I usually love the store but wow. The worker today was rude beyond belief. An employee in a bra store should absolutely know that ""the cup fits, the band doesn't I need to know down but keep this cup fit"" means you go down a band size up a cup size. And what did this woman do? Hand me a 36DDD when I said over and over 38DDD CUP fits the BAND is too big. What a waste of my time. I'm so angry about having to repeat myself that many times to somebody who damn well should know better. read more

I was so glad when they moved from the Jacksonville Mall to their new location a few years ago--it made it much, much easier to get to (which, thinking about it, is actually a bad thing for me because it made it that much easier to spend money there!). Fast forward a few years and we've moved back to town and I needed more hot-weather clothing...so it was off to LB! The service gets five stars--I had each of four employees working that day assist me in some manner during my visit, and each of them were super nice and cheerful and helpful. They also seem to be lacking in some sizes--with an overabundance of smaller sizes--which says to me that the ordering should be analyzed. Unfortunately, the clothing is expensive, the shirt styles rarely suit me, and the construction quality (overall, company wide) has gone downhill (jeans that I bought 5+ years ago are lasting better than pairs I bought two years ago--and the same with undies). That said, it's not a fault of THIS specific location, so I didn't knock any stars off for those things...I just want to make you aware. I would recommend this location for the sales staff...and recommend you wait for sales (like BOGO bras), hit the Clearance rack, or get on their mailing list for coupons. read more

Big girls need cute clothes, too! Well, we don't need them, but they're certainly good to have. In my experience, I'm always greeted as soon as I walk through the door and told about the sales they have going on. I've been in many LBs and some of them just don't know how to engage the customer. At least say hi and ask me how I'm doing. I'm pleasant 95% of the time. If I know what I want, you don't even have to have a full-blown conversation with me. Just take my money. Heck, I was offered a free bra fitting the last time I went in. Didn't need one, but it was nice! Most stores let their mannequins look shameful, but this Lane Bryant keeps them cute! I know none of the clothes will look the same on me because I'm not a six-foot tall Amazon goddess with the perfect hourglass shape, but they give me a good idea of how I'll look. ... Which is terrible compared to the mannequins, but who cares? I can almost always find what I need and if I can't they're quick to call another store or have it shipped there or my house. They keep me up to date on my Real Women Dollars and seasonal coupons. They really know a thing or two about customer retention! Also, I feel like this one has a better jewelry variety than the one in Wilmington. Speaking of the one in Wilmington, nowhere near as welcoming and warm, but I'll save that for another review. read more

I walked in this location today hoping to buy some new sleepwear. The first sales associate greeted me kindly but kept walking within 6 feet of me (despite my attempts to stand back). She then hovered around the area I was originally shopping, keeping me from continuing my browsing. I was about to purchase the one item I had in my hands when the second sales associate at the registers was chatting up another customer who did not have on their face mask (so much for their rule on the door). I am quite small in every definition of the word. I have trouble gaining weight and whereas I do not shop here for myself nor was I for the few times I did shop here it was never a polite or pleasant visit. I was shopping with my husband for one of my friends and on one occasion, I was simply told there was nothing in my size nor could they help me find anything. Needless to say, we left. Not thinking of the prior visit, we returned at a much later date and again I was treated with rude remarks and stares. I never returned and do not plan on it. I'm not sure what the problem was but there are more people that shop there for others than just heavier set women. I will never be giving my business to them again. read more
