my friends and I are not happy with how we got treated. letting a big huge woman with glasses named Pam tell us where we can sit she does not work for lane 33. last month there was a birthday party plus singing. And she had the nerve to ask us to move. There was no reserved markers on the table. This was not the first time she had pulled this on people in the bar i have been getting complaints from other people and they asked me report her as well. It's a bowling alley bar, they gotcha, friend! Bar bites consist of 1/4lb hot dogs, polish sausages, a delicious corn dog reminiscent of my childhood(not overcooked like the "on the stick" place), personal pizza and bags o' chips. If you're looking for more of a meal, food service is available through the bar from The Village Cafe, adjacent to the bar and bowling alley. The Village Cafe is a separate business, so the bill is separate from Lane 33 B&G, but everyone works together to make sure patrons are happy with whatever meal options they choose. Food from The Village Cafe is very good and portions are generous. But back to Lane 33 B&G.... While feeling like a neighborhood bar that understands how to make a cocktail, L33 also has lots to offer in terms of amusement: in addition to the aforementioned trivia Tuesday nights, they also have Karaoke, video and pinball games, a pool table and, of course, bowling. Bathrooms are kept clean and are neutral use. Staff checks Covid vaccine status if they don't recognize you, and gives you a wristband so coworkers know you've been vetted. Parking is free and plentiful and we've noticed a security guard walking the area every time we've gone. I honestly don't highly recommend this bowling alley. They can promise you that they're going to give you a room for a birthday party or even book you lanes and then cancel on you last minute. If you enjoy bartenders with awful attitudes, an awful band, and then being "cut off for being too loud" because you have to talk over their awful band...then enjoy this awful bar! This is easily the WORST place I've ever been to. It took 20 minutes to get my order, while the bartender was busy chatting with regulars. Then I wanted to play pool but, the bartender "cuts me off" because I'm being too loud and must be inebriated (after 2 beers lol)..... EASILY THE WORST BAR I'VE EVER BEEN TO. You guys should be embarrassed. If you're reading this review, please do yourself a favor & go ANYWHERE else. Good place for local divey fun! I used to go here when I was younger. Before they renovated the place. They did a good job with the renovation while keeping the casual vibe. They didn't make it upscale or high-end. It has a good balance between being family friendly and for grown ups. So what's inside: A bar, pool tables, arcade, bowling, connected cafe, and a bar. Food: It's alright. Your typical bowling alley menu but it does the job! Bowling: Good stuff. Clean depending on the time of day. They allow reserving lanes for parties. Some seating by your lane... not enough though. There's also seating with tables on the step up prior to entering the lanes. Arcade: Fun stuff in here.. but it's not very big. Bar: It does the job. Order a few drinks, play pool, and hangout with the homies. There's also karaoke and that's always fun! Staff: Helpful. Friendly, no complaints here. Parking: Huge lot! Shared with the cafe and the motel. They're all connected anyway. Restroom: Considering it's a single restroom and it would receive high traffic, IT IS CLEAN!(one for male and one for female. No stalls inside) Keep an eye out for great Groupon deals! Overall, I'm glad this place is still here. It's definitely a valley landmark. This was my go to on Saturday nights for 5 years. Just like on Cheers, I knew people and people knew me. It was fun and had my kind of people (someone said biker bar in an earlier review- that's completely untrue). Management must have decided to shake things up. The staff has been changing as fast as the faces of the patrons and the entertainment providers. I walked in tonight and found that my favorite bartender and two more regulars were gone and not coming back. Some of the changes have been good, others not so much. At the very least it was too much too fast for the regulars. If you're under thirty you'll probably like this place- they seem to be catering to you now. As for me and my older crowd of friends though, we're looking for a new place to call our bar. I really wish they would have thought more about how to keep their regulars happy while also changing their business direction, this place is big enough for everyone. read more

