Main Grocery Store in Lana'i We stopped by to grab some snacks at Richard's. Upon entry is where you will find the produce section, warm food, frozen food section and an impressive selection of fresh seafood at the poke station. Another section of the market are 5 or 6 aisles (I can't remember) of dried and canned good items. It wasn't as little as I thought. It was a good size grocery store inside that's fitting for the locals. Here I found the smallest spam musubi I've ever seen. A 1" square mini spam musubi wrapped individually and sold for $0.50/ea. LoL! It had no taste (to me) but thought they were cute! I grabbed a bag of Maui Onion potato chips (my favorite island chips) and hubby got a bag of pork rinds (chicharon). Prices here are a little more. There are two cashiers to serve you near the exit door. Review #2686

Located on Lanai they carry a lot of items some of the items are purchased from Costco and broken down to individual items. If you are looking for fresh meats and seafood they have a counter which you can order from. They also have pre wrapped meats, frozen seafood and a fresh produce department, they have desserts, bread, can goods and liquor. They carry more variety here if you are looking for a specific item you would have a better chance starting here. Parking across at Dole Park and some along the front of the store. Hand sanitizer and wagons before you enter the market.

Whoa Bruddah! Did you see da poke bowl I wen' pick up????? Da buggah was "Broke Da Moufth Ono!!!!!" I was on Lanai two weeks ago, and Bruddah Fran will have to update his review of this place called - Richards Market in Lanai City and show Richard Market some ALOHA. I've stopped by Richards Market a few times, mainly to pick up something to drink...........but my most recent visit I had to buy a can of WD40 as I was doing something at the Bank of Hawaii, and lucky for me this little supermarket was just next door to the bank, which made it very convenient for me. After I finished work, I made it appoint to go back to Richards Market to give their poke bowl a try, and I must tell you folks that Richards Market did not disappoint! The poke selection here is not extensive like what you would see at Foodland or Tamura's, but for what little selection they did have, the poke was fresh, and broke da moufth ono! When I walked to the back of the store to the seafood section, I was greeted by a clerk who built my poke bowl. Richards Market offered (3), or should I saw it da local way..........."dey' wen' offer tree size poke bowls". I wasn't sure about the poke bowl portions, so I asked the clerk if he could show me the container sizes, and upon sizing up the portions, I ended up getting a medium sized poke bowl with Spicy Furikake Poke, & Spicy Taco Poke with Brown Rice. The fish & taco were all so fresh, and marinaded perfectly. They did not charge extra for the Brown Rice (which was a nice thing), and the thing that seal da deal............da poke bowl was just ($9.49)! Can we say DEALAGES Yo!!!! If you folks ever find yourself on Lanai..........no shame now, stop by Richards Market for some onolicious poke bowls! Garans no can go wrong!!!

A great find on the small Island of Lanai, we got a few pounds of poke for $20-25 to eat for lunch and it was truly amazing. They also have a lot of baked goods to choose from and taro/ube products. I found that things were pricier here compared to Maui, but it's understandable because everything has to be shipped over.

Great customer service and friendly workers. Stopped in to Richard's for everything from groceries to fresh poke. We ordered a bunch of poke, fresh roast chicken, and rice and ate family style. Everything was ono! The poke was fresh and had great flavor. The roast chicken was perfectly cooked. Would recommend stopping at Richard's...it's a one stop shop.

the only grocery store to get you everything you need on lanai. though the poke is previously frozen, the marinade for each overall was good. they have some good snacks that you can quickly grab before heading out to the beach too!

Today stopped for lunch. Tried for the first time their poke bowl. I got the small Polihua poke. Ahi with avo, sea asparagus seasoned with salt a little chili pepper water and inamona. Winner winner ahi dinner. While the rest of the poke selections looked good, this one hit the spot today.

This market is a wonderful stop when you need to stock up on snacks and beverages while you stay on the island! Not only is it super clean, they've got most of the essentials you'll need. They are also known for their desserts and though we didn't try the cakes I will say the brownie bites are out of this world! I ate it in one sitting without realizing it! Must try

The shop sells mostly liquor, but upon entering and making a left turn, you will encounter the poke station. I grabbed a 1/4 pound of the spicy ahi and then bought a bag of the Maui onion chips to go along with it. The poke is $26 per pound and you can get it in 1/4,1/2, pound serving sizes, which is quite nice. They also had bowls that you could get that came with rice, but I really wanted to try the poke with the onion chips. The fish is really fresh here and I was super happy to find The person working at the counter was very nice and patient as we were deciding what we wanted to get. I highly recommend stopping by here for poke. While you're at it, you can also go grab some Maui pie after eating here.

