I realize they're in the process of a renovation, but we brought out-of-town guests with us on Sat. 1/28/23 and were disappointed that the ventilation was not as good as it has been in the past. Granted, it was busy, but the scent and smoke was overwhelming. Further, our bartender could have been more attentive. 071418 First time here. My brother and I enjoyed the nice selection of cigars in the walk-in humidor. The bar is nicely decorated & styled. Sitting areas that appeared cozy. We sat at the bar. We always use Yelp when we are traveling and we once again, we were not let down for a cigar bar! Little tough to find if you're driving, easy to find on foot. Great little bar with a good selection of scotch and whiskey! You can sit at the bar itself or move to one of the many leather chairs in the seating area. The humidor is small (and locked), but they have a decent selection of cigars to choose from! The bartender assisted us and offered to cut the cigars. The bartender is also a very good pour! There are televisions with various sporting events on and blues playing in the background. This is a nice quiet pub and honestly for being a cigar bar, does not smell strongly of smoke. Visited first time, Black Friday 2019. Had to park blocks away, downtown shut down for some festival. Thriving bar next door, tap room, was very crowded, this place looked not busy by comparison. Thought we might be greeted, but no. Walked in, no employees approached us nor made eye contact. I took initiative, headed to the humidor. It was clean, neat, but not thousands of sticks in boxes to choose from like most places. Like 5 cigars of each type laid out. Bought a Padron, $9, a bit high. Now they don't light it for you, or even offer you matches, but if you ASK, they will give you a pack. Some vendor was set up with a table, looked like expensive cigars, and some bourbon to sample. He never spoke to us. We were celebrating a birthday, and carrying plenty of cash, dressed well, etc. too bad, he lost a sale. had to go to the bar to order a drink, was about 5:30 pm on a Friday, and apparently that was too early for servers to start, as stated by the bartender. Started to order a beer and martini, but I said no, just 2 martinis, with a twist if you have it. Maybe 10 people at the bar, 2 bartenders. Took almost 10 min to have drinks made. Served with olives. A dry martini is pretty simple, cold vodka (no vermouth) in a glass with an orange or lemon peel. Maybe I should have ordered it that way. A beer was put down on the bar, too. I paid $22 and went to have our martini's and smoke my Padron. We were not having a good time, never felt welcomed like in most cigar lounges around the country. $9 for a well vodka martini seemed a bit high, too. Once I saw that they billed me for the beer too, I went back up to the bar and collected it, drank it. Figured it wasn't worth fighting the charge. They knew what they were doing, I cancelled the beer before he even went to put the order in the computer. Old bartender trick. We didn't even look at the menu, hurried and left. I had a Cuban cigar with me, decided to enjoy it elsewhere. Headed to Harrisburg through traffic snarl. Can't see myself returning, it's hard to get to, parking, no real service, no good deals, too many other good options east and west of here. We're not rude nor fancy people, but we have self respect, and are happy to spend our money where we feel, y'know, a little bit valued. read more

The LCB has a walk-in, Covid-free (masks and supervision only) humidor that contains some of the finest selections of Drew Estate cigar brands. If you're not so familiar with the brand-name ask for a No. 9 and you're set for life to hopefully never encounter anything worse. This is better than Arturo Fuente in my opinion. And while their selection is somewhat narrower than I am accustomed, I did find the service and arena to be very friendly and professional enough to relax into business or pleasure modalities. I believe the many guests I have invited over have enjoyed their time tremendously well. So if you are looking for a great neighborly cigar spot close to home? come and check this place out. This is a dangerous place to hang out, and the service is completely atrocious as well. Got there at 10 pm, 45 minutes before last call, and placed an order for 4 drinks (two amaretto sour's for my girlfriend and two shots of whiskey for me). We wait 45 minutes, while other people around us are being served, and finally my girlfriend gets her drinks at 10:45. I ask where my drinks are and the server says she took them off my bill, i'm thinking she comped me for waiting so long but no, it's past last call (even though last call in PA is 11 PM, not 10:45 PM) and she tells me she can't bring them to me at all (even though I ordered them 45 minutes earlier). We go up to the owner to complain who stands there and repeats "have a nice night" over and over with no concern whatsoever. We ask our server what the owners name is (Danny Falcon) and in minutes he storms over to us extremely aggressively and asks us to leave (before our cigar is done or my GF's drinks are done). He tells us our bill is taken care of. We continue to express our concerns and ask why it would take 45 minutes to get a shot of whiskey, but he obviously doesn't care and at this point I'm concerned he may get physical with me. He blames it on the server. I walk up to the bar, pay the bill for the drinks we did get, and tip the server $20, right in front of the pompous owner. Never again will we set foot in there, and I suggest you don't as well. Oh, and both the owner and the other server who spoke with us after this incident were NOT wearing masks. So while he was so concerned with PA laws about last call, he obviously didn't give a damn about The PA mask requirement! read more

