I recently bought a used washing machine from Robert Tylisz Appliances in La Porte on SR-2 to replace my old one that had started leaking. Since my house is on the market, I wanted to leave reliable appliances for the new owners--ones that didn't cause any trouble. To my disappointment, the replacement washing machine wasn't quite what I expected. After it was delivered, I discovered that it too was leaking water onto my basement floor. What a mess! Feeling panicked and desperate, I immediately called the store and left a message with one of the employees. The next day, I spoke with Maureen, who instantly put me at ease. She assured me that the company would make things right--and she meant it. When the delivery team arrived with a replacement machine, the two gentlemen spent the first ten minutes apologizing on behalf of Tylisz Appliance, which I found very honorable. They installed my upgraded used washer, apologized once more before leaving, and made sure everything was in working order. The following day, Maureen called to confirm that I was satisfied and that everything was running smoothly--which it was. A few hours later, I received a knock on my door and was surprised to find someone delivering a thoughtful gift from Robert Tylisz Appliance. Tech was good but the fact that sears uses AI for their appointments and their custome service…read morenumber is complete garbag. Appointment was set for 2 weeks out with a window of all day. Then over the weeks would get text messages saying there was windows open for earlier appointments but no way to confirm. When calling their customer service it's just AI menus and after requesting to talk with a real person the AI say there is no real person to talk with. Finally get to the day that they are going to come and the time jumps around till the tech shows up. Following the tracking for him his previous stop before me was at least an hour away. So it looks like they have one guy covering all of northern Indian. He gets there and hes in a rental SUV. So if anything was needed to be replaced he may not have been able to finish and may have had to take another day off work because of it.
