Love Love It here! We always make a stop When in Lancaster. However we were recently disappointed the nachos changed. They were legendary with syrup and blue cheese and now they are just ordinary. Shot and Bottle was a busy place and I understand why! The food is delicious and there are plenty of tasty options. I'm not a huge brunch person, but the brunch menu was amazing! The eggs were so soft and the jam was the perfect touch to my short rib toast. The four of us enjoyed our meals and the serving sizes were ideal for us. We also enjoyed the various drink options, and I was glad they had flavorful mocktails to pick from. However, it can get pretty loud in the restaurant despite the tables being spaced out evenly. Amazing service. Our server was helpful in splitting my groups check, even though the menu indicated that was a no-no. I always appreciate when a restaurant accommodates a large group. I got the cheesesteak and fries. The fries were tasty and the cheesesteak was enough for me to save a portion for lunch the next day. The portions were huge and all of my group enjoyed their meals, including the super light and fluffy donuts for dessert. Their Peach Plane cocktail was especially delicious and I would recommend going for that alone! I love this restaurant's space! It's light and airy, especially around sunset. On this hot steamy day we stopped in for a few cold ones! We were immediately greeted and seated. We ordered joosey juicy and pipe dream. I'm not a beer drinker unless it's above 100*. We got a sample of corazon but I just didn't get the advertised lime flavor. It tasted like a light miller. Our food came looking so delicious! Steak Frites was creamy cheesy fries with perfectly sliced steak over with a delicious reduction. Will definitely come back just for this dish. My husband said the turkey sandwich he got was pretty good, his fries were very good. My shrimp flatbread was awful. It wasn't even warm- the cheese wasn't melted on most of it. Didn't eat much of it but the waitress didn't comment when she came to pick it up and only one little square missing. She didn't check in once we got the food either. Disappointing Experience at Shot and Bottle I had a truly frustrating experience at Shot and Bottle on Saturday 4/11. I was attempting to collect donations for a very important cause--Saint Baldrick's Day, and the Saint Baldrick's Foundation which raises money for childhood cancer research. The event was taking place at Annie Bailey's Irish Pub, just down the street, and I was hoping to get a few donations from patrons at Shot and Bottle as well. This event, and the Foundation, is not new, I have been apart of it since 2013, and most people, and businesses, know who we are. Initially, the hostess seemed fine with it, telling me it was okay to approach customers for donations. However, things took a completely unexpected turn when I was rudely asked to leave, not even getting a chance to speak with the manager. I was simply trying to do something good for an important charity, and instead of support, I was treated poorly. The lack of consideration for a good cause left a really bad impression of this place. Every other establishment I went to, Tellus360, South County, The Taproom, The Dispensing Company, were welcoming, supportive, and appreciative of what I was trying to do. If you value supporting local charities or simply want a positive experience, I suggest looking elsewhere. read more

This is a cute place, super busy, super loud. It was very hard to talk with my friend because it was so noisey and so compact inside. I got a mimosa which was $14, crazy price. I got the chicken salad sandwich with caesar salad which was very delicious. The salad was yummy, even though the lettuce was extremely floppy and wilted. I loved the excess amount of dressing. The sandwich was yummy and had the perfect amount of chicken salad on it. The bread was top notch. Service was attentive and consistent. The down sides, this place is very expensive. A mimosa and my meal was over $30. My friend made multiple comments how this place needs to be bigger because it's too small inside and overwhelming and so extremely loud. My legs had to be touching my friend just to get close enough to hear. The location is good, lots of other shops near, but absolutely no parking. read more

