Nice place! Pretty good pizza, good bar vibes. Pretty much just what we were looking for.

I was over my friend's house at Watkins Gleb figuring out what to eat at 8pm. My friend recommended this place and said it was bar food. My first reaction was: "bar food?!?!?!" Usually bar food is terrible. But she said this place actually makes great food. And I said OK, I'll give it a try. My friend's go-to order is Philly cheesesteak, so I ordered the same thing on a wrap. The sandwiches and wraps comes with chips and they add an extra charge if you substitute it for fries or onion rings. My friend's husband got the deal for a delmonico steak and 2 sides for $19. We also got chicken fingers and fries for her kids. We called in the order, and they said it would be about an hour. Which is fine since we were in no rush and they were probably busy. The food was ready when we went to pick it up an hour later. Our whole order came to around $66 with tip. The food was hot and came in these Styrofoam boxes. There was a very large generous portion of chicken tenders, and the fries looked good. The Philly cheesesteak looked interesting as they used ground beef instead of thinly sliced steak. The onion rings were huge, and the chips looked like fresh kettle cooked chips. The Philly cheesesteak tasted ok, I think it's better than a sandwich rather than a wrap. I only ate half but was still very full. The onion rings were very crispy, and tangy sauce that came with the onion rings reminds me of the Burger King onion ring sauce but better. It was pretty good. We ordered the delmonico steak with fries and Mac & cheese. The Mac & cheese was really good, it tasted fresh, and was made with sharp cheddar cheese, and it was really melty. The chicken tenders were amazing. I haven't had chicken tenders this good in years. They were not dry at all, and were flavorful. The only downside is my friend says sometimes depending on the chef, the food might not be that good. But it seems like for now if you go on a Saturday night you'll have amazing food! read more

Honestly, I turned around when I walked in here the first time last year. Didn't think they could have good food as it really is a bar. I'm so glad we gave it a chance. Their food is really good! I got the Flatbread, pretzels and my hubby, the Meat Calzone. Which was delicious! And the bonus, a DJ with Kareoke on Friday nights. It's probably the liveliest place in Watkins Glen. We had a blast and have come back 4 more times with friends. Great pizza, vibe and billards too. read more

Really good taco pizza, great service from bartender, and had a good NY brewed IPA. looks like a local bar, which is a good thing, not overly pricey. If you're in the area, go, you will not be disappointed, unless you're a picky-upscale snoot, in which case they likely wouldn't want ya there anyway . read more

Came here after all the other restaurants on Main Street had a half hour wait minimum. Got the best chicken Philly of my life!! Had fun playing darts. The staff was friendly and attentive. GREAT experience even better food. I want another chicken Philly the sub roll was so fresh and the chicken seemed marinated mmmm just delicious!! Dive bar? Yes. Wings good? Absolutely incredible!!! I've had my fare share of wings and these were some of the best I've ever had. Cajun dry rub with hot sauce. My ONLY critique would be didnt have much cajun dry rub flavor. Super meaty and crispy. The nachos were pretty standard. The spicy cheese curds were to die for good! Highly recommended over the other touristy expensive pubs in watkins glen. So funny thing happened... as we are leaving I see a guy walking into store next door. The guy gives me a look and I said "omg those wings are incredible" have you tried them? He's like "I'm the owner of the place"... been doing wing's since the 80's. Super nice guy. read more

The best place for Wings in Watkins Glen! Being from Buffalo, we know good chicken wings... They must be crispy and saucey. If done right, you don't even need the blue cheese but you dip it anyway because blue cheese is great. This place has it all. The wings are excellent & a single order is 12 wings. Yessss give me more for my money! Looks more like a local bar rather than a place for tourists but I appreciate that they are open later than anything else here on a Sunday night. As a bills fan, I'm here to party till I black out and this place would let me do that. Throughly enjoyed our time here. All COVID precautions were taken and the waitress was so nice and kept the beers coming! Would definitely recommend this place if staying here for a weekend! read more

Stopped in after a hike in Watkins Glen State Park. Early Saturday, so no crowd yet. Had a "Philly" chicken cheesesteak that may not have been pure Philly, but was a damn good sandwich, good bread, toasted. Friend had chicken fingers. It was all excellent food. Cold, crisp draft beer. Our server, Judy, was great. Had time to chat with us and help with directions in town, and debate a bit of football loyalty (GB vs Philly, etc.) Highly recommended! read more

While we were visiting Watkins Glen to walk the gorge, as part of a mini vacation, we decided to try this place. (A recommendation from our friends we met on our trip). They did not steer us wrong!! Just a nice local type of bar. Nothing fancy. We love these types of places. Plenty of seating. Our bartenders couldn't have been better. They were so fun & friendly. Service was excellent. The beers were great. I had one or two on tap. The wings were outstanding. Nice & crisp outside, and a decent size. Great hot sauce (not too hot). Would definitely revisit if we make our way back in that area again!!! Highly recommend. read more

I found the Yelp reviews for this place and decided to give it a try. This place is just off the main drag, and is utilized by the locals more than the tourists, which I always prefer. It doesn't look like much when you enter. Typical dive bar. Stage, pool table, darts, large bar, low lighting, people in leather vests. Please don't let this deter you. The staff is incredibly friendly, as are the clientele! After a day of visiting the local breweries, we were done with beer, but they seem to have a nice selection on tap. We threw together a sampling of the menu: mac and cheese bites, the Delmonico special ($14 on Saturday) with sweet potato fries and lasagna soup (sounds weird, but soooooo good), a small Shelly's pizza, and an order of wings--half grilled Italian and half Korean BBQ. Everything we tried was awesome. My husband is very picky about his steak, and thoroughly enjoyed his. We're from Buffalo, and I hate to say it, but the wings were PERFECT. This is a gem in a sea of Watkins Glen tourist traps. We will be returning on our next trip in October. (fingers crossed!) read more

