'No reflection on the technician because he did his job. The problem is with Sears AI scheduling with no reasonable way to talk to a live person. This lack of communication made it necessary for me to be home for 2 eight hour days in order to let the technician in. I told AI what the code was and what parts the tech needed to bring to fix the appliance . This information was never passed on to the tech. This meant that the tech had to come one day to get the error code and the to get the parts for a second visit. The Sears website is very misleading and inaccurate. read more

Tech was good but the fact that sears uses AI for their appointments and their custome service number is complete garbag. Appointment was set for 2 weeks out with a window of all day. Then over the weeks would get text messages saying there was windows open for earlier appointments but no way to confirm. When calling their customer service it's just AI menus and after requesting to talk with a real person the AI say there is no real person to talk with. Finally get to the day that they are going to come and the time jumps around till the tech shows up. Following the tracking for him his previous stop before me was at least an hour away. So it looks like they have one guy covering all of northern Indian. He gets there and hes in a rental SUV. So if anything was needed to be replaced he may not have been able to finish and may have had to take another day off work because of it. read more

I am now on my fourth appointment, with an 8 to 5 window. The first appointment they ordered the wrong parts. The second appointment nobody showed up. The third appointment they fixed something that did not fix the issue, but he did not stick around to verify it. Now I'm waiting for the fourth time, home from work, I have no ETA @11:39am. I left a review and I'm guessing all of Sears is just AI now; the response directed me to call their 800 number for further assistance which does not allow you to speak to a person. I would never recommend Sears to anyone. This has been an extreme waste of time and the money I'm losing from missing work four times now. read more

We had a fairly major leak in our LG WASHER. Inch and a half of water in the hall and 2 rooms. Technician was on time. Was here for about 15 minutes and informed us there was no leak with no explanation of how three gallons of water escaped onto the floor. After having moved several pieces of heavy furniture out of the water i had asked him what could we do to ensure this didn't happen again his reply was to buy protection plan at $80 a month. That didn't answer the question and I was dissapointed. read more

Technician was committed and did a good job. Satisfied with him work - he was quick and efficient and I commend his knowledge. Extremely difficult to get through to Sears Service over the phone. None of the representatives could pull up any of my old service request, orders or completion, I was bounced around from person to person. Sears really needs to upgrade their quality and customer service. It's taken over two months to try and get appointments, replacement product and service from Sears. I would give them a star rating of one. read more

Called in to get my GE washing machine repaired as it was not draining and spinning. First time I called was on 01/31/24 and Rudy showed up. Sat in the drive way for a face time call for 15 mins. Finally came in and he pulled out my wife's hair pins from the machine using a magnet and said it was fixed. I asked is there nothing else you can do to fix? He said there is a computer and there are no codes for him to fix. I paid $119 as I was assured if the same issue showed up there would not be a charge. Worked for a few days but then the same issue showed up and Rudy showed up on 02/12/24. Sat in drive way for 15 mins on facetime meeting. This time he did not run the full diagnostic and I stood there to see what he was doing. He took some more pins out, which I knew would happen as not everything was cleared out, and he asked for $119. I said that he mentioned there would not be a charge for the same issue. I wanted to run a full cycle ~30 mins to ensure that there is no problem but he said he does not have that time and wanted me to pay. I said you can bill me but if you cannot wait for a wash cycle to complete then I cannot pay. Also, I said I would pay if he opens and washer spin head to assure me that there are nothing else, but he was reluctant to do so and said it will be $289 to open the wash machine spinning head. I said fine so do that. He told me that he is the technician and the machine does not need to be opened so I asked him to stay to ensure that the cycle is complete but he said he cannot stay and left. Also, note I had called the customer service call center and they had said there will be no service charge of $119 when I set up the second appointment. He said that the customer service sits in India and they can say whatever they want. Finally he left and the machine still does not drain and spin. Also did not get charged or paid for the second service. What a waste of time. read more

the technician was great, he was respectful, on time, and truthful. when I scheduled the appointment through AI texts, I provided model number and error code in the unit. this should have been sufficient information to provide me with update that the cost of the parts and service would be more than double what we paid for the actual dishwasher. What a waste of my time missing work, the technician time coming out to me. and frankly, paying $130 just to tell me that I would have to pay double the price of a brand new unit is completely ridiculous. why ask for the error codes and model number if you aren't going to use that before sending a tech out?? must be just to get the $130 charge for a 5 minute visit. absolutley ridiculous. I want my money back and my time back I spent missing work for this. read more

