Woman gave very rude and curt responses to our questions. Said she did not have pricing. We asked when she could discuss pricing, she said she could not tell us when that might be. Ive worked at journeys selling shoes & currently work retail at a gift shop. After my last experience here i might just go somewhere else from now on. Aaron I think his name was, was extremely hard to buy my shoes from. First my friend wanted to order a pair of shoes they didnt have in her size & he sat on an iPad explaining "she should just do it herself because he cant loggin right now" she said that was "fine" so after that he asked her if we would combine our purchases because "it'd help him out a lot" i was really uncomfortable doing this.. her & I dont live close to each other & she was getting shoes for her children's birthday's but.. she agreed because he said we could pay separately. ( I was still confused why this was happening ) Well when it came my turn to give him my money I asked for the military discount ive used countless times at this store, Aaron immediately got defensive & weird about "I have to do a return if u want to use that because she already paid" I was so confused about what was going on the entire time. At one point he took my shoes out of the bag & threw them on the ground. I immediately asked "why are you throwing those on the ground" & he said "because you want to return them" so mad at this point i said "I work retail myself & this is absolutely ridiculous, can i please just buy my shoes so I can get out of here" he replied with "yeah i agree this is really ridiculously" ! Basically i just wanted to give him the finger. It upsets me i cant get good customer service when i do it all day, i know it can be difficult to smile & be helpful sometimes but ITS YOUR JOB!

The selection has drastically changed but not to where if you're looking a quick outfit to a cookout or club. There was rarely anything suitable for work attire. To be honest it's a hit or miss when shopping here. Maybe they should ask what the people are looking for instead of having clearance sales on items that should be donated to Goodwill or trashed. Sometimes brands were marketed together and other times you had to search through a rack. I think better signage would help. There are only 2 fitting rooms but this place wasn't very busy on a weekday afternoon so there was no wait. They didn't have the petite pants I was looking for, but the salesperson was very helpful and said she could place an order for me. Prices are comparable to online retailers and other local stores. I noticed a rack of clearance scrubs with Urbane pants for $15 which is a steal. I prefer Uniform City a bit more because of the personable staff and coupons but I have a weakness for KD110's recycled plastic bottle fabric scrubs which you can get here in 3 colors!

The store is always busy but I am greeted promptly and they get the shoes and complete the transaction right on the sales floor. They don't send me to stand in another line to pay. I LOVE that. I was browsing the store for shoes for my husband for Christmas. I didn't see anything on the…read more"men's" side of the store so I just started wandering around. I found a pair of oxblood red doc martens on the "women's" side I was looking at because I knew he wanted those. An associate approached me and asked what I was looking for. I explained that I was just looking for shoes for my husband. He proceeded to tell me I was on the wrong side of the store so I must me shopping for myself. I said no I was looking at the doc martens over there. He said "I'm just going on what you said so either you're shopping for yourself or you're in the wrong section because the men's doc martens are over there." I immediately left. My husband is a huge fan of doc martens and has always wanted a pair, so I know a bit about them. The number on thing about them, they're unisex. Just like converse and vans. When you go on the doc martens and journeys site, those boots, the 1460 burgundy, pull up in men's and women's sizes. So, for this guy to put me down like that and assume I'm shopping for myself or think I don't know what side of the store I'm on, was very insulting. If you're going to work in a shoe store, know a bit about the shoes you're selling and don't assume anything about the person buying shoes. Especially in an age where genders are fluid. Very unprofessional and will question coming back.
