Lanai City Service welcomes you

This is the only gas station in town. It used to be where Dollar Car Rental was located, but they've shut down. (Never fear: Lanai Car Rental is basically across the street.) Inside the store it used to be a slightly run-down convenience store with a bit of this, a bit of that. The convenience store has been downsized to make way for a kitchen in back and hot food counter, with items made-to-order: Soups, salads, sandwiches. You can still get endless rotating hot dogs and the like (man those hot dogs always smell so good!)! The menu is large and there are daily specials (note that the specials may run out). I had trouble deciding. I like french dip sandwiches and was told they were good here. Theirs is a panini version, and yes, it was good. Fresh bread and generous on the meat. The panini press melted the cheese to delicious gooeyness. You can still get your sundries here. There's a large beverage section. There's a public restroom. And - it's accessible! No stairs or steps or barriers to deal with. Note though: The restroom door may not be wide enough for a wheelchair. They take credit cards. There are four picnic tables by the door. No umbrellas, though.

Stopped to get gas and a snack here and was actually surprised with how good the chicken club panini that I got here was. It took the staff a little bit of time to make it, but you can tell they used high-quality ingredients. It's a super small gas station with only 4 pumps, but it was pretty empty when we went so it wasn't bad at all. I've only stopped here once and I'm not too familiar with any other surrounding stations but I would definitely seek this place out again.

While catching my flight to Lanai with Mokulele Airlines, unfortunate there is no lounge or food businesses in Terminal #3 of the Daniel Inouye International Airport where you can get a hot cup of Joe. What do you do??? When I landed on Lanai, I caught a shuttle ride with Rabaca's Limo service to the Lanai Rental Car agency, just across the street from the rental car agency is a business called - "Lanai Plantation Store". Lanai Plantation Store is your typical convenience store where they sell simple grocery items, a few souvenirs, all types of drinks, gasoline, as well as them having a deli inside of the convenience store where they will make you hot fresh food to order. After getting my rental car, I just popped over next door to get a hot cup of Joe. Not the best cup of Joe that I ever had, but when you're on a remote island like Lanai, it's better than nothing. The price for a large cup of Joe was $1.85, which is very reasonable, considering that everything on Lanai is pretty expensive. Would I come back here for a cup of coffee? Sure, why not? I was so happy that a small local business was available to meet my needs, and thankfully for the easy access on a remote island.

We stopped by Richard's to grab a caffeinated beverage before starting our day exploring the island. I was impressed by this quaint little store that offered everything you need and a little more! If you shop the deals/sales it's pretty comparable to the mainland. Definitely stop by for your essentials when visiting lanai!

They've been in operation since 1946 and are located on Dole Square where many of the island's businesses are concentrated. They offer a variety of fresh produce, meat, seafood, and pantry items. They also have a selection of prepared foods, gourmet wine, a poke counter and sundries. I came for the snacks (of course) and settled on their spam musubi. I don't know what they put in their musubi, but that thing was DELICIOUS! The rice is seasoned along with the spam and both together are a homerun. My only regret was only getting one :( All in all, this is a good place to stop and stock up on snacks, drinks, and other items.
