I'll be the first one to admit that I typically buy all my games from Best Buy, online, or a local place. Sometimes there are certain things that you have to buy here. Recently I bought the Secret of Mana remaster and thanks to Gamestop I was able to get some pretty sweet DLC. Now granted DLC can kind of be aggrivating when it should already be in the game to begin with. This DLC was just extra costumes you get for pre ordering with Gamestop. I love that kind of DLC and believe thats how it should be used. It didn't cost a penny more, it just rewarded me for coming here. The prices are very fair here and the online ordering system is extremely easy to use, so I would recommend them wholeheartedly for any pre order you may want. The store itself has a ton of games and some random mixes of toys and what not too. The staff is pretty good, but nothing out of the ordinary. I hate to be petty, but I think we all know why they lose a star. The trade in system is just not great at any Gamestop. I never found the prices to be remotely fair. I will only knock star off though since everything else was great.

That's where Walt's really shines -- long after the posted hours, they open the space to all sorts of local hobby groups. I've been there with a rocket club in the back room, RC cars going on the track, and yet another group up front, meeting in the actual hobby shop part. The staff is super-friendly, and willing to help out and offer suggestions for whatever kind of project you want to take on. If you need hobby stuff, this is a great place to go in the Syracuse area.
