This was a small but cozy pub and restaurant! The waiter was wonderful and had a very down to earth vibe and personality! it is small place but it has a larger atmosphere which makes up for that. You seat yourself when you come in food is priced well all things on the menu were more than affordable! Great portion size for price point! Descent bar area with tvs to watch sports! The food was great had everything was properly seasoned and came out hot! I got fish and chips and hot wings for $34. Only down side was the fish was a bit soggy on the other side and it fell apart that was a bit disappointing! Happy hour runs until 3pm Monday -Friday although I didn't drink during my visit they have a large tap selection of must have beer and draft. I recommend to stop by and give them a try! It is a great place to bring a family or group of friends it's a neighborhood hidden gem!

You would love PickWick Pub for the same reasons people love any Neighborhood and Family-Friendly Bar; it combines a casual, welcoming atmosphere with a sense of community; Regulars get to know each other; it Offers quality food and drinks without the wild party atmosphere of a regular bar, People can unwind after work without a club-like intensity. Families can dine in an environment where kids are welcome, Screens for big games without the intense sports-bar energy. And if all of the above won't bring you here, Natalia will! She was the server last Thursday, and she was fantastic. We ordered the nachos, and they were fantastic! I don't drink alcohol, so I got the Stella, which is alcohol-free.

The drinks were solid and the bartender was super friendly, great service. We really enjoyed the French fries too! The ambiance was nice and chill. I'll definitely be coming back soon. Just a heads-up, parking is street only.

Cute date night spot with amazing fried pickles.

The best. My favorite Brit pub in the valley. Kim is awesome. They have a couple of British beers on tap which makes me happy. Been going here for many years. My happy place for sure! Truly British, Truly authentic.

    Are there any gluten-free options?

There are plenty of items on the menu you can order which do not contain wheat/bread. Beef stew, Shepard's pie, Bangers and mash etc..

    Is there a happy hour?

They stopped their Happy Hour during the Covid/only outside seating etc..

Are Children allowed in this establishment? I'd like to bring my 16y.o. brother to get some food since it was a film location for "the office" and he'd like to see it.

Yes. Just not seating at the bar

She was an absolute joy to speak to and made fantastic drinks. The Pear elixir was unbelievable. It usually comes in a martini glass, but I asked for it in a regular glass. We ordered the cheese quesadilla to start, then we got a Croque Madame and a turkey burger. Both were absolutely delicious. The turkey burger was not dry. It was fantastic. This place offers many things to do daily. Poetry readings, music featuring local artists, R&B, jazz, soft rock, etc. They also do micro weddings and rehearsal dinners! There is a dining patio out front and in the back, but the latter is something special. There's a little stage there where they offer all these fun nights and where someone would have their micro wedding. It is open air, but covered and retractable. The architecture and character is adorable and I loved it. There was parking in the back and some chairs and a table with an ashtray for smokers in the parking area. they have Sunday ticket and multiple TVs to watch all sports, including women sports! Just ask the and they will change one of the channels! please know the channel name in advance! plus, They are LGBTQ friendly!

The sushi options were great. They also have daily happy hour from 3-6, even on the weekends. I had the banana bread old fashion and was surprisingly pretty good. The tuna crispy bread was really good, good portion. The cauliflower was also good, definitely had. A kick but for someone that doesn't do spice very tolerable. The sushi burrito was also good but fell apart at the end. Staff was great, and the bathroom was also pretty good, 3 stalls for women. Parking was $7.50 which was a bit wild. I wouldn't park i come and park in the garage

