We had a large scope (our property is over 7 acres) and spent about half a day walking the property and discussing our thoughts. When we received the design, it was almost perfect! But we knew the design was the "easy" part...the execution of the design was the difficult and more important part of the project. Well, we can hardly find the right words for how smooth the installation happened! The installation Team was absolutely amazing! The Supervisors communicated great during the project but what really exceeded our expectations was the very few questions they had to ask us. That was because the Design was so well documented, the install Team had a near perfect roadmap to make the design come to life. All members of the team were friendly, professional and had a strong desire to satisfy our needs. They also exhibited tremendous respect for our property. They were careful with driving their large trailers and they cleaned up the property EVERY day during the install! That's right! They cleaned up every single day! One of the biggest challenges we've had with other Landscapers was poor planting techniques which resulted in plants dying. This is one of James Landscaping's biggest strengths. They took great care when preparing the beds before planting. They removed about 8-10 inches of soil and replaced with an excellent mix of soil and compost. We know this will result in all the plants developing strong roots for lasting health in our crazy Texas weather. We highly recommend James Landscaping for your landscaping projects especially very large ones. Unfortunately we know the initial and ongoing costs of poor landscaping (especially for large properties). We are VERY fortunate to have used James Landscaping...we wished we would have used them 20 years ago!!

I had a hard time walking on the existing walkway and had to be careful not to trip or fall. As the new walkway was being installed, I noticed the workers using string, levels and tape measures to ensure the walkway would be leveled. I also noted the amount of time they spent to chip away each flagstone so that it beautifully fit together. It made me feel that I was truly getting a custom built walkway. Since completion, I have felt very safe walking on the walkway and never get the sense that I'm walking on flagstones. My yard had several areas where I had a hard time growing plants. They filled in empty areas with native plants. They did an incredible job and I'm very, very pleased.

We have shopped here for a good while and spent a good deal of money at this nursery. They have a good variety and have had good success with our plants. We purchased 3 shrubs (plant in ground) and 3 plants (container) to go around our pool. Within 30 days, despite our effort to help them, they started to brown and drop leaves. We continued to try and help them rally but they continued to die. At about 60 days we took them back to find they only offer 7 day return policy. No store credit, no refund--nothing. This was a total of $200 gone. We have never been told of their policy for returns, it's "on the receipt". All other places we have bought from have a return of 6-12 months. We were shocked and saddened to see their response -- which we were told is because we hand water, no irrigation system and therefore had zero chance of any form of return service. We will not return and hope this helps others not make the same mistake as us.

A few months after installation. The fact this owner responded the way he did shows his true colors. Btw this is only a portion of our very large yard! SMH So we hired Don at the end of 2020 to put grass in our lawn .... I believe it was around 130 square feet. We paid a lot for this new grass. Don assured us that if any patches didn't survive he would come out and replace them. When a few patches died (about 5 patches within a few months) we called him and he flat out denied that he told us that. Now... half the grass is looking poorly and come to find out (from a real professional) we have two kinds of grass that Don installed! Very similar but two different grasses. I would watch out with this company! They lie and cheated us by putting in different grasses. Wow

The next day they came out and we were waiting on the sod. They are really highly self motivated. While waiting they just started to weed back and edge my front yard. The sod showed up and they went straight to work on the installation. These guys worked their back sides off. They had extra sod, so they prepped another area and installed the rest of the sod. They did an outstanding job. I don't have enough words to explain how good this crew is. This 5,000 sq ft of sod. I have 35,000 sq ft of back yard and hired Evergreen Lawn and Land scape. They have installed 20,000 sq ft so far. I will be hiring them for the next 5,000sq ft. This is a great landscape company and they have great employees.

This review is 100% based on my experience and opinion with Tim at Premier in hopes to educate…read moreothers who may consider contracting with Premier on what they may expect. We contracted with Tim at Premier in late 2021 for some landscaping and new sod on our new home in Copper Canyon. Tim did a good job helping design the landscape and putting a plan to together for our design. He was hands on to start and took us to the nursery to pick our plants and trees. He completed the project as described. Many of the sod squares however were already dead on install. Tim said let's wait till the spring to replace them due to the cold weather in the winter. We contacted him in March and he said he would come out to replace them in April. Come April it was extremely difficult to get a hold of Tim. He would not respond to calls and many texts. He finally answered the phone one day sounding extremely frustrated with us asking him to replace what he said he would do. He did come out and replace some squares but told us he was not able to get any more because of the grass shortage and that he would come back as soon as he got hold of more sod. (which we do not believe since we have seen sod at many nurseries) Since then it has been a nightmare dealing with Tim. He does not respond to texts and flat-out ignores our calls even though he repeatedly said he said he would replace the remaining dead sod. (I have text message to prove). I have even given him multiple opportunities to flat out tell he didn't want to honor his warranty by just saying so. We paid him $56k to do our project. Initially he was very responsive and professional and I actually considered him a friend. Obviously it was all for show till the check cleared. Once he received the funds he had no desire to follow up on his word. Buyer beware. If it's one thing I cannot tolerate it's a liar. If you hire Premier to do any work, our recommendation is to not pay him in full until every item is completed.
