I have used them several times. They have planted trees for us 3 times, removed trees, and delivered beautiful pots for my front yard. Brian has always been very helpful and the service is very quick! They have always been able to come to my house within a day or so. The gift shop is always fun to visit and find unique items. They have done a great job with the landscape center from what it started as many years ago (basically just a place to get sod). I also love that they have kept the tradition of lighting the big tree out front during the holidays. Our front entrance looks amazing now, thanks to Landscape Systems. Brian and his crew removed several shrubs, relocated others and placed two beautiful planters filled with color and class. They were so easy to work with and everyone at the nursery was very friendly and helpful. No one even complained when I changed my mind about the planters and the center plant. Let me first start off by saying this is by far MY FAVORITE garden center/nursery in town! They definitely have the best selection of plants, shrubs, trees etc... great prices! The store has the most adorable selection of decor! I could spend hours in there looking at everything. Let me tell you, I would take almost all of it if I could! The staff is awesome, all of them! Super friendly and very helpful every time I come in. My husband and I planted several shrubs out front. 2 of the trees we planted were dying. I showed Brian ( owner) a pic. He came out to my house and determined they were planted way too low. He then had his crew come by the next day and replant them for me and brought a few bags of mulch, also laid some root stimulator. All of this free of charge!As if they weren't already my favorite nursery, of coarse I love them even more!! Brian, one of the owners, was so helpful to me. New to the state, I had no idea what I was doing with a new bedding area I wanted to fill with colorful perennials, annuals, a trellis, and anything else to change the look of my yard. He patiently sat with me, drawing out my yard, suggesting many ideas I would never have come up with. I left with a detailed drawing for my landscapers to install the beautiful flowers and shrubs I purchased, and all of it to be delivered to my home. I plan on returning to Brian to continue to work on my gardening plans. I am sure there are very few, if any, gardening centers that will offer detailed drawings/consultations for no cost. read more

I'm surprised to hear some of the negative reviews. That hasn't been our experience at all. From landscape design to installation we've had nothing but good experiences. Brian's teams have been professional and knowledgable, timely and considerate. There hasn't been an issue that hasn't been addressed and fixed. Very disappointed in our experience with this business. We hired them to prepare a landscape design and execute on part of the design - replace/redesign the driveway, install a retaining wall, install garden beds, trim and remove some trees, install sod and install fencing. The "actual" cost was so far over what was quoted, we couldn't afford to put plants in our new garden beds! And they won't stand by their work. We were quoted $4,100 for sod, but somehow it ended up costing $6,100 once installed. No one was supervising the install, which was part of the problem. They ended up taking out existing grass that was meant to stay. We were only offered only a $700 discount on the overage which was entirely their mistake. What's worse - the sod looks like a patch work quilt. They installed bad pieces of sod that died and they installed one pallet that looks like a completely different grass. When we asked them to fix it, we were told "that's just how it looks sometimes". It's been several months and it still looks bad. Really felt like we were taken advantage of the entire process and do not feel like we got our money's worth for the tens of thousands of dollars that we spent. Extremely disappointed and the owners really don't seem to care. Would recommend staying away from this company's landscape and tree services!! read more

This place is AWESOME!!!! I've never been to a nursery as nice and big as this one. They had so many perrineals to choose from, which is why I was there, and so many other choices. Annuals, shrubs, grass/sod, huge elephant ears, etc. They have 7 acres of pure bliss. The store had a bunch of handmade items as well as other items. I definitely will be going back to experience the rest if the stuff they have. This is my go to nursery when I need something, even though I have one right down the street. Since the review was written, owner contacted us about an outstanding question about one of our palms. He came over to view the palm and we had a discussion about the services that were given. He explained how busy he and his business is, which would explain the horrible communication. We advised of the issue with him not responding to text messages and such and he agreed he did drop the ball. We have since gone in the storefront to look for a few extra things for our frontyard. We walked around a bit and the staff there was super nice and very knowledgable. (I did not get the gentleman's name who was so helpful with explaining to me how to apply Miracle Grow on plants properly but he was awesome and very friendly). As we were walking around, the owner spotted us and came out to help. He advised that since our conversation, he has answered every text and will not make the same mistake twice. We left the store with a huge new pot and flowers to go in it. We were told it would be delivered on Monday or Tuesday but bright an early Monday morning we received a text letting us know the pot was on the way. All and all the final product was awesome, our backyard looks great and our frontyard is gorgeous. It was great of the owner to talk to us about our experience and prove to us he can make it right. We are a customer for life and recommend this place to everyone! read more

