Walked in and it took 10 mins to get any sort of service. Walked into an empty building. Heard workers with no urgency to come help or even offer help. Customer service wasn't even that great when we finally got it. Get less lazy workers who'll actually help it's not that hard. Wouldn't give one star but I have to. I visited their showroom and purchased some lights. The showroom was nice, the people were courteous and knowledgeable, and the lights were OK. The prices were reasonable. The problem is that I'm getting email from them every day, sometimes twice in a day. They seem to think that a purchase gives them the right to spam customers. Came in looking for two hugger fans, which they ended up not having in stock. The store associate directed me to two fans that had a 12 inch hang from the ceiling, stating it would be fine in a room with 8 foot ceilings. After getting them home and installed it was immediately laughable that they thought this was a viable option. Was able to return them after a $100 "wire cutting" fee. Went in a few days before Labor Day . I was first greeted by a nice man named Corey. He asked what I was looking for and I stated I'm browsing . He then explained to me each area and what it contained and he respectively let me peruse. I appreciate when people can read one's posture of needing a lot of information or just being near if questions arise. The selection is vast as I tried how each lamp worked and the lighting it gave off . They have many types of lights from modern / contemporary, artistic and chandeliers! Due to it being near Labor Day they had selective lamps that were discounted down. So you can get a valuable lamp at a great price if you pay attention. I came back and Corey was there to assist carrying the lamp to my car. Great customer service even down to Justin ringing me up. read more

Spent the day lamp hunting for my sons dorm. From past experience with this chain it was worth a quick drive to check out their vast inventory. This particular store is two stories and has a decent amount of parking. The staff was friendly and unobtrusive. We're not local, but I wanted to say that this store has so many lighting options!! Looking for lighting at hardware stores is so uninspiring. Lamps Plus is the opposite! Walking through this store will get you excited to look for your new lighting. In addition to classic floor lamps, there were a lot of ceiling lights and track lights to choose from. Be sure to check out their website as well, extensive selection! We know there's a Los Angeles location as well, which had been recommended to us by our handyman. I found a beautiful chandelier in Lamps Plus' magazine that was sent to my home. I had the page torn out for months and went to the website. I wasn't keen on buying sight unseen and I requested to have the item sent to this store to view in person to make sure I liked the quality. I had also browsed about 1000 of their options online, but this was my favorite. Mitchell called me same day to let me know there was one already on the floor to view. My husband and I went a few hours later to see it. Mitchell was so helpful. We bought it and it got shipped in 2 days from their LA warehouse. I was very pleased with Lamps Plus. There was a large selection and ordering online was easy. The order was delivered the following day and I was so pleased with the quality and quick service that I ordered another. I broke 2 of the 3 globes on the second lamp and was expecting a hassle and a long wait. Instead while the globes were not in stock, they ordered them and delivered them to my door in 2 days. Furthermore, the lady in the store was extremely nice and helpful even though this was by no means a huge sale. I wish I knew her name but she was Mexican and interacted with my handyman who commented on how nice she was. Needed new lights for the house. I figured a place that's called "Lamps Plus" should be my first destination, to avoid going to the generic Home Depot route. I was wowed by the service here. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and asked if I wanted help right away. Emry was so so so helpful. Ask for her. She's just incredible. She has a lot of knowledge and she's happy to share what information she has. A great sales person. Lots of choices of outdoor lighting, ceiling fans, kitchen and bathroom lighting. If it's a light, they have it. Very reasonable prices, too. I feel like they have styles to suit every person. I'll be back to find more for the house. read more

Stopped in hoping to find a huge selection of floor lamps for my new home. I saw the sale signs and got excited however after walking through both floors I found nothing. The prices were a bit steep for floor lamp and I didn't find the style I like. It was a bit disappointing the selection was not as vast as I had thought. Nice items just not my taste. I was able to check in to get my free light bulb. They only had one left of the one I wanted so I left with one. But your suppose to get 2 free bulbs with check in. read more

