We called 3812 Bistro on an evening to make a reservation. The host mentioned they may be full at the main seating area, hence confirmed a spot at the covered patio. This is a restaurant connected to Lakeside resort and the residents dine here. We were not staying at the resort. When we arrived, we were seated promptly. We had an awesome view facing the Seneca lake and Hector falls. From our seats, we saw the rains come in. We had light jackets and were able to have an awesome dinner. For the dinner, we had scallops for appetitizer, seared salmon, fish tacos and chicken parmesan. For dessert, we had bread pudding and cheesecake. All delicious and cooked to perfection. Richard and I were looking for a lovely place to say goodbye to lake Seneca on our final day of our trip. We also wanted somewhere to take our pure bred toy poodle, Lady Dionne. because lady Dionne can only eat human food as prescribed by her nutritional and spiritual Guide, Debra. (She's French) "oui" needed a classy joint that would cater to mama d (aka lady Dion) this is why we chose 3812. We had a reservation for 6:45 and we arrived fashionably late (6:48) ready to shove some rah rah down our gullets. My husband Richard had actually prepped his throat by lubing it a teeny bit with his great aunt's special sauce (it's just Olive Garden Italian dressing™) Instead of being led to our table like you would at a normal human restaurant, the child at the counter said "your table is back there go find u you old hag" after we did that and bodied it down at our table we were verbally assaulted as a way of greeting by our waitress. In doing so, lady Dionne let out a yell that was so damn loud, it broke a vase and popped my hernia. After the incident, we took a moment to pursue the menu. The options are as follows: sandwich, taco, burger, knock off Olive Garden. We got two appetizers which arrived before we were even able to order our meals (just to explain the timing of everything) and the food was just okay mamma I'll tell you that. Then it was time for us to wait 3 hours for our food. During this time we begged the gods and our ancestors that we honor on our ofrenda to do something, ANYTHING , so we could get our food soon. We hadn't seen a worker in what felt like years. Then finally it happened, we found a member of staff. Could he read? No. Could he write? Not fully. Was he bipedal! Of course not! But he was the most attentive employee. He also was in fact a chocolate lab. His named was rocky and him and lady Dionne went through an enemies to lovers. You could cut the sexual tension with a knife!! at this point we were getting so ravenous, Richard actually suggested getting a spit roast started at one point so I needed to use my body to protect rocky from his hungry and searching hands . Richard was completely non verbal. I watched in horror as Richard went through his war flashbacks in silence. (This is what happens to Richard when his sugar gets low) we asked rocky to see where the food was. Also just to set the vibe, we were the only people in the restaurant, I learned that the other table were actually just employees!!! (They got served very fast btw) rocky came back and spoke to us in English. He said "I don't know where your food is but I would like to ask lady Dionne for her hand in marriage" After the nuptials were finalized our food finally came. The burger was 8 oz of two inch thick, overcooked and in seasoned beef!!! It was disgusting and lady Dionne agreed. She prefers her purina. The chicken parm is much better at Olive Garden. At least when you are there, they treat you like family. The fries were nasty. the only good item was the stir fry but let's be honest... it's kind of impossible to mess up. This place has a 4.5 on yelp. And I just want to meet some of the girl boss mamas who rated this a five star and asked, who paid them, and how I can also get paid to write good reviews because review writing is something I am very good at as you can tell. At the beginning of the meal, I was actually considering ordering the crème brûlée. But I realized that I ultimately had to chose between ordering a dessert or seeing my grand children grow up. (Because it would take 20 years) anyway this place was not great at all and shouldn't have the rating it does. But I guess because of lady Dionne's nuptials with rocky, we are family. I was not a fan of the fries ( they were more like potato wedges), but everything else was very tasty. Our server was very friendly and the service was fast. Our experience started when we arrived 10 minutes early for a reservation. They had not cleared out the table before us and ushered us to the bar to order drinks. We then waited 15 minutes just to order. The bartenders were clearly inexperienced and were also busy serving. By the time we were