Horrible service from this establishment. The prices are high, but I thought it might be worth it. Not the case. I spent a ridiculous amount of money to purchase a wonderful looking water fountain, Japanese Maple, and several plants to complete my backyard overhaul. The delivery was scheduled for yesterday and when they showed up, the plants were dehydrated and NOT what I selected when I paid for them one week prior. On top of the $100 delivery fee, and the $140 planting fee, which I paid for in advance, they told me they would have to charge $300 to install my fountain! I was stunned. I paid for a fully functioning waterfall and I felt extorted from in order to have the water feature I had waited over a week for. The fountain weighs over 400lbs and they told me all they could do was provide "curbside delivery". No accommodations or apologies when I called the owner and asked that they follow through on this issue and send someone to install the fountain in my backyard. When he refused, I told the driver to take everything back and I wanted a full refund on my credit card. They tried to make me take a store credit; how realistic was that going to be! And, I was being coerced into having to go to the store to "swipe" my credit card in order to receive a refund. The problems just kept stacking up - couldn't believe the insult to injury. On top of all of that chaos, the owner said he would have to keep 3% of the purchase for handling the charge from credit card fees. That was the last straw. My credit card company, Discover, is now handling that dispute for me. They will not keep a portion of my money for the terrible experience I had to endure! In summary - don't judge this place from its Looks and Products, judge it on how poorly they treat customers. read more

Two weeks ago I bought two spiral trees, 1 Pyracantha pompom, 3 Boxwood, 3 Fringe Flower and 1 Blue point Juniper to be removed from the front yard and transplanted in the backyard for a total of $876.52. This order was scheduled to be delivered on 10/14/2011 with a one year guarantee. David the landscape specialist told me that they would call the day before delivery to confirm with me the delivery time, which was set for 8:00am. So it's now 10/14/2011 delivery day and it's 8:00am and no one has arrived from Landscape Systems. I wait until 8:30 and give them a call. They say oh we are running behind today, and I say the day just started and you were supposed to call me yesterday to confirm delivery and be here today at 8:00am and neither one happened. He said I will call you back in 5 minutes. I get a call about 10 minutes later from Ed the owner and he says they will be there at 9:30am. In the mean time I cancel my appointments because I have to wait for them to show up so I can tell them where I want the trees and bushes to go. They show at 9:30 and I explain where I want everything to get planted. Now remember they have 4 trees to plant and 6 bushes. I return back at my house at 10:25 in between appointments and they are gone completely done. I proceed to the backyard where they re-planted my blue point juniper and it's laying on it's side with the roots sticking up from the ground which means they re-planted this tree without making at least an 16-20 inch root ball and the hole they dug was only about 10 to 12 inches deep. So I call Landscape Systems and inform them that the Blue Point Juniper they just planted is on it's side and has no root ball. The lady informs me that she will let someone know. So, I wait about 20 minutes with no call back, so I call them back and speak to Ed the owner and inform him that the Juniper has fell over. I then ask him when you re-plant a tree aren't you supposed to make a root ball at least 16"-20" around the trunk of the tree, and he responds yes. I then say well there is no root ball on this tree and the roots are completely bare and the hole they dug is maybe 12 inches deep. Ed then says I will send the crew right back out when they get back from your job. So, at 11:30 they show up again with stakes and string. I say to the worker you didn't make a root ball, and he replies these trees don't need a root ball, and I respond well Ed the owner says they do. He just gave me a blank look. They picked the tree up stomped it in the ground and staked it and left. So, I call Ed the owner back and say they just staked it and left, so I explain that the hole was not deep enough and there was no root ball. Ed then says I will call you back after I talk to the crew to see what is going on. So, two hours go by with no call back. So I get in my car and drive to Landscape Systems. When I get there I ask for Ed and the lady says Ed is not here I'm his daughter how can I help you. So I explain and she gets Ed on the phone. I explain that I had to call him to remind them of the delivery, call him back because a tree fell over 5 minutes after they planted it, tell him that they didn't dig a root ball or even dig a hole deep enough, and also let him know that he was supposed to call me back and never did. So, while talking to Ed he states that our re-plants are not guaranteed. I say well maybe if your crew knew how to re-plant a tree you could have a guarantee and the trees would not die. So Ed says he will refund me $75:00. I say oh so my tree is going to die and you won't do nothing because your crew sucks. He say's I will refund you $75:00. One more thing the guy that re-planted the Juniper tree told me to water it frequently and to keep it very wet. So I looked up Blue Point Junipers on the internet, and it said even after a replanting Junipers need little water, to much water and they will die. These people really know what they are talking about don't they. So keep this in mind, just because Landscape Systems looks nice out front and has a wide variety of trees and shrubs, flowers etc... doesn't mean they know what they are doing. Used their tree trimming service (B & M Trees) to trim heavily wooded half acre lot. The crew arrived on time worked all day accomplished what Brian and I discussed. Their cleanup and follow through was as more than expected, plan to use these guys on the other lot which is all trees. By the way by the end of the day the temp had dropped 10 degree and wind up 10 mph, never fazed the crew. read more

