LIARS LIARS LIARS. I'd been looking for a very specific car for quite some time so when I saw one pop up in my price range I was excited. Landers Kia posted the car with a price online but didn't have any photos, so I took off work and drove out on a Wednesday morning checkbook in hand. When I got there the salesman had trouble finding the car. Then he said it was at the Mercedes Dealership for service and that when it came back the sales manager was going to buy it. I asked to have the GM call me and when he did he proceeded to lie even more. Here's what he said: 1. We don't know what all is wrong with it. So how did you have it priced online already? Sounds like the sales manager is gonna get all the problems fixed on Landers dime and take home a sweet car to boot. 2. Sir-we sell cars to the first person with money who wants to buy it. I took off work and drove there with my checkbook intending to pay cash for the vehicle. So what do you mean you sell to the first person in line? 3. I never tried to BS the salesman. I walked in, told him what I wanted and that I would not be financing the vehicle. In other words, I was in your lobby, with cash, trying to buy a car you were actively advertising as for sale. You're liars, each and every one. I actually need to buy two cars, as you can see him refer to in the text about getting them brought over from another Landers dealership. The texts and listing, which they still haven't removed, are screen shotted below if you have any doubts about what happened.

    Velco to keep up!!!

We went to test drive a Jeep Cherokee the other day and had Robert McCone as our salesman. He was honest with us and very friendly!

Driving through little rock, I stopped for an oil change. I was in and out in 45 minutes and cheaper than jiffy lube. Thanks guys.

So let me tell you about this whole car-buying adventure... it started with me innocently "just…read morelooking." You know how that goes. I hopped on Edmunds, then slid over to the dealership website, and there it was... the Subaru Crosstrek. Blue. Not just any blue--that blue. The kind that makes you start rearranging your budget and your life decisions at the same time. Of course, I did what any reasonable person does--I went and had a little chat with ChatGPT, plugging in numbers like I suddenly had a finance degree. Credit score, trade-in, price... the whole works. Meanwhile, a salesman named Kevin texts me, asks what I want, gets my payoff, and says he'll get back to me the next day. Well... "the next day" gave me plenty of time to panic. After thinking it over (and probably overthinking it just a little), we convinced ourselves, "Yeah... we probably can't afford that Crosstrek." So I text Kevin and basically say, "Never mind, false alarm, ignore my dreams." ONE HOUR later... Kevin calls. This man comes back with numbers. Real numbers. Good numbers. "Wait a second... those are our numbers." And then he drops the kicker--it's for the SAME blue Crosstrek I had my heart set on. Y'all... we bought the car. For a better deal than we ever expected. And Kevin? That man didn't just sell a car--he showed up, followed through, and treated us like we mattered. In a world where you expect a sales pitch, he gave us honesty, patience, and somehow... our blue Crosstrek. Moral of the story: sometimes you say "never mind," and God (and Kevin) say, "oh no you don't."

I've been coming to this Pick N Pull location for 25-30 years and always appreciated the fair…read morepricing and self-service model. Unfortunately, since new management took over, the experience has gone downhill fast. The biggest issue is wildly inconsistent and inflated pricing at checkout. They have an official website where you can look up parts and prices before you even drive out there, yet multiple times I've been charged significantly more -- sometimes 2-3× the listed price, and occasionally more than a brand-new part would cost at a parts store. Example: I pulled a short, already-cut power-steering pressure hose (maybe 12 inches long) and was charged $18 for a "complete assembly" that retails new for around the same or less. I've had similar overcharges on door handles, small brackets, etc. When customers (myself included) politely point out the website price, the cashier becomes loud, argumentative, and dismissive -- blaming "Trump tariffs," "California prices," or whatever excuse fits the day. It turns a simple transaction into a confrontation, and eventually another employee has to step in and ring me up instead. This isn't a one-time thing; it's happened on my last four or five visits and I've overheard the same complaints from other customers in line. Spending hours in the heat pulling your own parts only to get hit with new-part pricing and attitude at the register defeats the entire purpose of a pick-your-part yard. The $2 entry fee increase is fine, but charging brand-new prices for used, dirty, self-pulled parts -- while arguing with every customer who questions it -- feels dishonest. Very disappointed in the direction this location has taken. I'll be driving the extra distance to other yards until this gets fixed.

Not only do they scam people into buying a "set of rims" that they have set out. Then when you…read morerealize that a total different rim is on the bottom they convince you that a total different set that's not even meant for your vehicle will fit, and if they don't come back in the morning for a refund. As soon as you real they wont fit they wont offer a refund but instead BAN you from the store. That is the most unprofessional way of doing business ever. That is the owners words too. If you didn't want to do business that way please talk to your managers because that's what he said. I hope y'all lose business.

However, he then tells me he does not have anyone to go pull the product off the car for me. They're all busy helping someone else. Mind you, it is 3:30pm, an hour and a half before close. I even offered to step outside so he could lock up the office and go get it himself. The part is pictured below. It takes less than 60 seconds to disengage it from the dashboard with a flathead screwdriver. The guy at the counter said he could not do that because he had to watch the phones. So, phones are more important than the customer in front of you? He said I would have to come back on Monday to get the part. Today is Friday. If I wanted the part on Monday, I would have just ordered it online and not inconvenienced myself with the drive to your business. Here is my issue. You small business owners want consumers, us, to support you over online retailers. Yet, how can you expect us to give you our business after experiences like this one? I came to you so I could get the part today, not 3 days from now. I was willing to pay more for local business so I could have the part today. Unfortunately, I won't be back on Monday. Online retailers win again. Save your time on this place, folks. Just find the part online. You run the risk of Hwy 5 Auto Salvage dangling the part you need in your face and telling you that you can't have it. I honestly just can't fathom refusing a sale. My mind is blown.
