From early on, management failed to be honest about how disruptive and long-term the construction would be, making it nearly impossible to work from home and costing me income and peace of mind. Our balcony was destroyed about a month into our lease, yet we were still charged full rent for something we could no longer use--and it's still not properly restored. Over time, our apartment developed serious mold problems. We found visible mold in bedrooms, closets, on our personal belongings, and even inside an air purifier. Many of our possessions were ruined, and I had to throw away thousands of dollars' worth of personal items. It's been heartbreaking to lose things you've worked hard for, especially when it feels completely preventable. We also raised concerns about potential asbestos exposure during construction, but management never gave clear answers or reassurance. Instead of taking responsibility, they brushed off our health concerns and avoided providing real information. When I asked for proper mold testing and accountability, the property manager (Tina) hung up on me and stopped responding to emails. Trying to get basic answers about our health, safety, and living conditions became exhausting and emotionally overwhelming. Eventually, management agreed to let us end our lease early--but only if we signed an agreement promising not to sue them or talk about what we went through. After months of stress, fear about our health, financial losses, and feeling ignored, that offer felt more like a way to silence us than to make things right. This experience has been awful and the lack of transparency, accountability, and basic respect had made things immensely worse. I would NOT recommend this property to anyone, especially people with health concerns, pets, kids, or anyone who values feeling safe and supported in their home.

They are friendly and professional and do a great job on anything they do. The grounds are beautiful. We are close to public transportation, movies and shopping... Any and every request is dealt with in a timely manner. We just had a taco Tuesday event by the pool and so many of the residents came. It was fun to meet new people and catch up with others. I feel blessed to be here! and Maria is a big reason for it!!!

In November 2024 a new management and leasing agent came on board - Riko and Jesus, then a new maintenance team Ismael and Oscar. Riko and Jesus came in and just took Haven to another level. This is the third management team I have experienced here and they have just blown me away. The first two teams were great, but Riko, Jesus, Ismael and Oscar..they are a dream team. Amazing community events with the biggest turnouts ever. Maintenance requests addressed immediately, Ismael is the best! I have made new life friends here this past year, the residents truly look out for each other. Best of all Haven continues to attract loving like minded people. I have so much gratitude for these 4 guys, and for Riko setting the tone with care and devotion at a level that is rarely seen unless you are the business owner. Recently (4 months) moved to LA and I am very pleased with MLofts so far:…read more General Building: Very clean, modern, simple but well maintained. Cleaning staff of what I can tell might be only 2 people do a great job of handling the occasional mess. Apartments: Well maintained, appliances are pretty good, but all compact versions as the rooms themselves are pretty small. Decent amount of cabinet space, and high ceilings so if you can make use of vertical storage, you should be in good shape. Floors are concrete so while they are easy to clean, they are also very cold. Not recommended for families due to size, but couples can make due and singles will be fine as long as you don't have a lot of stuff. Amenities: - Parking is limited to 1 space per apartment which would be one of the few drawbacks but some of the neighboring streets have free parking with only 1 day where you have to move the car for street cleaning. Streets in the area are also very safe seeming.. Building has electric car charging spots also. - Gym Equipment is relatively new, good quality and kept clean. Nothing too fancy, similar to a nice hotel. Would be nice to have 1 or 2 more items but definitely adequate for a relatively small apartment complex. Also, never busy and 24 hours (although be careful after hours as I believe the person directly above can hear the noise from the gym). Two large TV's for watching games etc. - Coffee Commissary: This place is great. While it's not part of MLofts, it is in the same building and is a good place to do work. - Pet Run: This is a secure walkway where you can walk your dog. A great idea in concept but I generally walk around the block to the grass. - Laundry: 1 washer/ 1 dryer on every floor. Seems like not enough but I've only occasionally run into a situation where I had to borrow another floor's. Laundry rooms are relatively clean (as far as laundry rooms go anyway). - Common gathering areas: Firepit, common area tables and penthouse grills are all well maintained. These areas don't seem to get much use. While they are nice to have, I think it's probably because it's a bit awkward to have a gathering or to hang out in the middle of the common where you are in view of basically everyone else that lives in the complex (unless you're into that sort of thing). The penthouse grill area is more private which is nice, but again, I've never seen a gathering up there. - Wifi in lobby/gym: This seems a little spotty, but there's general cell service in the area. Staff: Julie the Property Manager and Stephanie the Assistant Community Manager are definitely a huge plus for this place. Both of them are very responsive to concerns and will go out of their way to take care of issues. They have responded to all of our maintenance requests within 24 hours. They even move all of the packages into the locked office before they leave for the weekend and put them back out in front of your mailbox to minimize the chance of theft. Residents: Generally young professionals who keep to themselves, very dog friendly.

