Prices are very reasonable. I really like the shade plant collection. Becky, the owner, is super nice and will help you put plants together or even help coordinate planters. If you are in the area, I highly suggest stopping in. And if you aren't, it's a nice road trip. Why am I writing this in the winter? I've been buying plants from Swallowtail since she opened up but more importantly, I am planning my gardens for my new house and have inquired as to types of plants they will have this year. I believe they also added a venmo payment option. Hand saws are provided and rope to tie to top of your car. You haul tree from farm to car. There is no wagon or cart. Wear good boots as it was muddy when we went in both the parking lot and tree farm. Most people did roadside parking. They had lots of size options. Beautiful and super fresh. Still no needling after 2.5 weeks. They open a little before Thanksgiving and this year their last day was Saturday Dec. 11th. Their Facebook page gives updates. They also sell wreaths, super large wreaths and can prob do custom sizes if needed and had garlands and kissing balls.

They offer lots of small little plants, baked goods (sourdough, cookies, etc), other food products including local meats, beauty/skincare products and more! Truly something everyone could find and want to buy while supporting local farmers/makers. They run off the honor system and offer a great amount of different ways to pay. Just fill out the log with details of what you are buying and then pay one of three ways offered (cash, through card or Venmo with both those offering QR codes for quick payment). I think a few summers ago the girl who worked there told me every fresh item they sold is from Maine except the potatoes, which were from PEI. I wish the maple syrup and canned items were a little more local to Wales, but at least they are from Maine. My niece loved seeing the goats and chickens. We hired them for our wedding to provide bouquets, floral pillars, and an altar piece for our church ceremony. Unfortunately, what we received was very disappointing. Many of the flowers were brown and wilted, the colors were nothing like what I had requested, and the overall design felt rushed and mismatched to the vision we had discussed. When I reached out to express my concerns, I was told that they could only refund the portion of the order that included the brown flowers -- essentially acknowledging that they had delivered poor-quality blooms. Thankfully, I had gone to Trader Joe's beforehand, planning to make my own centerpieces. In the end, I ended up using leftover flowers from those arrangements to create my own bouquets, boutonnieres, and altar piece -- all of which turned out far better than what I had received from the florist, and at a fraction of the cost. However, doing this last-minute added a lot of unnecessary stress to the morning of my wedding, as I scrambled to fix what should have been a finished and beautiful part of the day. I truly wish my experience had been different. Your wedding florals are such a meaningful part of the celebration, and it was heartbreaking to have to redo so much of it myself. Based on my experience, I unfortunately cannot recommend Flowers and Herb Florals.
