Had a fantastic post-movie, Friday night bite at Pickwick, where Chris, Kim and their team keep things friendly and welcoming in a bright and lively room. We arrived at 7pm, and the place was still buzzing from Happy Hour. Lots of people drinking, eating and chatting while basketball played on the TV's they've got placed strategically around the pub -- no matter where you're sitting you can see the game. Our server, Natalia, was very friendly and took great care of us. My wife wanted a simple cheeseburger, which was cooked to a perfect medium-rare as requested. We hadn't been here in a while, and she admitted she'd forgotten just how good the burgers are ("much better than the other pubs around," she said). I ordered the Banger Bites: slices of English sausages served with brown gravy that I augmented with Coleman's hot English mustard and some HP sauce. The bangers were crispy on the outside, tender inside, with a mild flavor accented by Earthy herbs. Toss in some whiskey, and we were off to the races. While we kept things simple this time (we HAD eaten popcorn at our movie), the menu boasts a wide variety of options, from burgers and sandwiches to pub faves like fish & chips, shepherd's pie, bangers & mash, Scotch eggs and so on; plus an assortment of starters that go well with games and beer (wings, nachos, sausage rolls, salads and a fantastic, house-made chili). Breakfast hits, burgers are always a safe bet, chili fries are a must, and the nachos are definitely worth ordering. They also have some (authentic?) British food... that I've only tried a few of. Bangers and mash is good, I can't say much about the rest. Drinks are great too, with a nice selection including a few British beers on tap, but we always go for a good ole Guinness (or several). What really seals the deal here is the service. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive, always checking in without being overbearing. Shoutout to Natalia and Kim, absolute gems who make the place feel like home. Had a great March Madness luncheon at the PP. Relaxed and cozy pub with plenty of TVs to enjoy all the spectator sports. Bartender/waitress provided friendly and fast service. Really enjoyed the reasonably priced lunch specials. The Fish and Chips were light, crunchy but yet the fish was moist. Bangers and Mash were exactly as I remembered them in London. Two nice sized snappy and savory pork sausages with creamy mash potatoes. Also enjoyed the Scotch eggs although it was the first time I ever ordered them so I don't have anything to compare them to. I met up with some friends for trivia night and was shocked by the gratuity that was already included in the check. I thought gratuity was to base it on service. Be prepared to automatically pay 20% more. At the end of the day, my bill was $35 and I only got a Philly cheesesteak with fries and 1 beer. read more

This was a small but cozy pub and restaurant! The waiter was wonderful and had a very down to earth vibe and personality! it is small place but it has a larger atmosphere which makes up for that. You seat yourself when you come in food is priced well all things on the menu were more than affordable! Great portion size for price point! Descent bar area with tvs to watch sports! The food was great had everything was properly seasoned and came out hot! I got fish and chips and hot wings for $34. Only down side was the fish was a bit soggy on the other side and it fell apart that was a bit disappointing! Happy hour runs until 3pm Monday -Friday although I didn't drink during my visit they have a large tap selection of must have beer and draft. I recommend to stop by and give them a try! Went to Wednesday trivia. The service was great and the trivia game was fun and challenging. I went with four other friends and it was a good time until we received our receipt. We were charged a 20% gratuity charge on top of buying a 2 drink minimum on each of our tabs. Was sitting in my car in the back parking lot for less than 10 minutes, after having a few drinks, and had 2 of them come out to tell me to move my car, when there was literally no one else there. Great British Food! My son and I had the unexpected pleasure of finding this hidden gem. Of course I had to get their fish and chips. They were perfection! The fish was fresh and delicious and the coating was so light and incredibly crispy!!!! I haven't had any fish and chips this good outside of the UK! Then the shepherds pie was very good. Great flavor and great comfort food. Also had the bangers and grilled onions. Another very tasty item. Then the sticky toffee pudding, excellent! It's a family owned restaurant and the daughter of the owners was waiting on us that day. She was very helpful and extremely nice. We will definitely be back! read more

Family loved all the food! We started with bangers and onion rings, they were surprisingly good. Onion rings were light and not greasy. Fish n chips were not bad at all, we had three orders of it. Son really enjoyed his Shepherds Pie. The waitress was above and beyond! So pleasant, and attentive! We sat in the corner by the window and it was nice and private. The Rams game was going on, there were some exciting moments, and everyone in the pub did what pub people do during a football game. We enjoyed that atmosphere. read more

I'm a BIG fan of Fish & Chips, but let's face it.....once you've had them in England & Scotland, etc. they're usually VERY disappointing here in the U.S. But I had a major craving for them so I googled where to get good ones and stumbled across Pickwick Pub for the very first time. I wasn't expecting much, to be honest. But I was very pleasantly surprised!! First of all, the portion was HUGE - 2 of the largest pieces of fish I've ever seen. I couldn't even finish it. Each one was literally the size of a steak! The breading was super tasty & crispy, and the inside was moist, flakey, and not fishy at all. The onion rings were also great! The breading on both items was light, crunchy, and yummy. Even their ranch dressing for dipping was better than most. I took off 1 star only because I think that they really must find a way to drain off much more of the oil before they put the food only the plate or into a to-go container. The paper underneath was completely drenched in oil, and even when I swapped it out for fresh paper to absorb more of the oil that got equally as drenched as well. It would be much more appetizing if they let all of that oil absorb off in the kitchen before they serve it. But other than that, I'd say that the fish & chips here are amongst the best I've had here in the states. read more