I had a prescheduled appointment for repair with a commitment they would be here between 8 and 5. I waited all day and at 3:30 I received an call that my appointment was cancelled. No explanation. When I called they had no explanation and I couldn't get rescheduled for 10 days. Terrible service read more

great guy and great job. He was on time and very sociable and professional. On time and very informative.

They came out for the fifth time to work on an icemaker that was the original call. This time he thought another payment was due because it was how the call/invoice was originated. (generated as a new call and not a recall) and because I refused to pay he could not work on the icemaker and order any new parts. I think since it was the fifth time he has come out, he should have made a call to correct the type of invoice to a RECALL and not a NEW CALL. He thought if I could get it worked out he might be able to be back in a couple of weeks. read more

I was informed by the technician that Sears could not and will not fix a AC draining issue. After waiting over 2 weeks for an appointment where the work order clearly stated that the issue with the AC was water leakage I get a call the morning of stating that they (Sears) doesn't fix that type of issue. had a problem with refrigerator not maintaining temp called about it first of December came on 19th said it needed new compressor installed compressor January 4th in three days everything was thawing called again came January 17th still didn't get to working temperature called came again on February 5th still had temps of 15 to 18 degrees in freezer and 55 to 60 degree temps in fridge. called and said this has been ongoing for over 2 months with no resolution felt they needed to step up and replace it as was part of the sales pitch when I bought their product. Told me they could send tech again on12th of February. Already went over 2 months without refrigerator so I don't want anyone else to get taken in on their sales pitch because they don't honor statem that after 3 attempts to fix if not repaired they will replace it. Joseph T. was very condescending and rude. Told my wife that she was star struck by the bells and whistles instead of shopping for a quality product. Never actually worked on the washer and left without completing the work ticket. Samsung had agreed to replace the washer if he finished the work ticket with what be believed was wrong but he left and never completed it. We have out 3rd appointment for the same issue. read more

24 hours later the unit is still not cooling. not fixed. no way to contact sears. everything is automated.

I wouldn't give this place one star if I had a choice. I needed to get my mothers self propelled craftsman lawnmower repaired. The self-propelled wasn't working. I called Sears repair # for Mishawaka. First a woman answered. I told her why I was calling and what I needed repaired and asked if they could repair it. She didn't know but wanted my phone # to check my records. I said I didn't have any records with sears, it my mothers mower and again asked if they could repair it. She gave me a number to call to find out. The number she gave me was disconnected. I call the first number again. A guy answered and assured me sears could fix it just bring it in. I drove 20 mins to the store, parked came in and told a clerk why I was there. He hAd me follow him to some swinging doors and told me to wait while he found someone. I could see him having a difficult time finding someone but finally another guy came out and asked what I needed. I told him why I was there and could they fix it. He said "yep". I said it's out in the lot in my truck should I bring it up to the door? He said "yep", and followed me back to the door. When I came back to the door he was gone. I unloaded it by myself and with my truck running and parked illegally pushed my mower inside and down a hall to the doors I originally found the guy. He was there. I said my truck is parked out there at the curb running by itself, what do I need to do next? He then said well there is a $50 diagnosis fee just to send it in. I said already know what's wrong with it I just need it fixed. What do you mean send it in? He said we got to send it to Chicago and It could take several weeks. I said I don't have time for that. Why didn't anybody tell me this? What a waste of my time. Never again Sears add this to the list the reasons your store is failing. read more