seated at our table and ordered food, it was an hour since we arrived. All of our cocktails were made and served incorrectly. Nice place for some beer and burgers with a view. We were lucky enough to snag a spot outside. Ambience is kind of a rustic ski lodge inside. There's a friendly dog off leash who seems to be the house pet, but he definitely comes looking for food so be on the lookout. Service is friendly and helpful. We started out with some beer and ordered a pint of the two goats, red ale and a flight with the Seneca Lodge, peach blonde, war horse, and two of the red ales because they were out of the last one. Actually really enjoyed all of them. I normally go for darker beers, but the peach blonde was refreshing and would be perfect for summer. To start we ordered the spinach artichoke dip, which was OK but needed something crispy then pita. A toasted crostini was definitely called for. For entrées, we ordered two bistro burgers, which were both cooked nicely and complimented our beer nicely. 3 1/2 stars. Lovely very busy restaurant w/a nice interior & covered outdoor seating. As it was raining we had to sit inside. There were only 2 people working at this place doing everything including dealing with people at the attached hotel so serviced suffered a bit. We enjoyed bottles of Chardonnay & Rose as well as the blue burger, fish tacos, chicken taco's, veggie stir fry & the dessert sampler. I feel bad leaving a review so off the status quo, but I genuinely don't understand and wish we had had a 4.6 experience here like what was listed on yelp. Maybe we ordered wrong? My family came here for dinner as a night out on vacation. We got two different salmon dishes which were fine but completely unseasoned and two different chicken dishes which looked and tastes like Tyson's frozen chicken heated up. Our waitress was kind and attentive and the interior is casual but nice. The view is lovely. However, the food was way over priced for the quality and left every single one of us confused and disappointed. I never leave negative yelp reviews, but this food was not a choice we'd ever make again. It's dog friendly and cute outdoor seating. Came on a Friday at 5pm and without a reservation so it was going to be a 45 minute wait. Later on the hostess said if we could give back the table in a hour we could eat now. So we did. I got the southwest steak sandwich and my husband got the chicken wrap and we ordered pretzels with cheese dip as an appetizer. For the price point, I would say this is pricey for the little you get, a few pieces of steak barely and peppers or cheese, and no hint of a sauce to give it a southwest kick. I ate the sandwich in one sitting, which is rare for me and was still hungry. When it came to dessert I passed, because there's no way I was going to spend anymore money here. Atmosphere: 5 Love that this restaurant is pet friendly! The restaurant is spacious and provides an abundance of outdoor seating as well. Since it was a cool, rainy day, we decided to sit outside with our two small dogs (5 and 10 pounds). They have a hook on the wall for you to keep your dog leashed if you want. They also have a dog menu and a water bowl for them too. The staff are laid back and dog lovers as well. Temperature was perfect to enjoy the beautiful view outside. Portion: 5 I ordered a salad with grilled chicken and usually salad portions are huge but this one is just right for me. The appetizers were just right for us to share as well. We were all able to finish the food with no leftovers! The price for the amount of food is fair. Flavors: 5 I love the strawberry guava spritzer! They actually made it into a mocktail for me and it was very refreshing. My mom even ordered one after she tried mine! Flavors are spot on and made for a satisfying meal! We also ordered some steak tips for the dogs and they loved it! The staff were so accommodating and we love that we could bring the dogs in to join us. We were referred by Rachel at Lakewood Winery to eat at 3812 Bistro for dinner on a Sunday evening after a day in Watkins Glen. What a gem! We loved the atmosphere, food, and drink choices! The servers were kind and attentive. It was fun to see the renovation photos on a nearby TV. We walked around the beautiful and well kept property. Total vacation vibes dining by the window overlooking the Seneca Lake. When you first enter this Lakeside Resort you see a pet parking room....freaking awesome if you ask me! The owners have a dog named Rudy that peruses the restaurant. I was perplexed a moment in our meal as I saw Rudy outside looking in at us and I turned to my gf saying do we let him in? Lol. It was very funny and made the vibe that much more unique and special as this was the first restaurant to start our Thanksgiving tradition of getting away for