Dr. Blatter has overall been very helpful to me and supportive of the choices I've made as far as my treatment options for the extraction of my front tooth. Last June, due to an infection, my number 8 tooth had to be immediately extracted the day before I was to leave for an out of the country vacation.This was all a result of an injury that had occurred way back when I was eight or nine years old and resulted in the tooth dying and causing all sorts of problems. I was very grateful that he was able to schedule me very last minute and went out of his way that day to make a temporary flipper tooth (invisalign tray with tooth glued in it). He had called me from his cell phone earlier on, shortly before I found out I would need to have the tooth pulled and he left a voice message expressing his concern and that he would be there to help out. I was very glad I didn't have to walk around with a gaping hole in the front of my face for any amount of time and I was even able to enjoy my vacation, even though I'd literally had the tooth pulled hours before leaving for the airport. I have however been a bit less impressed with some of his office assistants. The woman that scheduled my most recent appointment over the phone for having impressions taken told me she would be contacting my dad about payment and would get his card information over the phone (since my dad has promised full financial responsibility for my treatment). When I arrived at the appointment the next week, one of the women (not sure if it was the same woman that scheduled me) informed me right away that they had not yet contacted my dad about the issue of payment and I needed to call him right away to get his card information for her. Unfortunately, due to some legal issues I am having with my father, I did not feel comfortable talking to him over the phone, as I am trying to be sure all of our correspondences are documented through text or email from here on. I tried to explain this to her without going into too much detail and she only seemed slightly irritated that I would not simply call him. It was a bit frustrating because I had been told they would be the ones contacting him about payment and nothing was mentioned until that moment about me having to do so instead and it seemed as though she thought it was my fault..at least that's the vibe she gave off. About a week later, I called Dr. Blatter's office again to find out if they'd received payment from my dad for the previous appointment. They told me they had not and I told the woman I was speaking to this time that I would try and get in touch with him to remind him about payment. I also attempted to ask her a question about the temporary (invisalign) flipper I was wearing and before I could finish the question I was trying to ask, she snapped at me saying "there is still the issue of payment!". She seemed to be assuming that I was expecting something without having to pay for it, which wasn't the case at all. At that point I was feeling pretty irritated and told her I would call back later on, once I found out what the deal was with my dad and the payment. I then contacted my dad to remind him that payment was still needed and though he'd already agreed to pay for everything, he then informed me that he had changed his mind about paying for the costs and I was on my own. I called their office again to find out if Dr. Blatter would be willing to set up some sort of payment plan with me, as I was unable to afford the entire cost of everything right away. This time the woman I spoke with attempted to explain that they don't do typical payment plans, but that I could apply for "credit care" on their website. I was having trouble understanding how "credit care" works and she would not elaborate on it or be very specific when I tried asking more questions. At that point, I basically gave up. I find it a bit odd that while it's always seemed like Dr. Blatter really cared about my particular situation, he has not made any attempt to contact me himself about this dilemma. Maybe he has just been busy and hasn't had the time to contact me about it. I don't want to jump the gun and assume he doesn't care anymore, now knowing that my dad wont pay and the best I could do is some sort of payment plan...but that is sort of how this is appearing. I'm still giving him (not his staff) a decent rating for now, since I'm unsure about everything. read more

I have know Dr. Blatter for nearly a year and after reading all of the reviews for him here on Yelp I have to say I was shocked. Not only have I found him to be EXCEPTIONALLY nice, caring, compassionate and helpful but he is also one of the most educated, experienced and state of the art dentists I have been to in my 9 years here in Denver. My wife and I have another dentist we go to regularly not because we have had any issues whatsoever with Dr. Blatter or his staff but simply because we live on the opposite side of Denver from his offices. Recently when I needed a wisdom tooth pulled and my dentist wanted to send me to a costly oral surgeon with a 6 month waiting list I contacted Dr. Blatter to ask if he would be able to help. After reviewing my x-rays and consulting my regular dentist he told me he could help. I drove 40 minutes down to his office where he and his staff took great care of me. I suffer from high blood pressure and Dr. Blatter's office was the first to ever monitor my blood pressure to