We had an excellent experience with this company and so far we are pleased with the way everything looks. They completed the work in a timely manner. Their workers cleaned up the yard well. Our landscaping looks very good and we believe the plants they helped us choose are appropriate for our yard. They have a one year guarantee on the plants if they are cared for properly, so we are being very careful to keep them watered correctly. We came in with our gardener and asked for their professional opinion on what type of plants and flowers we should plant for a very low maintenance yard. We don't have a green thumb and didn't want to have to spend the time outside doing maintenance on these, just something that looked pretty and had good curb appeal. We spoke to many of the employees and they all agreed we should go with perennials and a leopard plant. We showed them where they would be planted and they told us exactly which plant and flower to put where based on sun and shade areas. It has been a month since we got them professionally planted by our gardener and we have made sure to have the right watering system on them and they are all dead. All of the plants and flowers are wilted and brown and falling over. I took several pictures and went back to show them what happened because I know Lowes has a 1 year guarantee on their plants and flowers so I thought they would have that policy as well, especially after having such extensive conversations with them. I was wrong. I spoke to several employees and the owner Or manager Brian and he was very rude and said the flowers and plants looked just fine to him. He refused to do anything about it and told us to spray miracle grow on them. Said they do not have a guarantee on their flowers unless they are installed by them, which we were never told about or offered this service. He also said you have to use a special sanitized too soil with their plants and that was also something we were never told when buying them or else we would have given our business to someone else. We will never go back here, their quality or plants and flowers are horrible and their customer service showed their true colors after we had purchased from them. Please see the attached pictures of what their plants and flowers are doing and we have had several gardeners come by and tell us we are watering them just fine and doing nothing wrong on our end, it is just their bad inventory band also bad advice given from them on what plants and flowers to buy and use. We spent over $1000 and now just one month later it is wasted and now we have to go purchase from another place and pay for them to be professionally installed once again. They have caused us to lose a ton of money and they could care less. read more

Bought two big palms last year and had them plant them. I had concerns about the cold hardiness of the trees but the owner said they will be good and that they are guaranteed anyway. Well, guess what? They died. And the owner tried to tell me it got so cold that he couldn't guarantee them! After arguing he said he would give me 50% credit. Which is probably just his markup so he's really losing nothing. I am the big loser here. So now I'm stuck relying on them to plant two new trees. I sat around this morning waiting for them to show. I finally call them and they say they are running 5 hours late. Really???!!! They weren't going to even call me. Bottom line is Landscape Systems of Texas sucks. read more

They lost my business over a $15 plant. My husband and I just built our flower bed and were ready to plant flowers. I came here and spent $140 in plants and was ready to spend more. Unfortunately, one of the plants they sold me was broken, but I did not notice it until I tried to plant it. It looked perfectly fine in the pot, but once I took it out, I noticed a big part of the root was broken. No matter how hard I tried to make it stay up, the plant kept flopping over. So I figured I could at least exchange it for a healthy plant, right? Boy, was I wrong! When I arrived, I let them know that I planned on buying more plants and that I had a problem with this one. The manager on duty refused to exchange it for me since I had taken it out of the pot. I paid $15 for this plant, so I know the cost for them is a few dollars at most. I wasn't even asking for a refund. All I wanted was an exchange. But due that woman's treatment of me, I will never set foot in this place again. What a shame that they are willing to lose a customer for life over a measly $15 plant. I emailed the owner, and he apologized. He offered to exchange the plant for me, but the damage had been done. I just wanted to inform him that his employees are making his company look unfavorable due to their bad decisions. read more
