fluke!! Lamps Plus will not do anything for me because they were bought over a year ago. I think $250 is way too much money to spend on a stool that only lasts 18 months. I have more to say on their practices as far as their sales and honoring prices. Bottom line, I would not recommend this store. Spend your hard-earned money somewhere else!! read more

My mom needed a lamp shade and a special light bulb for her outside lights, so we stopped in. First, the service was great. We worked with a wonderful young man named James and he could not have been better. He really helped us out and even carried our stuff out to our car. I didn't realize that they had such great home items in addition to lighting - we will be back to shop more. Howard, the store manager at the Stephanie location was amazing. We called at 730 at night, knowing they closed at 8 and inquired about a specific type of Chandelier. He said they had 3 similar ones and gave us the skew numbers to look them up. He said if we came down, he would stay late so we could get the chandelier tonight since I had rented a 14 ft ladder already for installing and then uninstalling a defective light from another household store. Their slogan should be low quality at high prices. If I were writing this review a year ago it would have been much higher. But 2 light fixtures in the past couple months have broke. With the kitchen fixture I have to wedge a piece of plastic to keep the contact on the bulb. My dining room fixture only had a few threads and those stripped. That is now a few hundred dollars headed for the trash. Their designs are modern and look great but are cheaply made. I expect light fixtures to last several years. We asked if they could discount the sale further, and we were told that unless we spend over $1000 they wouldn't look at us. I went to Lamps Plus to seek help on ceiling fans attached to my vaulted ceiling. We bought this house and the fans were not operating. I met with Rick, who spent time researching the product and parts. He came to the house and did a thorough examination, then suggested I buy replacement remotes and receivers. With his help, we attempted to sync them,but needed to get the electricians from Lamps Plus in. The techs were true pros and speaking to George, I was given some maintenance tips. The visit was pricy, but very well worth the work and service. Also, the showroom is filled with a huge variety of lighting and the prices are very competitive, if not better than the local furniture stores. I highly recommend visiting this store before venturing to a furniture store for lighting needs. read more

I really loved all of the different options and very affordable prices on all of the items in the store. I thought we were going to have a good experience with purchasing from here, only to find out every item we wanted was not in stock. We were told everything we purchased was not available & would be ready in a month or so. We decided against a few of the purchased, only expecting one item now. It has been over a month so we went into the store last week for them to say it'll be shipped to the store today & they would call us once the item is in-- we have yet to hear from them.