ensure I was healthy enough for the procedure. After numbing my mouth, Dr. Blatter was able to remove the wisdom tooth quickly, painlessly and without breaking it. He and his staff went over everything I needed to do and what to watch for as my gums healed, making sure I understood them and knew where to call in case of an emergency. He kept me in the office to make sure the bleeding stopped and that I was feeling ok before releasing me. I returned about a week later so Dr. Blatter could make sure I was healing properly and that everything was ok. Dr. Blatter's team treated me great as well. They made sure my insurance covered the procedure before moving forward so there were no surprises later. They made sure I had everything I needed. I would also like to ad that this is not a false review submitted by an employee or representative of Dr. Blatter's office but rather a real and legitimate patient. As for the negative reviews posted here I do not believe they are a true representation of the level of service Dr. Blatter's office provides. I did notice a few spoke very highly of Dr. Blatter but blasted him for the behavior of some of his office staff. Either those matters have been addressed and resolved or these were not legitimate reviews. I say this because while in Dr. Blatter's office I witnessed firsthand one of his office staff go out of her way to accommodate a very rude and hateful patient who missed her appointment because she drove to the wrong address. The staff member listened compassionately while the patient ranted yelled and called her every name in the book, she apologized sincerely for the patient's issues even though it was not the staff member's fault, and she bent over backwards to attempt to remedy the situation before the patient hung up on her. With more than 20 years in customer service I can tell you that she did EVERYTHING possible to fix the problem and make the patient happy. Unfortunately a number of the people who live in the Centennial area have an undeserved sense of privilege that causes them to believe everything is someone else's fault and that others should cater to their beck and whim. I highly recommend that if ANYONE has an issue with Dr. Blatter's office or his staff that they contact him and tell him about it directly rather then post snarky comments on review websites like this. Given that Dr. Blatter himself attempted to contact each of the individuals that left a negative comment and remedy the situations is proof that he is a Dental professional that truly cares about his patients. I am 150% confident in Dr. Blatter and his staff and would recommend them to anyone without reservation. read more

I was really shocked to read the two other reviews on here. Dr. Blatter has been my (and my family's) dentist for the past year and I couldn't be happier. I have had tons of dental work over the years and now have come around to the time where old fillings and crowns have broken down and need to be replaced. I apprectiate the fact that Dr. Blatter strives to offer the best care with the best technology. That is the main reason that I chose this office. Everyone on his team is professional and take the time to explain my treatment in great detail. I have always felt I am in the driver seat and have never felt "pressured" into any treatment. I too have been diagnosed with periodontal disease. Before coming to this office, I had never heard that I needed a deep cleaning. April throughly explained to me what this meant. She showed me xrays and explained what all the number readings meant. She explained to me that by proper removal of the bacteria from underneath my gums, I can get my mouth to a stable position. I have NEVER had anyone in a dentist office explain or educate me in this way before. I now know what I need to do to not only keep my mouth healthy with proper home care, but how it affects my overall health. I have a bridge that is 30 years old that needs to be replaced. I can't wait to have this done. I am going to have this bridge removed and have two crowns placed and an implant in place of where the missing tooth is. After 30 years of trying to clean around and under this bridge, I get to have my tooth replaced. I am more than willing to pay the costs for this. I moved here from New York 4 years ago. Let me tell you, if you think that Dr. Blatters office is expensive, you need to check around. His costs are half that of what I paid in New York. AND I'm getting the best materials that are in the market currently. If you are the type of person that is only looking for a "deal" and not concerned about your health, then his office may not be the place for you. I could not be happier with my experience with Dr. Blatter and his staff. I was in need of a cleaning and veneers for my two front teeth. The enamel on my front teeth was completely worn and causing me major discomfort. Dr. Blatter explained how doing veneers would result in a conservative natural look and would improve the problem I was experiencing with sensitivity. I was very nervous because it was my front two teeth...what if I came out looking like bucky! My nerves were easily subsided when Dr. Blatter expressed his excitement for the procedure. Sometimes it is difficult to find someone who is personable with their patients and truly dedicated to their work on each individual. He was literally enthusiastic to begin.The prep was easy and painless and involved