Amazing place! The desserts are fantastic! Unfortunately, I took a picture just of one stand with desserts but they have more and different kinds. I was impressed by the incredible variety they offer! The quality of desserts is also wonderful and delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and nice. The staff were friendly and nice, happy to guide me through their extensive menu and offer recommendations. Can't wait to come back there again!

Hmm... my budget tracker tells me I've been here 3x in 2 weeks! Maybe not the best plan for my waistline, but I couldn't help it! Each day, there's 15ish mini pastries to choose from ranging from $1.79-$1.99. They're the perfect size to have a taste of everything. Fancy individual cakes and pastries are $5-6 and perfect for celebrating a Happy Every Day! Outside of this, there's various 6-8" case cakes, cookies including macarons, and a few bar options. Espresso drinks are also available, but they don't do it iced. Lately, I've enjoyed the mini blueberry lavender pastry, pistachio apricot pastry, and almond marzipan mini. The coconut chocolate individual cake was so appealing to the eyes, but most of the flavor of the sweet was a coconut mousse and lacking a bit in cake layer. My oldest toddler inhales their macarons, and usually she doesn't eat much unless you stuff it in her mouth. I ordered an 8" pistachio strawberry torte from here also. It's dome shaped and decorated with macarons on the outside. The girl at the front could've done a better job with a greeting upon my entrance, and when she couldn't hear what I said, she mumbled a careless "huh?" Also, considering I spent almost $50 on a cake, it would've been nice to receive a macaron that looked a little better, but the staling blueberry one I got was drastically mismatched as far as size of the top and bottom cookie. No wonder she gave that one to me... she grabbed it from the back, as the display case was still being set up, and I couldn't see what she had put into the box. Anyway, the decorating on the dome torte was creative and lovely! I was expecting way more ratio of almond cake layers to pistachio mousse, since the majority of your cake slice will end up being mousse. The strawberry compote layer in the middle and the crunch added inside the cake was a nice touch. Plan to be back at some point for sure!

Passion Fruit Mousse

Passion Fruit Mousse... Thank you for a great experience for our 2nd year Anniversary. @lanas.dazzling.desserts My Wife and I enjoyed it. Thank you...

I found Lana's Dazzling Desserts from Yelp a few years ago, I ordered a Mango Mousse Cake for a family birthday party, it was a big hit, even my mom who is picky with cakes loved it! Lana's has become our favorite bakery since then! Their cakes are consistently good, both esthetically and taste wide. The decorations are elegant and beautiful, and the cakes are not extremely sweet. The ratio is more mousse and less cake, if you like mousse, their cakes are for you! Actually, if you go to their "Cakes and Tortes" menu on their website, just click on any cake picture, and it will show you a cut piece of that cake! So, you know exactly what are inside the cakes. Other than the Mango Mousse Cake, our other favorite is the Pistachio Strawberry Torte, which sometimes comes in sphere shape that is more fun looking. I also like the Triple Chocolate Cake which is very creamy and rich, and is definitely ideal for the chocolate-lovers! I used to order cakes for our special days, now as we are only having cakes for our immediate family during the Pandemic, I would just go there to pick one. There are so many good choices available that it is not hard to find one to purchase! For now, the 6" and 8" cakes at the store are $30 and $50 each respectively. I also love to buy their individual pastries for my mom when I go to visit her, and she just loves them! The staff at Lana's are also pretty accommodating, and they handle the cakes and pastries with great care!

Again amazing cakes and deserts even during a global pandemic. I purchased the passion fruit cake, omg it is soooo beautiful and sooooo delicious. Tastes like a vacation on the beach with a drink in your hand. Got a mini of the chocolate raspberry, fabulous for chocolate lovers. Tried the pistachio and it was a five star. Also purchased one of the mini mangoes it was so light and tropical loved it

My favorite bakery. Cakes and pastries are not only beautiful but delicious as well. Or go to for special occasions and weekend treats.

Consistently beautiful and carefully crafted cake and desserts. I love that they have a cute champagne bottle candle for birthday cakes. They have incorporated passion fruit, mango, coconut, and all sorts of fruit in their baking. Each layer is meticulously designed and packed with flavor. Small cupcake sizes are $6. Larger cakes are ~$30, and serves 8-12 persons. They have sit down area for dining in. Apparently they expanded the area to the space adjacent to it last year!

I ordered a cake for my moms 65th birthday. I have Lana few inspired pictures and she nailed it! The cake looked amazing and it was soooo delicious. Will order again for sure!

Excellent meal after a long day flying into Chicago for my Uncles 100 th birthday celebration!…read moreOur hotel was in Glenview and lucky for us this restaurant is right across the parking lot! My sister and I went over for a late supper and sat on the patio as the weather was pretty nice for April. They have a great menu so after ordering a cocktail we settled on salads and started with some chips and guacamole. Well let me tell you the appetizer could've been dinner! It was a huge portion and the guac was so fresh and good! We put a small dent in it before our salads arrived. Can you say to go boxes! Not disappointed with the salads either! I had a nice Cesar salad with grilled chicken and my sister had a salad with sweet potato and brussel sprouts, both very good! Our waitress kept checking on us and we actually closed them down since we came late and closing was at ten but they didn't rush us! If you're ever in Glenview Illinois check them out!

We went for my grandma's birthday recently and our server made her feel so special. She also got a birthday dessert which made her day. Great for any occasion! I got the char chicken pita which was very good and large enough that I got to take home half and have another full meal for leftovers.

There's a kind of "night out" vibe here, even if you're just grabbing dinner on a random weeknight. The menu is creative, with specialty rolls and fusion-style dishes that feel a little more elevated than your standard lineup. When it's on, it's really on. Service is iffy to be honest. Staff is attentive and knowledgeable, and the whole experience feels polished. Drinks are well-crafted, and the patio (when open) adds a whole extra layer to the experience. That said, this is where the missing fifth star lives. Shakou can be a little inconsistent. Some visits feel like a five-star experience, others land closer to "really good, but not unforgettable." A few dishes might lean a bit too sweet or not quite balance the flavors, and during busier times, things can feel a little rushed or loud. But even with that, it's still an easy recommendation. This is a great spot when you want sushi that feels a little more upscale without going full fine dining. It's stylish, flavorful, and usually delivers a really solid experience. Four stars, comfortably... with just enough flashes of brilliance to make you keep coming back!

We had to stand in the lobby for 5 minutes without much information, while other groups who came in without a reservation after us were seated before us. Furthermore, the reservation was for the "Patio" and while technically we were seated on the "Patio", I would say it was the bottom rung of the patio. Sat at the first table outside the restaurant, underneath the awning with a bird's nest overhead chirping the entire time. Essentially in my opinion, when you make a reservation somewhere, you don't really expect to be seated in probably the worst location they have to offer. Food was pretty decent. We had two bowls basically. Both were okay, like any Sushi style restaurant, prices were a bit high, especially considering their location in the heart of the AH downtown. I would come again, but for a first try it wasn't anything special for sure.