the holiday. I went with the Roasted Turkey, Cornbread Stuffing, and Brussels sprouts. Turkey was good, cornbread stuffing meh (I prefer regular stuffing but did not see an option for that choice), and the sprouts were okay. I know this is not a ringing endorsement of the items however they were very reasonably priced and it did the trick as I was starving from the four hour commute. My girlfriend ordered the Salmon. I tasted it and it was good. The risotto we both agreed tasted too much like vegetables or something not pleasant. I want to say it look like the entire risotto was dyed from perhaps a beet. Asparagus was good however there were not many plated, four in total. Coffee and tea were are complimentary which is a nice gesture for anyone who dines here. We ended the meal with a creme brulee. The portion was extremely small however it tasted very good. I recommend this place if you are in the area and want that lovely warm feeling like you are on a vacation and are being catered to. My Dad and I had both a great meal and a memorable experience at 3821 Bistro last night. The setting is amazing, with gorgeous views of Seneca Lake. We sat on the deck and the owner's dog, Rocky, immediately pegged us as suckers and came and sat next to us during the entire dinner. My Dad had the scallops and I had the chicken parm sub - both were great, the server was lovely, and the other diners were friendly and had really nice dogs!!! I had already seen their menu on their website which said that the cocktails were made with bubbly wine, however it did not state that on the actual menu at the restaurant. My husband and I take a trip to the finger lakes every January for a long weekend. We have been making the 3812 Bistro a must for lunch one day during our trip. The food is fresh and delicious. The lunch specials are a great deal including a full size turkey wrap with bowl of chili which my husband had. He could not compliment the Smokey turkey wrap and how great it was. The turkey was great with fresh crunchy veggies and was pan seared hold the wrap together. I enjoyed the Cuban. They smoke their own meats and it is delicious! The restaurant has very nice seating and if you sit by the windows you can see down to the lake. The staff is very friendly and the chef came out and was very appreciative of the compliments and truly enjoys his job and working there. Last night my companion thoroughly enjoyed the Scallop Risotto and it was obvious why; the scallops were beautifully hard seared and the risotto was perfectly cooked. I had the beer cheese burger, the first burger I've ordered in a non burger joint in 25 years. While maybe a tick overcooked, it was beautifully presented, juicy, and a great mix of textures. Breakfast featured a special, spinach, olive, and mozz omelette. Mine was overcooked. My companion's, without olives, was perfectly cooked. The bacon (careful, $3 PER slice) was thick but nuked beyond.... A good spot that locals seem to like, be careful because there are 30+ lodging units so the relatively small restaurant/bar/lodging reception area fills up quick. Make reservations. read more

It's a small restaurant attached to the Lakeside Resort, with limited seating, so a reservation is highly recommended. Some nice views of Seneca Lake if you sit outside, but there aren't any large tables. All dishes were very good and well executed; the chicken piccata was a standout with lightly breaded and perfectly seasoned chicken on a bed of creamy fettuccine. Needed lunch after sailing on Seneca. This is a great spot, with indoor and outdoor seating and a very creative and expertly crafted menu. I went with the scallops, and my wife had the strawberry soup (yes!) and a steak sandwich. Everything was amazing. We finished by sharing the strawberry bread pudding. Again, amazing. If you are looking for healthy food choices in the area, this is the spot for you. Cool little place right off the highway. Great view of the lake. Small bar with draft beers. Food is made from locally sourced ingredients. We sat at the bar and I recommend you make reservations if you want a table. We started with the pretzel appetizer and the cheese sauce was incredible. Between the three of us, we ordered two bistro burgers and a NY Strip steak. The burgers don't come with sides but the steak does. The sides were three steak about five steak fries and Brussel sprouts. The steak was good and I'm told the burgers were excellent. Fun, friendly environment and staff. Modestly priced, but because the food is local, you are probably paying a little more. Splurge...you're in the Finger Lakes. The creamy garlic dressing on the salad was special ans was the potato leek soup. sadly, the peanut butter cup dessert was sold out. Our server, Karen, was friendly and provided great service.
