Flip Side exhibit by Brooklyn based artist Oscar Wilder was on display while I was there

I can't speak on their coffee as I don't drink it but the shop was buzzing with busy bees ordering drinks that sounded creative so I like that they seem to offer some signature drinks! I do drink tea so the fairly extensive menu of loose leafs and tea lattes (no to matcha, yes to turmeric honey) was a welcome surprise. Store is pretty spacious with lots of nooks and tables to hang out or get work done in. A large, tempting display case of American and Chinese baked goods is near the counter. Ordered a warmed up banana bread slice and an iced hibiscus tea. Tea was really refreshing, bread was standard but paired well alongside the former. Ok so I stopped by originally bc they had Oscar Wilder's art on display for a few weeks and it was fun to check out throughout the store. Love that they support local artists exhibits and will definitely stop by once back in the area!

Re-discovering Land to Sea (came here when they first opened and glad that they've stuck around and have been successful over the years!) and really addicted to their black sesame cold foam topping (+$2). Came here 3 days in a row for it. They had a salted honey latte special when I went on their seasonal menu & that was the perfect ratio of sweetness. They have rotating art on sale and it really does represent everything I am looking for in a community hub. 2 hour limit to be respectful--they have a really loyal fanbase and frequent crowds coming in throughout the morning/afternoon.

Tons of seating!! Great place to work. Got the slanted honey latte at the recommendation of the barista and it was delicious. Want to try the ginger next time. Barista was also really kind. Yum!

Craved some matcha after getting some lunch & stumbled upon what may be a hidden gem? I'm not from the area so I'm not sure if it's a hidden gem or I just happened to go at a good time but this coffee shop had plenty of space, fast service & delicious matcha.

Great, homey, cozy community hub with Asian pastries and drinks. They host local events to bring people together and the service was so good! I enjoyed the Apple crisp matcha latte oat milk iced $7 and my friend, who goes there pretty often because she's a local, liked her iced oat miso pumpkin spice latte. The buns were also delicious and fresh! There were lots of tables and multiple rooms, and people were chatting, reading, or doing work there.

Cute local spot with good, casual vibes. Matcha was delectably creamy, with the lavender pea flower one tasting like trix cereal milk but less sweet. I liked it lol. The baked goods were good, too. The roast pork bao was good, as was the egg tart (good balance of eggy and salty and creamy though far from the best), and the bolo was fresh and warm and cuddly soft. Service quick and kind. No complaints.

We came in the afternoon and most of the seats were taken and a lot of people seemed be doing work. I ordered the matcha spritz which I think is a summer drink and my friend ordered a regular matcha latte. I thought the matcha latte was just okay, and the matcha spritz was good! The front room felt warm on a hot day, and it was cooler in the back, but that area is dimly lit.

It's places like Land to Sea that keep me living in New York. A local coffee shop that has the community on its back, hosting local art exhibitions, pop-up bake sales, workshops, film screenings, etc. I'll be honest though. I'm not the moral authority on how good the actual coffee is. My order is just a black cold brew or americano.... tough to mess that up. BUT, I am the moral authority on a vibe check. Land to Sea CLEARS the vibe check. No corporate company driven by profits could curate this vibe. No amount of money could. It's straight from the soul. You can tell every chair, table, coffee mug, light fixture, and art piece that hangs on the wall has been hand picked. You might think I'm fufu or crazy, but in certain spaces I just feel so creative and free to express myself. Right when I walked in here I'm like "OH YEAH. I FEEL FLOWY!" Gotta stay flowy... Land to Sea is founded and operated by 2 daughters of immigrants who are first time business owners. I love this for a few reasons: A) I LOVE seeing young people start/run businesses. It's inspiring. They got me over here thinking what do I want to do that I'm not doing. No excuse, just produce. B) This is pure speculation, but I imagine their parents immigrated to the US to give their children the opportunity to do something EXACTLY like this. Their parents must be so proud. It gets me a little choked up just thinking about it. I had kind of a business meeting here so I was really nervous and shy, and didn't realize until too late that they specialize in Chinese pastries. I would have cracked off on that Bolo Bao forsure. Also, I'll be back for that Jade coffee mug they sell. That thing has been living rent free in my head for the past 5 days. I'm in a jade phase these days. THANKS LAND TO SEA KEEP DOING Y'ALLS THING! STAY FLOWY! Ig @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