This is a local pup that my niece introduced to my boyfriend and I. She loves that it's a special Green Bay Packers bar. On game days they play packers along with other games on the tvs. The waitresses are great at their service and always come by to see if you need any refreshments/ food. The food is so good! I ordered the chicken Pot pie which was ok- the crust was overly cooked and the filling was more watery than creamy. I didn't care for the mashed potatoes as they were very thick and dry. It helps to put the gravy on them which I did not. Husband got fish and chips and seemed to enjoy them. We ordered a burger for our daughter and she liked it but it looked basic. They have some darts in a separate room. It got quite loud in the main seating area after 6pm. They do have a small sitting area in front and a patio out pack. We go here once ir twice a week! All the food we have had here was terrific! The owners are often there and happy to chat with you. The staff is very friendly. The entire staff is friendly and accommodating. They ALL GREET YOU WITH SMILES. The patrons are just as friendly and warm. I went there for the first time on a Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. The doors were open but they were still setting up and they were not ready. I wanted breakfast but I didn't feel like going to a breakfast house where I would have had to wait online for a long time. A wonderful woman came out of the kitchen and asked me what I wanted. I said breakfast. She said they wouldn't be open for another 20 minutes. I made a face. She said sit down. I'm going to make you breakfast. She asked me what I wanted and I said bangers and eggs. 10 minutes later she put a plate in front of me where the food was piping hot and the presentation was meticulous. Second time here, so adding on to previous review. Last time we just got drinks and fries, this outing was about trying the authentic pub dishes. They were a hit, and almost TOO authentic. If you know British cooking, and I do, you know what I mean. If you aren't familiar with British pub food, read on.... We came in in on the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving, thinking it would be quieter. DOH! Little did we know, and have since learned, Thanksgiving Eve is one of the busiest bar nights of the year! So Pickwick's staff was hustling even harder than previously reported. They had a few large groups and a birthday bash in the dart room. We snagged the last spot for two and we're attended to immediately, with menus, set ups and drink orders. Stem cider still on tap, recommended previously when I was here, and still mighty delicious. Food: Hubby went with a basic grilled cheese(came with fries) $13, and proclaimed it was delicious. I went with the Shepherd's Pie $16, and ordered a side of fries for $5 because they are THAT perfect. Here's where the authenticity plays in, the Shepherd's Pie was HOT, temperature wise and stated that way all through the eating, which is fantastic! However, like traditional English mince, this seasoned beef had very little seasoning. It was good, not salty, so that's good, but nothing really flavorful either. That's pretty traditional. I'm not knocking it, but a bit more seasoning would've gotten it a higher mark. Services was great. Love to see everyone jumping in to help get guests served and bills closed for the night. Don't go if you aren't a packers fan. My husband and I went for date night here, since we were in Woodland Hills. It's rare we get away from our kids so we were really looking forward to tonight. It was the WORST. Not the fault of the owners! Just a really annoying customer who ruined the experience for us. My husband was heckled by other customers while we were sitting by ourselves minding our own business. One drunk guy kept yelling questions at us, asking why we support "blank" team instead of the Packers. When we told the bar tender, he just laughed and brushed it off. We were perturbed by this behavior and even more because of the bartender's dismissal. We ignored the drunk guy, to which he took it upon himself to corner us in our booth and even tried to sit with us. NOPE! We left shortly after and went to HQ, where it was SO much nicer, SO much cleaner, and get this! Nobody was crying over my husband's jersey. WOW! read more

I give this place zero stars. I went there with my friend the other night. This big African American man was behind the bar. He never greeted us. He just threw menus at us after we had been sitting for over 10 minutes. Then when he finally made his way over, I told him I wanted a Modelo. He said, we don't have it. It was clearly on the menu. He didn't offer any suggestions. Then he walked away. Then he came back after 5 more minutes then said, y'all gonna want anything? He was so rude and full of distain when speaking with us. I will say this, my friend is a big African American man as well and I am a Mexican/Native female. He had no reason to come at us that way. But he did. Good local pub. Feels a lot like London. Came here 3 times while in town. Service was good every meal was reliable. Fish and chips was good. Fish wasn't greasy, fires cooked perfectly. Pot pie was done well with lots of nice moist chicken. Shepards pie was the true test it was almost a true pure Shepards pie. Little pricey but for good quality food I'll pay it. Cute pub. Came in on a Wednesday night, it was trivia night so the place was packed, no tables available so we sat at the bar. It seems that's where the regulars sit as the bartender knew just about everyone that came in. We had a couple of beers and ordered some food. Had a Guinness and an Old Speckled Hen (one of my favorite British beers so happy to see they had it.) ordered some scotch eggs, fish and chips and sausage rolls with mushy peas. I appreciate the mushy peas. It's something I grew up with and really enjoy when it's offered at a pub. The sausage rolls were nice and buttery and flaky. The scotch egg dish was nice with some pickled onions, pickled beets and a small side salad included in the plate. My only issue which is a very small one was the mustard. It's in a jar. I had already used my knife so didn't want to stick it in there to get some mustard out of the jar. I was concerned about using it thinking others might not have been so concerned about sticking a used knife in there. Like I said very minor personal issue. I'd definitely come back k to try more of their British fare. Service is good, prices, fair and a nice pub ambiance. read more