Left Fan Diego after rude customer service and went to Lamps Plus on Morena. They were extremely helpful and had what I was looking for...dusk to dawn lights that Fan Diego didn't have. The two people that helped me were knowledgeable and very nice. Ronnie was so nice I was so happy that he changed my attitude completely! I bought a floor model that was on sale in hopes of making some changes to it. He also helped me with accessories for some other lighting needs I had. He carried the new fixture out to my car and I left a very happy customer. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend them. I am going back to buy two more fixtures. I don't know how long this store has been here, but I want to say I've been going here ever since I moved to San Diego more than 30 years ago. They are pretty centrally located and always have friendly, helpful staff. This time I was in because a bathroom light I had recently purchased just wasn't going to fit and we didn't realize this until we opened the package. I had purchased it online and it was very simple, but needed to do a return so I brought it directly to the store. I didn't have the receipt or anything but the box it came in. Fortunately, they only needed to look up my name and they had my purchasing history and found the light right away. I told her why I needed to return and within seconds she had processed a refund back to my account. Another gentleman helped me pick out another similar light that would work in the space we were going to hang it. Check out was a quick and easy as the return. I've bought ceiling fans, bathroom lighting, ceiling lights, floor lamps, and hanging lights from Lamps Plus and have been so happy with all of my lighting purchases and the customer service. The lights and fans are quality and long lasting. I'm sure I'll have other lighting needs in the future and whether I come into a Lamps Plus store or purchase online, I have no doubt I'll come back to them. read more

This review is for Ronnie at Lamps Plus on Morena Blvd. He is so outstanding with customer service. He helped me today, Saturday 3/6/21, with replacing the Wall Control for my Casa Vieja Fan I bought in 2019 that lost the programming with the fan. He actually took time to show me how to program the wall control. On top of that he was able to get the wall control approved for free for me since I bought the fan just 2 years ago. He really goes the extra mile. Very Kind! Unfortunately, with remodeling my electricity was off for 4 hours which is what caused the fan to lose the programming with the wall controller. I used to be a fan of Lamps Plus. However, a recent purchase has given me pause and caused me to take a hard look at their business practices. I will no longer purchase products from Lamps Plus. I've purchased thousands of dollars worth of outdoor lights at Lamps Plus. Although the quality of fixtures wasn't the best, it seemed much better than that big orange store. Prices could be high, but they were lower than the top brands, and their sales could really knock prices down. So, when it came time to purchase a couple of home fans, we decided to check out the Fans Plus sale. My spouse and I decided to purchase a couple of identical fans. The prices were under $200 and they came with a light kit and remote control. We knew it came with a remote because the sign attached to the fan description read: "Comes with an optional handheld remote!". Except it didn't. I realized that it didn't come with the remote after I finished installing one of the fans. No biggie, I can just drive over and get it. It was then that the manager informed me that it didn't actually come with a remote. We had misread the sign. According to the Fans Plus Manager, it didn't say that the fan came with a remote....it said that there was one available to purchase for an additional $55. "You see", he said, "it's an OPTIONAL remote. You can buy it if you want". I pointed out that he was engaging in deceptive advertising. "Oh no", he said; "corporate has us put those signs up all the time. You just didn't understand what it meant." Well, I may not have understood what they meant, but I sure know what it said. I returned the unopened fan and they offered to accept the fan that I had already installed. I didn't return that one because I didn't want to take it off the ceiling. Instead, I have resolved to protest Lamps Plus' deceptive practice by not purchasing from them any more. Yes, I'm sure it's an empty gesture, but I stand against them on principle. read more

My husband and I have been using Lamps Plus for our lighting needs for over a year. Last week we were just in there for bulbs. Desiree Parish was helping us. It took a long time to find exactly what we wanted but Desiree treated us as if we were buying an expensive fixture. After spending $2.14 we went home and we were back the next week to buy a floor lamp. Again Desiree spent approximately 45 minutes with us showing us different possibilities. We left saying we would be thinking about it. We never got the feeling that Desiree was upset that we hadn't made up our minds. Returned the following day, she spent more time with us and we found a lamp that wasn't even in the running.
