She then continued to LIFT UP THE GREASE PANEL AND GRAB POTATOS SOAKING IN GREASE. This is mildly frustrating and it was completely inedible. I was hungry for something not greasy fast food, and was drawn to the idea of snagging a deli sandwich while here. I did not expect the sheer incredible variety of food goods available here. Every aisle we browsed was like an exclamation of pointing and going "ooh!" I wanted to buy SO MUCH absolutely delicious looking stuff (especially the fruit-topped cheesecakes, pastries, and cookies... drool), as well as the various ingredients and spices and sauces and pickled veg. They had a huge pop-it-yourself popcorn selection, for example. Tons of pasta shapes. Even milk of many flavors in reusable glass (if only the world could go back to that sustainable model!). The worst part is, I only got a couple things, fully intending to stop again on our way back to Minnesota. But we left for home Sunday, when it wasn't open. It was a foolish error on my part indeed, one which I will likely never live down (until we come back out this way, and you can bet your ass I'll drop at least a hundo in here, maybe two!). The sandwich, which I did get, was quite large and I ate half then, half later. It was cool and yummy, and I appreciated the many options of bread and meats to choose from. I also grabbed a fancy bottled soda. All the employees were friendly and helpful. I'd probably shop here weekly if I lived nearby, so it's a real shame it's nearly nine hours away!

They actually know how to run their registers and don't treat customers like criminals.

I was with my youngest and made a purchase through the express checkout. One item was a box of chips (that was way overpriced). It was too big to put in a bag so I clicked on "skip bagging" and put it back in my cart, paid, and left. I even exchanged pleasantries with the manager/supervisor on duty. As I get to my car, a young employee comes up to me and says her manager wanted her to check and make sure I didn't walk out with two boxes. Seriously?! I kept my calm and showed the receipt and as she tried to look in my car I told her I haven't put anything in my car yet. I have NEVER given the employees there any reason to think I've stolen anything and I'm usually in there weekly. This is not the first time I have felt targeted but I tried to brush it off. Now I know it's clear that I am not wanted in the store due to my skin color. Do better Martins!
