This is an OK place to buy gifts or souvenirs at Land's End. It's touristy but provides a wide range of Maine-themed items for visitors. On the 1st floor, you can find snacks like fudge and t-shirts. But if you go up to the 2nd floor, you'll find a wide assortment of Christmas ornaments. Service is OK and prices can vary a lot for different items. Note - there are no public restroom facilities inside the store. Instead, you will be directed to an outside port-a-potty. Therefore, I would go to a public restroom near close to the intersection of Route 24 and U.S. 1 (perhaps at a McDonald's) before the 20-minute journey to Land's End. read more

Always a must visit in the summer, when we have family visiting. They have the absolute best gift and souvenir selection. Great shirts and sweaters! Tons of Maine themed beach stuff. Interesting location, but gift shop was unimpressive. Very little that was unique and variety of merchandise was marginal. Interesting drive, but not worth a special trip. Gross port a potties a block up the road if you need to go. They expect people to drive here yet don't provide any facilities. Pathetic. My wife and I were on a week long road trip along the coast of Maine from Portland to Bar Harbor and back and we were out by Land's End Gift Shop. It has a cool statue outside of a fisherman and a beautiful view from outside of a bunch of islands. Land's End is a huge gift shop, with everything you would want from Maine. It is two levels and just full of stuff. We weren't really in the shopping mood, but it was raining, but it was a nice respite for 20 minutes. Worth a visit. read more

Is this place touristy? Yes. How could it not be? They're located at an ideal sight-seeing spot regardless of season, so of course they're gonna capitalize on that. But it's obvious what their angle is (so don't expect something else). I don't mind this store - you can find lots of Maine, New England, and ocean themed stuff. Sailor knot bracelets? Check. Candles that smell like pine trees? Check. Kitschy t-shirts about our supposed accent? Check. Mermaid shaped bottle openers? Check. It's a quintessential coastal Maine gift shop. SIDE NOTE: There's a wall of antique post boxes near the stairs to the second floor. They're beautiful and worth your time if you like vintage or antique things. It should be noted that the prices here seem all over the place. Something I would expect to pay $25 for was only $12, something I would expect to pay at max $3 for was closer to $10. It seems they have buy one get one (or two, sometimes even three) free deals often, but you're really gonna have to search to find something good. The other thing is the "customer service". No smiles or friendly interactions at all. The last time we were here we were obviously nothing more than a transaction (which worked for us since we wanted to get back outside to enjoy the sun). Staff needs to work on their social skills and customer service. The words used to my friends today were personally offensive. I will not be bringing my company or visitors to shop here again. Comments were made about the size of the clothing purchased -in an insulting manner- at the up stairs shop. And-If you have a disability and cannot breathe with a mask on, do not come to Lands End Gift Shop. One gentleman in our party ended up sitting in the car alone after being publicly shamed. Our whole party wore masks. He could not because of his many health complications. Customers would be better served if Lands End provided the training on the federal laws regarding American disabilities Act, as opposed to singling out and verbally berating customers. I am so embarrassed that my company was treated so poorly today. Go for a happy outing somewhere else. read more

Nice views all around! And the shop has a lot of souvenirs fitting the location. My daughter splurged on window display trinkets (sailboats, lighthouses, starfishes)...and they were just adorable! Touristy yes, but I like touristy stores - so there! A little bit of everything, lots of things with Moose or Lobsters on them - towels, cups, t shirts etc etc. Prices are very reasonable. We found this totally by accident and I am so glad we did. Great gift shop at the end of the line in Maine. Loads of items for children and adults. Souvenirs and home decor. I even saw a CBD display. I ended up buying a cute fisherman door stopper and a stunning matted photo that depicted a lighthouse in winter. Already have that hanging on my bedroom wall. The real draw here is the ocean. You're (as the title says) at the end of Maine on the coast. The view is spectacular. You can walk around the grounds and go down to a little beach. Plenty of photo opportunities. It wasn't too bad when we went - maybe 30 or so people with plates from as far away as Maryland. The iconic lobsterman statue is a great photo. I took several that are amazing. One was so nice on way to the beach looking out that I had it blown up and framed. Even the way in to this location is gorgeous. If you're in Brunswick, take the time to find Baily Island and make it here - you won't regret it. read more

The view from here is beautiful. I was on a road trip with my mother and we stumbled upon this gift shop while wandering around this part of Maine we had never been to. The drive to Baileys Island was great. There was one point where we were driving down a curvy road downhill and suddenly I wish there would have been a place to pull over and take photos. Postcard worthy! Ocean view on both sides of the road and just breathtaking. The gift shop was nice to walk around in and was quite busy when we were there. They have all the typical souvenirs you'd find in a gift shop and much more! I bought a pretty bracelet for $12 with a seashell dangling off of it. If you're ever in Maine and want to see an area that's not exactly a popular vacation spot and much quieter. I would definitely take the drive to Baileys Island and explore all the side roads with spectacular views. read more

This is a cute little shop right on the ocean. It is more about the drive and getting to the destination. The drive is beautiful, with views of the ocean and harbors and the little seaside towns. Giant gift shop at the very edge of the island. This place is literally at the end of the road. It's a surprisingly huge gift shop right on the beach. No restrooms for you, though! Scenic gift shop at the very end of the tip of Bailey's Island. Huge place with a second story. Lots of touristy stuff like t shirts and sweatshirts. Home made fudge and taffy, they even have a taffy machine inside. They even have Maine Sea Bags made out of old sails, really cool. We bought some great local Maine children's books. They even have a lot of children's clothes and pet stuff. Most of the clothes for sale are embroidered with Maine or some touristy slogan. Ohhh my word tourist trap. If you simply can't get your fill of sweatshirts that say "Maine" on them for way too much money, this is your store. Ok so usually I am not a fan of gift shops, they are all tourist traps, but driving to the end of the road to visit is made up with the scenery. Try it! Next, the shop is fine, you can get a lot of interesting stuff and the prices seemed fairly decent. Actually, when I went which was early October, they must have been trying to clear out a lot of items because there was a ton of buy some get some free, free fudge (with coupon), reduced prices and so on. I should have bought one in Maine, but I had no more room in my luggage. I found this website and I was a bit nervous about ordering the photo album because there was only one picture of it online. It came within a few days in perfect condition and for a great price! Definitely glad I made the decision to purchase this album. I try to visit this gift shop every year. I love it.. they have 2 floors of different tasteful, quality items. I bought a Camden Maine bell that I love. Also the sweat shirts are great quality..They make their own fudge right in the gift shop It is delicious..Blueberry is my favorite ...It's right at the end of the island.. on the water. So, after shopping you can put your toes in the ocean. Lots of beautiful picture to take. I see the same people working there year after year..very helpful. It's definitely worth the trip. read more

I thought the place was well worth the drive. We went in October, and the weather was windy but pleasant; the views were calming and energizing at the same time. I loved the gift shop, even though clearly geared for the tourist. Lots of "Maine" items, but many other lovely things, including some wonderful wind-catching "machines".