My experience was incredibly frustrating and, in my opinion, completely unacceptable. I paid two application fees, submitted the documentation requested, and made multiple attempts to get clarification when additional documentation was supposedly needed. The most offensive part of this experience was being told that I had altered my pay stubs. I completely dispute that accusation. I provided my documentation in good faith, and rather than being given a clear opportunity to address the issue, I was left trying to figure out what exactly they wanted from me. I was also told that my co-signer did not provide sufficient income documentation. I specifically asked what additional documentation we could provide to satisfy the requirements. Natalie then told me to complete a "tax transcript," yet there was no option available to me to provide or complete the document she was referring to. I did exactly what a reasonable applicant should do: I asked for clarification. I even emailed Alex on Friday specifically asking what was needed because I wanted to resolve the issue and provide whatever legitimate documentation was required. Despite my efforts, I feel that I was given the runaround after already paying two application fees and investing substantial time gathering documentation. The entire process left me feeling that my time and money were not respected. Being accused of submitting altered documents is especially serious, and I expect companies handling sensitive financial information to have clear, consistent, and professional procedures for verifying documentation and communicating with applicants. I have requested the return of my two application fees and the removal of my personal information and documentation from their system to the extent permitted by law. I have also requested an explanation of the allegation regarding my pay stubs and clarification regarding exactly what documentation was supposedly missing. At this point, I am reporting my experience involving Alex, Natalie, and Frost Chaddock to the appropriate local, state, and federal agencies for independent review. That is not the level of professionalism or transparency I expect when dealing with someone's personal and financial information.

He is truly the best manager I have ever had--kind, approachable, highly responsive, and consistently quick to resolve any issues. I really appreciate having a manager who is dependable and treats residents with respect. I have really enjoyed my time here. My unit is fantastic, especially with the spacious layout, large walk-in glass shower, generous walk-in closet, and in-unit washer and dryer. The building amenities--including the gym, game room, and the rooftop jacuzzi, barbecue, and patio area with great views--are also wonderful features. Additionally, I have lived in Culver City for over 20 years. It is a small, safe, and growing community. I especially enjoy being able to walk to the downtown area for the restaurants, shops, and park, as well as local spots like Big Sal's, a sandwich shop open until 3 a.m. It is a wonderful place to live. Overall, I have had a very positive experience living here, and I am especially grateful to have such a wonderful manager. Ellison truly stands out as one of the best managers I have ever had.

He was very responsive to any questions you might have and would also help with any work order requests if needed. Which another convenience that I liked with the building, is that the management company utilizes an online portal for work order submissions and to also manage any auto-payments, etc. My only comments would be that parking for guests can be a bit tricky, but welcome to LA! And the washing machines & driers only take quarters, which I think they are on the cusp of updating so that'd be good. Otherwise, it was a beloved place of mine and wish I could've stayed longer.

Building manager sends way too many passive aggressive emails, almost 30 emails in March 2020 alone, and every thing was our fault according to him. Building is shabby, walkways have termite damage, pool looks dirty and is not heated and gets very little sun. Chairs and patio furniture at the pool are also very old and dirty. Maintenance requests take multiple follow ups and then vendors only show up 50% of the time. Every season there is a stink bug infestation. Had to leave this awesome location after living there 8 years because I couldn't take it anymore. To be honest, the building manager Eliot was insufferable and he abuses the building email list to promote himself politically, his business ventures, and he would not shut up about starry internet (apparently they paid him to promote to the tenants). He even asked us during covid to if we would be interested in having a promotional in person gathering for starry internet. If you live in one of the lofts, prepare to boil in the loft all summer. The air conditioner barely makes a dent even when on full blast. I'd think twice before living here. Tenants hate Eliot and refer to his emails as "screamails." These other reviews don't seem legit, sorry to say. And, don't even get me started in the multiple break ins and theft in the building. You are guaranteed to have missing packages and your car has a high chance of getting its window smashed. Someone's motorcycle was even stolen. The security in this building is a joke. The only benefit is the building's location relative to downtown culver. Although, with the expo line expansion, traffic on the cross street is jammed up most weekdays during commuting times and street parking is an absolute nightmare. A while back someone committed suicide in the building and most recently a tenant was walking around the building maskless, pantless, saying that he was fighting the devil. That was the last straw for me. Just saying...

The apartment is extremely dog friendly, they offer free parking validations for your guests/visitors, and it's a very safe area with patrolling security guards.
