Never have I experienced such a knowledgeable, generous, good-willed staff. Their combination of can-do-ism, kindness, and professionalism transformed a frustrating experience into a redeeming one. This is a great way to see some history and get a good walk or bike ride in. I went here a few…read moreweeks ago. It wasn't too crowded even on a sunny day. Parking lot might get full but don't worry. Drive a few feet down the road and there are lots all along the route. I parked close to the visitors center. Small gift shop here which had some pretty cool stuff but I thought it was somewhat expensive. I did get there right in time for a short 30 minute movie. I was so happy I got to watch this. Some real cool lighting and a great story. "Road to Revolution" it was called. I highly recommend this! I then walked along the trail called "Battle road". Went for a few miles. There are great signs along the way to tell you about what historical event happened. I will definitely be back here in the fall when all the trees are colorful for a bike ride.

Upon entering I was greeted by the two staff members with a pleasant hello and the question of how can we help you today? Meanwhile both of these guys were clearly in the middle of assembling/ servicing bikes but didn't seem to mind taking a minute to help me find what I was looking for. This was huge for me as i've been to other shops in the past and have had the opposite experience. One time the staff of another local shop couldn't be bothered to look up from whatever they were doing to assist me when I was literally there to buy a bike... a nice top of the line gravel bike I wanted for a long time..that experience left me so jaded I took my business elsewhere. Long story long that was not the case with these dudes, and after helping me find the helmet and peddles I needed I learned a bunch about the owner Jake and head mechanic Ed. Both of them local to the area - their stoke and knowledge of the neighboring trail systems was wonderful and they even hooked me up w/ a shop water bottle - I've got a zillion bottles but who doesn't love free swag?? Safe to say I left shop more stoked on riding than when I walked in and fully intend to shop here again in the future. Lastly, the aesthetics were modern and major bonus points for the sick grunge station they had on!

My son bit the bug on bicycling and when he was ready for a new bike, Gary helped us find the perfect bike, making some accessibility modifications like switching the brake sides to favor my son's stronger side, etc. I got my Stumpjumper here 20 years ago and Belmont Wheelworks keeps on delivering because of the people!

They said the estimated time for this would be around 5 days. After 10 days of them not contacting me, I called them. They said the write up was ready so I went to shop only for them to tell me it is not ready and to come back in a couple days. When I went back, the person who did the write up lost the paper and we had to go back AGAIN for a new paper. A 5 day simple write up turned into a 3 week back and fourth with this shop (and 3 weeks with no bike which is my main form of transportation). Story #2: I asked for 2 tubes for my bike and they gave me 2 different sized tubes BOTH OF WHICH WERE NOT THE CORRECT TUBE. Story #3: I asked for a tube for my bike and I gave them the model (which they sold to me). The person asked me what size it is which I forgot. So he replied "well I don't know that bike go figure that out yourself" (while he was at a functioning computer in which he could have looked it up for me). Story #4: I also had a kick stand repair after it fell off (my bike has a specialize built in kickstand) and it fell off again after 2 rides.