The Lancaster Cigar Bar is the only 5 star cigar bar in the area! Perfectly in keeping with Lancaster, Pennsylvania's surging affluence and upscale style, but not pretentious in anyway. Comfortably furnished and with a reasonably priced well stocked humidor! This is a cigar bar with several options: you can sit outside and see the scene, you can sit at the window bar and look out upon the street, you could sit at the bar and come frequently enough where everyone knows your name, or you can grab a seat and sit either with company or alone to enjoy your cigar in peace! I personally feel that it is a better place for men to hang since it was filled with men smoking cigars, watching sports and drinking when I went. The only reason I give it a 3 is because it was pretty pricy. For only 10 wings it was $8.00...no celery and only a little bit a ranch. And I'm sorry but they weren't that good. The fries are very good though. I didn't try anything else because the plates were about $14-$15 but the menu was good. So, I have been here twice. The first time with friends after hopping around town on First Friday hitting the various establishments, shortly after they'd opened. The second? On my birthday - by myself - after some friends had gone home and left me to my own devices. Let's concentrate on the second visit. After securing a nice selection from their walk-in humidor, I planted myself at the bar announcing that it was my birthday. Instead of the opprobrium often reserved for the obnoxious single guy, I was actually offered a nice "birthday present" which included an increase of my paid-for 15-year-old single order of single-malt Scotch to a double. Nice! Much appreciated. Then, they clipped my cigar and I fired-up. This is a beautiful bar, surprisingly not too smokey, and a very friendly staff that aims to please. Overall, I enjoyed this place as a nice addition to downtown and immediately next door to the Spring House Taproom and Market, and for those interested in a slightly more Latin experience than offered in a higher-end place in Lancaster. I really enjoyed the ambiance, although I didn't sample the food menu, and appreciated the concern of the staff in my ability to safely commandeer myself home after an exuberant birthday celebration. Do not go here. This place is run by a bunch of ill-mannered and irresponsible children. Very unprofessional and they don't know what they're doing. I hadn't had a cigar in a while, so I figured that I'd run in to get one. Mid-way through the cigar, a cocktail waitress came over and asked if we wanted cocktails and I told her, "No, the woman who sold me the cigar told me I could sit down and just smoke a cigar here." She then demands to see my ID and the other person in my party's ID, even though another one of the waitresses had told us to sit down and enjoy the cigar. The other person in my party was visiting from overseas and did not have an ID. - To make a long story short, I refused to leave since they had already sold me the cigar and told me sit down. I told them that I'd extinguish the cigar and leave if they give me a brand new one. The manager tried to 'reason' with me to leave - even though I was already smoking - and, as he was giving me a headache when I only wanted to sit down and enjoy a cigar - refusing to give me a new cigar and send me on my way -, he thought it appropriate to grab the cigar out of my mouth and extinguish it in the ash tray on the table. He was trying to put on a show for the cocktail waitresses, I think, and tried to kick us out with some fanfare. But I told him if he didn't give me a new cigar, I needed his owner's information so I could speak to him. He then begrudgingly gave me a new cigar and, as I was on my way out, he started to say some nonsense, such as "never come here again" (as if I'd ever dream of it). As I was finally leaving, he rushed after me and my guest threateningly, clearly threatening us with physical contact. Comically bad experience. I'd recommend that no one go to this clownish place and the next time I go to Lancaster, I'll be looking forward to seeing this place boarded up. read more

We had made reservations at the Belvedere Inn and ended up canceling because we fell in love with this place. The owner is hands on and helped us with the cigar choice and checked in with us continuously throughout the evening.
