I was told my appointment was his first stop on the scheduled day but he never showed up. I called after he was more than an hour late. The woman that answered the phone said she'd call the electrician and get back to me. Twenty minutes later she called and said "he dropped the ball". Yes, he certainly did. It sure makes you wonder about the legitimacy of all of the 5-star reviews he has (mostly from Yelpers with only a few reviews).

At the time I purchased, Barbie had told me these lightbulbs were long lasting. I think 7 or 10 years, if memory serves me correctly. I took burned out bulb to the store and Barbie replaced it. Well, a second one burned out at the beginning of this year (2023). I tried to go up once (it's near my home) and found out store was closed. So, planned to return soon but life/ health issues prevented. 7/27/23: got there today, no Barbie. I explained to a woman at the desk re purchase and needed bulb. And I handed said woman the bulb. She was condescending. First words were: "Well, they (bulbs) don't last forever"! I said that I knew this and what Barbie had said about life of bulb. The woman then said, again in her same tone: "Well , Barbie was wrong". I was a bit perturbed and said to give me the bulb, that I'd go elsewhere to buy one. She mildly protested and said 'no, wait' but at this point, I did not want to do business with her.

I purchased several light fixtures from them, only to later find the exact same lights at Home Depot for one-third of the price. On top of that, about ten of the fixtures were missing a small bolt/nut that holds the shade in place. This makes changing a bulb extremely difficult. Only one fixture included the correct part, which is how I even realized the rest were missing. I searched every hardware store in town for this tiny 15-cent nut--no one carries it. When I contacted Wilson, they told me to reach out to Maxim, the manufacturer. Maxim then told me to contact Wilson because they were responsible for making it right. In the end, I was told I'd have to pay $10 per light fixture for each tiny nut--something that should cost pennies and should have been included in the first place. This is unacceptable customer service. After paying hundreds of dollars for fixtures, the least they could do is provide the missing parts. You would think a lighting store would carry basic hardware for the products they sell. Instead, for what they want to charge me for a few tiny nuts, I could buy several brand-new lights. Absolutely ridiculous. Would not recommend this place at all

The man - I will not use the term "gentleman", as he was not one - at the desk proceeded to make me feel very foolish for knowing nothing about the light and then gave instruction to me on how to best put my 3-year old in the car. The second time I had the pleasure of working with a lady who was light years removed from her coworker In terms of social skills, but who sent me home with the wrong wattage of bulb, despite having written the receipt correctly. It was silly of me not to have double checked after my first experience, I will admit, but nonetheless, I won't be back. Supporting local business is important, but I stop short of supporting poor customer service.