    oatmilk latte with corn cream

I finally got around to coming here and I'm glad I made the trek! Their specialty drinks are really fun, and their Chinese pastries are tempting (they're just a lot more expensive than if you got them in Chinatown so I decided to pass on them). I got an oatmilk latte with corn cream on top, which was really good - the corn flavor was subtle but it came through and there were bits of corn pulp in the drink. The cafe is also a great place to work - a few tables outside, along with ample seating near the register and in the back room (it's just a bit darker back there in case you're looking for sunlight). There's also free wifi and a bathroom in the back as well. Highly recommend coming!

If you're looking for Asian flavors, no need to look further. Land to Sea has a whole spread of Chinese / Taiwanese pastries as well as asian flavor espresso drinks. Honestly a cafe lover's dream menu. The pastries are obviously best fresh, but they tasted pretty good after a couple hours too. They also offer seasonal special drinks, so you won't get bored of coming back. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love this cafe. The drinks are delicious and the staff is always friendly. It's great that it's women and POC owned. Their food is also very good. It's a super cute spot with a lot of community events! 10/10

Flower hotdog bun, ham & cheese bread, iced oat milk latte, and pea flower lavender matcha speciality
    Samantha L.

Cool Asian-themed cafe. They roast their own coffee beans and also have Asian-themed artwork. Dishes: 1) Flower hotdog bao: pretty good and soft, solid item 2) ham & cheese bao: good but not AS good as the flower hotdog bao 3) iced oat milk latte: solid. 4) pea flower lavender matcha speciality: I think the regular matcha would be better. The drink's color is pretty though Logistics: -accepts cc -has indoor and outdoor seating -good for teleworking

The guy working the counter has a lot of energy and clearly loves being there. The PB banana smoothie was yummy, very thick so could use a spoon. Mushroom toast was a bit pricey but you did get a lot of food for your money, the focaccia was crunchier than expected but all around a nice cafe bite. I just appreciate how this is such a gathering spot where you can watch bk life play out while working, it had a different energy from a lot of places in the area.

You've really went downhill. Everything is dreadfully smaller for the same price. You used to have a giant fluffy egg square on your breakfast sandwich and now I've gotten one lumpy small egg drenched in so much overly spicy sauce - that used to be more soft and palatable, I can't even taste anything else, to compensate for the lack of sandwich for over $12. Insane. The fries were the highlight of my meal and that's really saying a lot. $6.50 for one of the smallest iced coffees I've ever received... I think you're staying open on highway robbery alone. Or that the gentrifiers just don't give a damn. Honestly, I could've gotten something better at the Bodega for less than $35 after the Uber fees. I first ordered a chai latte and he said I could do two different syrups so I got the pumpkin and salted maple, though I was worried about it being too sugary so he suggested I could just do half a pump of each. And then I heard the other barista say something along the lines of, "oh Aida, how about 'Aida' rather not be here", pretty rude if you ask me. And then I ordered the spicy nook sandwich. And when another server called my named to grab it she didn't even knowledge me when I tried to thank her and instead she talked to her coworker while I was right in front of her. The sandwich was really good, so was my chai tea. I really like the pumpkin and salt and maple syrups too. I did like all the options for seating although it was pretty packed. I'd say if you have a big party get there early. By 7pm the whole place was filled. There was a huge majong club that came in and took the whole back area, it was so crammed there were lines for the bathroom. Over all I had a good time. I really like the music too just know it gets very busy in there. The employees I would say were hit or miss. The ones that were great though I really liked.