This review is for the poke experience and service we had back in April 2026…read more I have been super excited to try Tamura's again since I haven't been back in 5 years and had a great experience with their poke last time. I especially remember their sunset poke and how good it was, so I knew I had to try it again when I came back. My husband and I arrive a little past noon and waited a little behind a group of young adults. It took a while since it was only 1 person assisting 4 people, until another man arrived to help us. I ordered the sunset poke, and my husband got the shoyu yellowtail. After receiving our fish, we lined up behind the group earlier to pay. As they were leaving, I noticed they were given sets of forks and chopsticks from the cashier. When it was our turn to pay, the cashier didn't say anything, and we had to ask for a fork to eat the poke (which we didn't mind asking). But she gave us attitude, turned around to grab the utensil and handed it to us without saying a word. We waited a little since we wanted to make sure the payment was completed, but she just stared at us and finally said "you're good" when we stood there awkwardly. When we got to the car, we realized the forks she gave were broken and missing some tines. My sunset poke was a little underwhelming for mine. Maybe it was the scoop I got, but the fish had so much tough muscle fibers that I actually had to spit some out since it was so hard to bite through. The sauce was so good though, so it was a bit disappointing from the past memory I had with how buttery the fish was. My husband's shoyu yellowtail was delicious though. It melted in the mouth and really emphasized the sweetness and freshness of the fish. I actually ate it with the sunset sauce, and it paired so well with it too. Overall, the poke is still good and maybe I got a bad scoop, but Tamura's was a lot better in my memories. I would still come back next time I visit but hope for a better experience, since they do have delicious sauce and fish.

I don't mind the drive from Halawa to Kapolei as it's going against traffic making it easier and faster than town destinations. Making my schedule to hit the furthest Costco Gas first. Located in the middle of the store is the R Field Wine Company section. Ordered two pounds of their imported Mortadella (excellent) for Italian sandwiches my son wanted to replicate after his most recent trip to Rome along with some sliced cheese. Since this visit was before Christmas I made a number of stocking stuffer purchases of Manoa Honey, Lingonberry jam, some wonderful goat cheeses and my favorite St Angel French soft cheese along with three bags of fresh Lavosh. Mmmmmm *these* are just a few of my favorite things!! After 11 years in Italy, when I returned to my native Hawai'i it was a bit of a bummer to not be able to relive and share certain foods that became daily dish staples for me. I would boast about this cured meat and THAT parmiggiano and creamy burrata mozzarella... But they were just memories of the past. Hawai'i is my home and i would never move back to Europe but just part of the palate was missing it... Until we stumbled upon R. Field Wine. Tears... ugly, slobbery tears that ruin your makeup. I cried them. But out of joy. Pure joy. You want Italian staples? You can find them here. There are several locations, all found inside or next to Foodland, but the ones I frequent most are Kailua, Ala Moana and Kapolei. All the greatest cured meats I could find in Italy, I can now find at R. Field Wine. Not even kidding. My favorite prosciutto is San Daniele (they tend to butcher the name- but they have it- so I'll take it) and my favorite type of mozzarella is burrata (a little pricey but worth every penny). If you are making a charcuterie/ grazing board to impress, the following are my go-to's from this awesome gem of a place. They give samples if you are unsure about the meat. -Prosciutto San Daniele (the smaller the round, the sweeter-- I like mine salty- so I always ask to see the cut first... **when curing, they hang the meat from smaller end- so all salt and seasoning runs down to bigger part**) -Prosciutto di Parma (the real deal, not that pre-packaged smelly cardboard- same rule as above, the smaller the round, the sweeter- the longer- the saltier) -Speck (if you find scamorza cheese, roll it up in the speck and pan-fry... ooohh!! Amazing!! They're called "uccelletti" or "little birds") -Bresaola (bray-ZA-OH-LA) this is the leanest cured meat you will find. In Italy it is common to find this smoky delicacy in horse meat but the imported one is usually beef. Sprinkle with lemon and olive oil for a model's meal. They eat this when dieting. If you want to make it more exciting, eat it with mozzarella to cut the salt. -Burrata- the creaminess of this mozzarella is unparalleled... doesn't slice well but on pizza or raw with prosciutto or tomatoes is divine. -Pate- they have black truffle duck pate and goose pate- they are amazing- just depends if you like truffle or not! Try them! Cambozola- is like a creamy gorgonzola that is less sharp but melts beautifully on warm crusty bread! Note: not for non-blue cheese lovers. The brave only! Savoiardi- what I use to make tiramisu. Don't forget the mascarpone in the fridge section! R. Field also is home to many wines and liqueurs (as the name suggests) and quality local products like my favorite kauai cocoa for tiramisu, chocolate, coffee and honey. Hope this was helpful! You can't go wrong with any of their salumi! I promise!