She singled us out out of everyone there and yelled at us, I TOLD YOU ONCE WE CLOSE AT MIDNIGHT. I DON'T SEE YOU F***ING MOVING. We had bought 6 plus drinks and tipped. We went to Landon's a week ago roughly on a Saturday evening because they had advertised their prime rib dinner. We both got the prime rib and were completely disappointed. The meat was a poor cut, thin and extremely tough, so much so that we both did not finish ours. Also, on other visits, we have ordered some of the deep-fried appetizers and again been disappointed in that the batter they use is flavorless and the appetizers are always overcooked. We do not plan to go back. Another reason is when we go to a bar or restaurant we do not want to see a guy sitting right at the bar by the door wearing a t-shirt saying "Biden is a piece of shit. He is not my President". Why can't restaurants have some standards like airlines do and NOT allow vulgarities to be displayed on patrons clothing?? read more

Stopped in last week during our weekend on the lake. We've been before when it was the Bullpen and we liked the dive bar atmosphere with great wings. This place seems similar but instead of a dark, dank dive it's bright (possibly a touch too bright) and clean with a bit of a makeover. It's still more bar than restaurant. There was no space at the bar so we grabbed a high-top table. Beers were cold (and cheap), wings were still great (new chef), nicely fried, variety of flavors etc. Amy was our server and she was downright delightful. Super friendly, brought me out an extra container of a sauce I was curious about. We sat and talked with Amy for a long time. While I'm usually more a fan of sitting at the bar, not having to worry about servers, we had a great time talking with Amy about our dogs and academics. We'll definitely be back next year when we make our yearly trek up from Brooklyn. read more

My wife and I were here for lunch. We were planning on getting to Watkins Glen State Park and wanted to get a quick bite to eat before heading to the park. Unsure of where to go to, we came across a sign for "Gyros" and decided to go in and I am glad we did. The interiors of the place resemble those of a bar rather than a sit-down restaurant, fancy or otherwise. We found only one employee and that was the bartender. On confirming with him, we took a seat at the bar. The menu being fairly limited, we had an easy time deciding on what to order. My wife went with chicken tenders and I went with the chicken souvlaki (gyro). Both dishes came out pretty quickly and were very good. My gyro was pretty nicely done and hit the correct notes with the tzatziki sauce, cucumber, and chicken. The chicken tenders my wife had were actually tender and quite importantly, had the right amount of breading - not excessive as is often the case. What impressed me in particular were the two sauces that my wife chose from the several that were on hand. She went with the mango habanero and cajun and boy, were they good. I would go as far as saying that few restaurants, even the fine-dining kind, have sauces as good as what we had here today. Finally, all of this was pretty affordable. Our total bill came to $17 or so and with the tip it came to $20. All in all a very nice and pleasant experience combined with the friendly service of our bartender whose name I didn't catch but on the receipt shows up as Dakota L. I would happily go here again if I were in the area. read more

We stopped in at, what seemed to be, an off-peak time. We decided to try a sampler platter, with small amounts of most of their appetizers. Everything on the plate seemed to be frozen food that was thrown in the frier. We waited for the check for quite some time, before I finally walked over & asked for it, which I thought was odd, because it was just us & one other person there. Wow was I disappointed by this restaurant. The food was atrocious, my friend got a mozzarella stick with no cheese in it; it was simply hollow. My spaghetti tasted like my mom made it (she's a really bad cook). The salad was somehow bad- how do you mess up salad? Even my sweet tea was not even close to what tea should taste like. The pizza could've been from Chuck E. Cheese's. The server was rude, messed up the checks and then told us to shoot her when it was time for us to tip her and begged us not to say we wouldn't come back. The food took over an hour to get and the waitress was impossible to flag down. At one point she was sitting at another table. The performer was good (Evan Dillon) but his amp was so loud that some complained and he told them to move. The atmosphere was even better- some creepy 60 year old man tried to take a picture with us (were young 20s). If you want anything more than a drink I'd say look elsewhere!! read more

Well here we go again. Helped a place to go for lunch and this place came up. Another fine establishment in upstate New York! When you first walk in you might not be so sure that you're really going to have a decent meal. It def looks like a dive bar on the outside, but once you're inside, you see lots of interesting accessories, lighting, signs, and really nice staff. Ordered a 16" pizza and some wings. The wings were crispy, and exactly as ordered- mild. Comes with the obligatory celery and blue cheese, but the wings are A+. The pizza was just as good and homemade. Had an IPA citrus beer that was perfect with the meal. This place must be hopping in the summer.. hope to stop by again. Well done! read more

If your thinking "how can the greatest fries in town look so disgusting and burnt?", well the answer is they changed their style. Landon's used to have the greatest, thickest and crunchiest fries this area has ever seen. Today after a month or so of not having Landon's I decided to cheat my diet and go for the gold and dig in to the delicious Landon's homemade fries! When I opened up the container I saw this. Disgusting and brunt fries. They weren't even the same type of fries. They are soggy and gross. I was very disappointed so I went back inside very pleasant and went up to the bartender and say "I'm not one to complain but these are brunt". Her response was "well they are homemade so they are suppose to look like that but I will make you a new one." After waiting 25 minutes for a new box I received this, a soggy, brunt box of french fries they had to of heated up in the microwave. Do not order the fries. Go with the wings and gyro but they also changed the blue cheese and I didn't know they know someone can mess up blue cheese but whoever that chef is..they did. read more
