She was able to comfortably try on each of the shoes without feeling pressured to buy. She ended up loving two pairs equally which worked out well with the buy one get one for $20 sale they had at the time. She spent $199 for two pairs of high quality boots. I did browse through the sale rack a little and thought the prices were a bit high, especially for a "sale" price, but this is a small business that I assume is family owned and ran vs. a big box store with bulk discounts.

Although the store obviously does not have as large of a selection of merchandise as an online store, I thought that the assortment of shoes and accessories was good and that the prices were low to moderate. The time of year is fall, so I saw mostly dress shoes, sneakers, boots, and slippers. The handbags were not the brands that I prefer, but I liked the selection of socks. I picked out two pairs of socks that looked thick and warm. They were an average price of several dollars per pair. The cashier did her job well.

The clerk that helped that day was 5*. My husband purchased two pairs of shoes for around $400. We went to Europe and did a lot of walking. My husband was so pleased with the one pair of shoes that he returned today to purchase the same pair in black. However the clerk with the goatee was exceptionally rude when he couldn't find a record of us being in the store or even purchasing anything. He was snappy and totally disrespectful. So we will be making future purchases online or elsewhere. We will not be back to Wagners. Very disappointing!

My boyfriend, however, comes in here multiple times throughout the year and I accompany him. The main reason he chooses to shop here is because of the quality of their clothes. For an 'XL' man who enjoys working with his hands in his spare time, this place offers him shirts that last through years of laundry washes and jean's that don't rip when he kneels or bends. DXL does tend to be on the pricey side, but to counteract their prices they send out lots of coupons for their rewards members. He has received coupons before his Birthday and Christmas, that I know of, as well as other standard coupons that are sent to all of their rewards members throughout the year. A lot of people think this place sells dress clothes only, but they're wrong. They have sports apparel, graphic tees, jean's of all fits, accessories, dress shoes and sneakers, and even their own fragrance Zephyrwood cologne/candle/air freshener/lotion. This is just to name a few. The employees at this particular location are quite knowledgeable about the apparel they sell. I have heard them discuss the differences between different types of jean's materials, watched them help a customer build a suit for a night out, and even give tips about what they think looks best together.