Worse than the dive bar I used to attend in the 5,000 person population college town I used to work in. I ordered the fish and chips. Dry! Burnt! Freezer burn! Fries were dry and nasty. Awful stuff! I had to send it back. It was that bad. See the pics. A friend of mine ordered some starters. Deviled eggs and chicken. Awful. A joke. Egg yolks and food coloring. Avoid. The place is run day-to-day by a group of Generation Z idiots. Backwards hat wearing fools. It's sad. Come for the drinks. Leave the food for the punters. First, parking is rough. And by rough, I mean practically nonexistent. If valet is available, use it. If valet is full, good luck finding a spot nearby. The restaurant is much larger than it appears from the outside and has a great atmosphere for watching a game. The place was packed, but our server was outstanding. Given the crowd, especially during the World Cup match, the service was impressive and easily one of the highlights of the evening. The drink menu offers a large selection of beers and spirits. The cocktails were decent, though nothing particularly memorable. As for the food, it was mostly average. The pork belly tasted more like carnitas, which wasn't necessarily bad, just not what I expected. The cheese balls received mixed reviews at our table. I thought they could have used a little more seasoning, but I was in the minority on that one. The crab cakes were small and, for me, lacked the most important ingredient--crab. Opinions were split at the table, but they didn't work for me. The house chips had a nice texture, although the frying oil tasted like it may have been due for a change. The smash burger was decent but nothing special. The steak frites were okay; I believe it was hanger steak, so take that for what it's worth. The shredded beef sliders were also just okay. Overall, I'd definitely return if I was in the area to watch a game and have a few drinks. The atmosphere and service make it worth a visit. However, if food is your primary reason for going, there are better options nearby.

We are rarely in the area, but since we had some errands to take care of that led us to be in the nearby, and we didn't know what to eat, then my wife said how about some fish and chips from a different place, then it hit me that I had this place bookmarked and saved for some time now, and now was the perfect time. We came there and parked in the public parking building that was free. We came inside and there was a party of two in front of us waiting. The waiter, seemed to be the only one, came by and said hi to everyone and his thanks for our patience and wait. He later came by and took them to their seats. They requested outside, and the took them. We waited a few more minutes, then it was our turn and he was ready to lead us to our seats, but we asked for outside as well. He asked us to give him a few minutes to clean up a table for us. After so, he sat us and gave us menus. The service is good, considering he is the only one, but he moves about pretty quickly and still giving everyone his all. The table was pretty nasty. It was sticky. But we wiped it down and proceeded onto our night. We ended up ordering the two piece fish and chips and their pub burger with no cheese as my wife is lactose intolerant. People really need to realize that smoking is smoking, it does not mean that vaping is ok. Respect others by keep that to yourself, especially in a restaurant. The food came out pretty fast, and very hot and fresh. One of the fish was perfect and crispy, the second pieces was lacking. It was soggy and not fried long enough. The fish itself was great. It had a nice texture, firmness, and lightly salted. The batter was bland and could use some salt. However, eating it with the tartar sauce was amazing. The tartar sauce is perfection. Definitely a good fish and chips combo when consuming with the tartar. The steak fries were perfect. The burger was completely lacking. I thought it should be sent back. The idea was ok, but the execution was wrong. The burger was overcooked, way too overcooked. If it was cooked correctly, it would have been a great burger. The onion rings are great though. Great flavor, great batter, good frying. Overall, the waiter made the experience good because he was on top of it. The food was ok, as there are things that would make it better. But if you have never been here, definitely come try it. Remember, the atmosphere is still a pub, not a family type restaurant, but is ok for a family to come here as well.

Pub food has lots of comfort so it's a good place to indulge and unwind after a stressful day. Which seems to be everyday these days. I opted for the cheese toasty but they were out of tomatoes that day so I didn't get to experience the full Monty. Wife got the fish sandwich. Tasty slaw on it. Daughter got the steak frites. These had skinny fries while the sandwiches had thick pub fries. Didn't order any drinks but most people looked happy with the selections. You can ask to get 10% off your meal if you go to a movie and show your ticket. I asked our server about it and said she'd take care of it. Well she didn't. Whatever! I figure it's tough making a profit these days so I didn't push it. Wouldn't want the pub to go under for just $8. Service seemed pretty slow as it may have been understaffed the night we went. Several people outside waited quite a while for their checks to be handled. Didn't take any pictures, plenty are already posted in other reviews. Free Parking is in the garage adjacent. That is a nice draw in Newhall.