minimal shaving to my teeth..which I was numb for. Then one of the hygienist took me for a cleaning. Once again I was nervous because my teeth are so sensitive. She did a great job! The cleaning was also painless, not time consuming, and very informative of my problem areas and how to prevent and take care of those areas. The coolest thing about my cleaning was a machine she used at the end. This machine was little and scanned areas of your mouth for cancer. Definitely a great service to be provided. I then went back with Dr. Blatter who designed my veneers right then and there and had a machine right in the office make them. He cemented them on, polished, and perfected. The majority of my original teeth were still in place and the veneer went right on top of them. Finally I got to see and they were incredible! I had these perfect teeth that looked like I had been born with them. So natural, and so beautifully done. Dr. Blatter is truly an artist in his profession and has a staff to be proud of. I realize that typically people don't post reviews unless they are negative. So, I'm here to share the best experience I've had with a dentist yet. The staff is not only personable, but professional. And, Dr. Blatter is top notch. I appreciate that he is thorough and conservative in making decisions for my best interest. It's refreshing to find a dentist who is not out to find issues, and rack up my bill. He's genuinely concerned. I was negligent of my dental care for the last several years because of a serious illness, so I needed two crowns recently. Something a previous dentist also discovered. I can own that instead of blame it on Dr. Blatter trying to gouge my wallet. Claudia B's statement in the review's saying that "he doesn't even do your fillings or other dental work," is incorrect. Dr. Blatter did both my crowns and the process was pain-free! He did a beautiful job. And, saved me some money in the process when one of the teeth didn't have to be completely drilled. He's honest. He's forthright. And, he's concerned for his patients. He's also very personable! The best testimony for me was when I was checking in one day, and behind me was the oral surgeon (Dr. Stone) also checking in as a patient for a check-up. Our family of 5 has been going to Dr. Blatter for 8 years now. We have always been given top notch treatment. Our dental work has been outstanding. We have loved his work with our fillings too. He gets them just right and perfect in our opinion. One time, (ONE TIME) after a filling there was an itty bitty tiny spot that my tongue kept wanting to play with. It was a tad rougher than the rest of the smooth work. Dr. Blatter called to see how things were I told him of my itty bitty irritation and he told me to come right in and he would look. It really wasn't a big deal. But it was important to him that I was 100% happy. So I went in and he smoothed the itty bitty tiny spot to perfection, no charge! My kids get excited to go see Dr. Blatter! We love the staff too. Always so friendly. We really like the high tech equipment. I have known Dr Blatter since he began practicing dentistry. He displayed a vast amount of dental knowledge and skills even as a new dentist. After working with him for a few months I knew he was destined to be a not a good dentist but a great dentist. He not only wanted the best dental care for his patients but he treated them with kindness and respect. His desire is to serve his patients with the same care he would give his family members. He has also been active in learning every aspect of new and better dental techniques. Dr Blatter believes in prevention and approaches his patients care in this manner. While many dentists prefer to "watch" cavitites, he believes in treating them before they become a problem. It was my pleasure to have worked for him for several years. I started going to Aspen Springs Dental in 2008 and have not ever had a bad experience. When I first moved to CO after college and had not been to the dentist for several years Dr. Blatter helped me get my teeth all in order. He was very open about the fact that some of my cavities were small and that some dentists would wait to get those cavities until they were big, but he liked to be proactive and get the little guys before they became big problems - made sense to me! The staff there is very professional, but friendly and always make me feel very welcome. After going the initial visit of getting all my cavities - big and small - his team has helped me keep my teeth in great order and I haven't had a cavity in over a year. I noticed the poor review on here and felt the need to post. I have seen Dr. Blatter for several years now. His work has been top notch the entire time. Yes, I did have the offer for the free teeth whitening, and yes, he delivered that to me without any problems at all when I started going to him. Since that time I have had a couple of cavities filled at well as at least 3 crowns. One of the crowns he put in was bothering me, it was extremely sensitive. He replaced the entire crown for free a few months later to see if that would help my discomfort. It completely fixed the problem! I just made a last minute appointment with him last week and he was able to squeeze me in. His work has been impeccable and his staff is always great to be around. I have referred him, and that person has stayed with him and has had no issues whatsoever. read more
