This is a nice size Lane Bryant. The difficulty with this store is the parking lot. I absolutely dread parking here, it's a mess. They have everything laid out nicely and great pieces up on show. The employees could be a tad more knowledgeable about certain coupons but are still very nice and personable. I mainly come here for their bras. They're great quality and last forever. They usually have some good sales in the back of the store. They have a rather small shoe collection though. Personally I like this store for the intimates section. It's huge and there's plenty to pick from. I normally don't buy regularly priced clothing here, it's a bit expensive. Definitely worth a browse if you're in the complex. read more

Poor customer service and lack of ability to critical thinking skills. I came to the Clifton location (25 minute drive one way) with with a return from an order a different location made. I had a hard copy receipt. The sales clerk and manager said their system could not pull up the receipt or sku number. I advised them the item sku was on the receipt. The manager said they cannot pull up the sku number and can only pull up the bar code number. The manager advised me to contact online customer service and I was turned away. Online customer service pulled up the order number using the order number on the receipt (next to scanning bar) and Sku number. They said it was up to the discretion of the store location to process the return. She could not provide an answer to why the store location did not troubleshoot further and look up the order number in the receipt. I submitted a complaint to upper management regards to the situation and disconnect between store operations and online operations. I then called the manager at the store location to provide additional feedback. It was determined the issue was a lack of knowledge/training that the order number was on the hardcopy receipt. The manager said the only thing they could have done was issue store credit. The customer should not have to jump through hoops to return an item. The store location employees should have used critical thinking skills to solve the issue and provide better customer service. The level that was provided was similar to a low end store. This situation was inconvenient, frustrating, and avoidable. read more

I recently started going here for a few things here and there. While I was there the other day I decided to pick up my sister a birthday gift. I asked the girl to take the tag off and she did. She tried to give me the price tag and I said I didn't want it. Somehow it magically appeared in the bag with my sisters gift. What asshole does that when I got a gift receipt with it. This place is run kind of like the post office. There's always only one employee at the counter, no matter how many people are waiting or how long you wait. Another employee or two are there, but they will not come up to that counter no matter what. Most (not all) of the employees here seem angry to be at work. Not that I blame them, since I too hated working retail, but perhaps they would be better off looking into another line of work. In any case, I will probably avoid coming to this location in the future since they tend to make me feel like I am grossly inconveniencing them when I ask just about anything. Ok I used to love this place about 2 years ago when different managers were there. I can't say anything negative about the sales women, however there is a manger there during the day that always has a disgusted look on her face and is just flat out RUDE! When asking a question she looks at you like you have three heads and she lies about how you can and can't use coupons. I had a coupon on my phone from a text and she flat out said, we can't use coupons off of your phone. Yea right I used a coupon from my phone 3 weeks ago when another manager was there. At first I thought it was me, but then someone asked me a few days ago if I had a coupon and I said use your text and she said ' I can't, the manager said they couldn't use coupons from the phone.' I did of course ask which manager and low and behold the same woman I have issues with. The funny part is my friend said when she was walking out of the store, the sales person who helped her said oh you didn't like anything? She replied and said yes but that lady said I can't use coupons txt from my phone... The sales girl shook her head and said.. 'She is full of it' why would we have mobile txt?!?? Again the other girls that work there are super sweet and helpful, but I have stopped going to this location because I can't deal with the attitude of this woman. I try and avoid her at all costs. Also if you want to stand in line for 45 minutes this is your place. you have 1 person on the register and 7 in line. I don't understand if you have 4 other people on the floor why if there is a line halfway through the store no one helps?? Lane bryant needs to hire employees that want to be there, not people wit nasty attitudes. Because of 1 bad seed you hired, you lost many customers. Ladies, Paramus LB and Wayne LB are very nice and so helpful. I am making the trip there. read more

The last 2 times I've been there, NO ONE was at the checkout. Last time, I walked around by the checkout, clearly annoyed, while looking for a saleswoman, who were all up front folding things and chatting. Finally got someone's eye, and she came to the checkout muttering - literally muttering - something about not knowing if she can check out. She typed in her log in code into the machine, but her code was denied. She tried again about 10 times, maybe more, and she doesn't say a word to me except more muttering about how the machine wouldn't take her code. Then she tells me she has to go find someone else. She walks back up to the front where they're still folding, I waited what I thought was a reasonable amount of time. Saw no one even headed my way, so I left my items on the table and left. No one said a word to me when I walked right past them. I've had checkout issues here twice before, so I'm never going back. read more

Horrid customer service. One of the staff is totally inappropriate, which ruins it for all! Not only muttering as the other review stated. Not only that I think the problem employee is a manager. This employee was putting down a customer and being flat out rude. She wasn't even tending to me(anther employee was), and the RUDE employee started yelling out my personal information across the store and to customers in order to shame me. I tried not to lose my cool, by not engaging, but she CONTINUED. She even started to attack my husband whom was standing on the sidelines. It made No Sense. I was appalled at the behavior. I did NOT know this women. I did NOTHING to her. I ended my transactions abruptly (although the tentative employee whom was assigned to me tried to get me to stay), although no staff told her to stop and that what she was doing was wrong. Apparently the rude manager didn't want me returning and exchanging sizes because it would look bad at their store. NO ONE SHOULD BE TREATED THIS HORRIBLY. I even called customer service with my husband (something I never do), and was promised a call back, and never received it. Do NOT go to this store route 3, Clifton, nj!!!!!. Go to the Wayne store instead....nicer and professional staff. I never in my life have been so insulted, and I am more shocked that a manager was yelling out my personal information such as credit card info and my sizes to customers in order to ridicule me when she wasn't even helping me. And it was obvious the other employees were embarrassed and knew what she was doing was totally WRONG, but they were also obviously afraid of her. How dare she demand the info from the employee by looking over her shoulder. I should have called the cops. I was just in SHOCK. That warrants immediate dismissal, but I doubt that happened.