This would not have been my first choice but the menu was limited because we arrived between brunch and lunch. The cheddar biscuits were a nice touch to biscuits and gravy. Service was average which I think was more a product if arriving between the shifts. Since the shift change seems to be quite challenging, I'd recommend closing for 30 minutes to switch over. It would make a better customer experience. The restaurant is open, airy and modern. There is ample outdoor dining as well. The grapefruit crush was refreshing and delicious: Penn Square Vodka, fresh squeezed orange or grapefruit juice and a splash of sprite. Yes, it's a nice place and the decor modern. It gets super busy, especially for Saturday brunch, and that's when were here last. We don't get to Lancaster often and this was the choice of our host that day. (You pay, you pick!) Pricey and small plates. I left hungry after eating the avocado toast and went to the market for a couple empanadas to fill up. Service was a bit slow but not unexpected as the restaurant was full and all tables outside were occupied as well. Shot and Bottle is great! It's in a busy and pretty part of town, the food and drinks were delicious, the inside of the place is beautiful, and our server was very kind. She gave us a free round of drinks and dessert to make up for long wait times on the food, despite the fact it wasn't an egregiously long wait. And once again, the food was all delicious when it arrived. We first started with the very tasty Snow Bird Mocktail. We got a Valentines Day Special appetizer, the Short Rib Toast, which was incredible and I'd love to see it on the main menu. After getting some complimentary zucchini bread with lemon-honey butter (amazing), we got our Cod Risotto and Sausage and Peperonata Rigatoni. For dessert we got the Valentines Day Special Chocolate and Tahini Mousse. Once again, everything was great. Would absolutely come back again! read more

I loved this place. We had a reservation, but upon arriving there were plenty of seats at the bar. Three of us chose to take a corner instead of a table. This is our preferred type of seating...service tends to be faster and friendlier. And it was. The food was delicious. Everything is source locally. Being in Lancaster, they have many farms to work with. I had the veal parm. I usually do not order this dish, but it just sounded so good with the angel hair pasta. So glad I did! I would normally take half of this size portion home for another meal, but I ate the whole thing. It was that good. I couldn't stop! Hubby had Braised Short Rib It was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. The adult beverage selection was interesting. All of the wine, beer and spirits are made in PA. An interesting twist on drinking "local". Although I can't rave about any of the choices we made, they were good enough and did not detract from the whole dinner experience. This is a phenomenal place for cocktails, but I'm not sure I loved the food. The pickle cocktail they have is sooo good, and the espresso martini was the best I have had anywhere. We ordered nachos and they were kind of disappointing as some of the chips seemed stale. The restaurant itself is really beautiful and bright, and the service from the bartender was top notch. I would come here again and try another dish to see if other food is better, and get a pickle martini. read more

My wife and I recently drove to Lancaster to take my daughter out for brunch in celebration of her birthday. I gave her the option to pick the restaurant. Out of the three she picked, Shot and Bottle was the only one we never tried, so we figured "let's do it". We arrived about 45 minutes early for our brunch reservation on a Saturday morning, but the hostess cheerfully found us a table. This is a popular spot in Lancaster, so the fact she could do this was nothing short of remarkable. I also commend her for not giving me the Northern Virginia speech of "well, you know...". We were seated next to a sunny window and our server was ready to help us. For our entrees, my wife and I devoured the Breakfast Bowl, which consists of potatoes, scallions, sausage gravy, two fried eggs and Sriracha aioli. The birthday girl decided upon the shrimp and eggs. This dish presents beautifully prepared Texas Gulf shrimp, scrambled eggs, and Hollandaise all heaped upon sourdough toast. Everything was wonderful, plentiful and made with local ingredients. The birthday girl was pleased with her selection! For an added treat before we left, we all shared a freshly baked "Mr Sticky's" homemade sticky bun to cap off our meal. Lordy...this might have been the best sticky bun I have ever eaten. It was still warm from the oven and full of cinnamon, yeasty dough and everything that makes a sticky bun. My hat is off to Mr. Sticky. He knows what he is doing. The best part of ending brunch at Shot and Bottle is that is rests right next door to Lancaster's famous Central Market. After we finished the sticky bun and paid our bill, we spent time wandering through the market and picking up the last remnants of the summer harvest. There were still a few fresh tomatoes, kale and plenty of Pennsylvania apples! If you ever find yourself in Lancaster looking for a great local restaurant, I really can't recommend Shot and Bottle enough. The food, service and atmosphere is very comfortable and very Lancaster. There is a city parking garage right around the corner, so you have no excuse to pass this gem by. read more