The nicest place in the valley and funniest. And not expensive at all. Came here for a Monday evening after work with my fellas total group of five. Started with bowling. Nice selection of balls to chose from. Especially for guys like us it is almost impossible to fund right balls with holes to fit fingers. Ambience is well established and make you forget about time. 2 hours for couple games. It wasn't enough and two of us went for a billiards other went to a bar. What I was surprised with is a juke box inside the billiards area with a great selection of music. So much fun! For a dessert we spent the rest of cash for arcades. Nice little bar attached to bowling alley and Best Western. 3 of my 4 favorite food groups! It was clean and appeared recently remodeled. It's pretty tasteful, and totally appropriate to bring colleagues. Happy hour was 5 buck domestic pints, and I want to say ended at 6pm. I was here on a weekday, so was not super busy. Bartender girl was a little slow, and I'd probably not come here if I was trying to get lit up. I did like that you can order food from the attached cafe and they bring it to you in the bar. They have a diner type menu. Burgers /sandwiches, pizza, salads, etc. I had a gyro and it was excellent. I bet it's a fun place on the weekend as they do karaoke (cat strangling), and have a pool table too. Will return for sure. read more

The Village Cafe on Winnetka is a wonderful delight. Life's hidden treasures are why I started this yelp account in the first place. You get so few good surprises in life, so finding unexpected yummy places to eat makes life just a little more exciting. Lane 33 is mostly known for its bowling alley and arcade but another delight to add to this do-it-all bowling alley: gyros. The fries could use a little more seasoning, but the gyros were refreshing and savory all at the same time. Without an overdose of flavors the gyros here are perfect for both the foodie and gyro novice. Grab a bite, strike some pins, and have an all around great experience over at Lane 33. Eddie's BIG take on Lane 33 at the Bowl... I hadn't been here since it got remodeled. Although it kept its divey atmosphere. I really like the upgrades. I actually enjoyed the karaoke. I would normally feel out of place at a place like this but you get good vibes from everyone around you. They're just there to have a good time and doesn't matter wether you're an amateur or been singing for years. I like coming here from time to time. On several occasions i have gone to this place and I have countered the manager Denny!! He is horrible and seems very unhappy!! I have said Hi to him a few times directly!!End it seems like he's willing to talk to the other patriots that are not hispanic!! Because every time I have said hi to him and have made eye contact with him directly he does not even smile or flinch , he does not even say hello! I wonder why upper management has not rectify this situation As I hear Many clients have a complaint about similar situations. Okay may I just say that this is an awesome place completely different from everything in the valley. Friday night band night was fun they played oldies but goodies, the crowd was fantastic im an old soul at heart so I loved this place. If you are looking for a chill place to drink lane 33 is the place to be. Becky is amazing she got me birthday balloons and decorated my table I truly appreciate that thank you Becky. The place is newly renovated. Plus the bowling alley is attached to it and the inn is literally right there if you get to drunk and don't want to drive. Lots of parking space. Lane 33 is great to get your drink on, have a good time and get to know people. There was more than enough space for hanging out and I recommend buying at the bar and carrying your drinks over to the bowling lanes for faster service. This place used to be fun for what it was but now I dont know what it is! First off they took out the things that people actually came in for like the keno, dart boards, and decent prices. The general manager they have here is rude and disrespectful to not only his guests but his staff! I don't know where they got this guy from but he does not belong in a position like this. He just stands on the side and doesn't do anything to actually help any of his employees. The things I've heard him say to his staff are rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. He is in no way productive or beneficial to this bar. It's very sad and hard to watch because the owner of this bar is a wonderful man who I respect and care about but it sounds to me like he doesn't care about his own bar. read more

We went here last night and had a great time. The food was mediocre but the drinks were great and cheap. The staff behind the bar were nice and on top of things. The only complaint I have is that the place is too small for a band. It is way to loud and you can't even hear the person sitting right next to you. We've been to Lane 33 twice in the past two weeks. Enjoyed the great turkey sandwich at the Cafe next door. My wife ordered a terrific Salmon and Sautéed Spinach dinner. I ordered the grilled ham and cheese sandwich. Very good food. After dinner at the Cafe we walked 20 steps to Lane 33, a Karaoke lounge in Winnetka Bowl. By the way Lane 33, inside Winnetka Bowl, is on the south side of Vanowen Street in Canoga Park. Johnny the Karaoke Jockey and Host played the music and many fine singers performed and sung a variety of songs. A very good sound system, a big screen displaying song lyrics, and a large number of songs to choose from Johnny's catalog of songs. You can also bring your own CDG's if you have special songs and arrangements. Lane 33 has Karaoke four nights a week including Sundays. Most song times are 8:00 pm to midnight and 7: 00 pm to 11:00 pm on Sundays. You might want to call them prior to going to see what evenings and times they have karaoke entertainment. read more
