Stopped by because I thought it was such a cute market! Walked in and the first thing i saw was baskets of fresh beautiful looking peaches. I noticed everything was fresh and organic! AMAZING!! As i'm walking out i smell an overpowering smell of oranges! I turn the corner and there's a guy making FRESH SQUEEZED JUICE! He immediately offered to make us a fresh bottle of juice! I walked out with perfect peaches and fresh squeezed juice for a reasonable price. 10/10 experience! read more

I love this family owned market!! I could drink one of their fresh squeezed juices everyday on the morning. Can't think start my day without one. Not just fresh but very reasonable pricing. So many over-priced rip offs in Santa Barbara- get your juice here instead!! They also carry so many of my favorite farmers market staples, but I don't have to stress if I can't make it to the farmers market that day - this market is open 7 days a week!! SCW and I stopped in here while staying nearby. The market is large and has lots of fresh, produce with organic and some local options as well. Many different plant based mock meats are available as well as a decent selection of tofu to include the largest block I've seen yet. It's essentially three blocks in one, organic, and a good price. The interior is laid out like most grocery stores and has a decent amount of wine and beer available. The service is friendly and quick when checking out. Prices are a little on the high side I'd say for the produce. Everything else seems to be pretty consistent. Will stop in again. read more

Great service. The place to buy herbs. We need a lot of parsley and mint, which they sold in pounds. If you need them for certain recipe, call advance so you can ensure they will have it. Lots of local fresh produce. Large parking lot And next to the parking lot is a goodwill donation container. John Dixon and his crew at Tri-County Produce is phenomenal!! A true Santa Barbara legacy, Tri-County has everything you need for every day and more. TCP is far more than just produce. As a kid, I used to love stopping by TCP in the summer after a trip to the zoo to pick up white peaches for a snack and white corn to BBQ. They always had the best in town and still do! These days I'm more interested in their fantastic wine selection. Be sure to check out the coolers for chilled wine and beer too. I really love their sparkling wines. They usually have the best prices on my favorite wines too. I also really love their bulk dry goods. They have an awesome selections of nuts, rices, grains and more! It's still a fun treat to make my own fresh peanut butter in their machine. My favorite part about TCP is that the majority of their items are locally sourced. Check your receipts! I was not only charged for 54 more green onions than I bought, I was also charged a $7.50 phone order fee (I didn't order by phone, I just walked in and shopped). Once I noticed the charge I had to drive all the way back and the only compensation I was offered was the original $.89 green onion. I used more gas than that driving all the way back. If I had "accidentally" walked out with $56 worth of goods I didn't pay for i would not only have to return them all but I'd also be arrested. Poor customer service. read more

My wife needed some eye drops, so we dropped in hoping to find some. They had some, which was great! It was a little hard to find. The place is pretty small, but they have a little bit of everything. One thing we couldn't avoid was the smell of oranges being squeezed right on the spot! The whole place smelled like orange juice. It was hard to leave without grabbing a bottle. During this outbreak they are taking good precautions. You have to wear gloves ( they provide), the shopping card was sanitized and they have TONS of hand sanitizer in stock. Will say their prices for some of their stuff may be higher compared to other places but their veggies always look good (never seen any mold or veggies that look bad) They carry a varietal of produce and if you bring your own bag, you get a ticket to put into a box of your choice- to have them donate into a local non profit, like the zoo, path, etc read more

They also have a reduced priced section that's good sometimes next to the fresh orange juice making machine. Hand sanitizer? Say no more, in stock. We have been shopping at Tri-County Produce for six months now and use curbside pickup due to the pandemic. The produce is of very good quality and the store often has tasty local items from nearby bakeries, etc. Curbside service is very organized and the staff are very professional and care about the customer's experience. The owner, John Dixon, really cares about the community. During our experience during the pandemic, they offered matches to Foodbank Donations. We love this grocery store because it not only has fresh and good quality produce, professional and hardworking staff, but also because they care about the community and give back. read more

There is very little local or organic produce. The store is clean well organized and employees are very nice. The selection of nuts and dried fruit is great. But again not organic. No one there can answer a question on if there are nitrates in the dried fruit packaged with the Tri County Logo. read more

This is a really cool produce and local grocery store near the beach. The store is right down the steet from the hotel where I stayed. Since it was so convenient, I decided to walk over to see if I could find some snacks after my drive up from Orange County. Naturally, produce is the main attraction here. They had some really nice stuff in the coolers and on tables. Very nice fuji apples. All of the produce looked very fresh. The store front is open, so you get a semi-outdoor feel while in the store. Despite being open, I the store is clean. They have a small selection of deli meats and a better cheese selection. I got some salami that was pretty good. They have olives and other pickled veggies from local producers like Santa Barbara Olive Co. I got some pitted sun dried black olives that were excellent. The store also had a good selection of hot sauces, BBQ sauces, oils, and spices. The one thing I did not see a lot of was balsamic vinegar. There were natural foods and some bulk items. The store has a fairly large selection of wines and some craft beers in the cooler. If I lived in Santa Barbara, this would definitely be a regular grocery stop for me. After reading other reviews from fellow yelpers, I knew I had to try this place out. I've been trying to eat healthier recently...ie. less candy, oreo's, soda's, and more fruits, veggies, whole grains. Well, this store really helped me out with that! There is so much good, local and fresh stuff here. It was fun to look at each label and find out where stuff was made. Ie. pie's from Solvang, lemons from Goleta (represent!), bread from Our Daily Bread, etc. I had to find the fresh juice squeezer which Michael B. mentioned. It was a cool machine that automates the squeezing process. They were doing oranges when we were there, but I imagine they they also do their lemons there. In addition to freshly squeezed orange juice and lemonade, they also had carrot juice (ew!) and strawberry lemonade...Plus a few others that didn't catch my fancy. I got to try out the fresh peanut butter machine for my first time EVAR. It's easy enough-- choose whatever size plastic container you want, hit the 'on' switch, and watch as poop-y looking peanut butter comes out of the machine. They also had almond butter, yummm. Overall this store is smaller than your average Albertson's, so keep in mind that you may not be able to get everything you want here. But what they do have is fantastic food from local farmers, bakers, and shops. P.S. I added pics of my haul-- everything I got was $44! read more

Although it's far away from where I live (west end of Goleta), I always enjoy coming to Tri-County Produce. The fresh produce section is the highlight here with plentiful organic and local options, and some produce you can't find in many stores. Its product offering and layout reminds me very much of a co-op, and I definitely get the same high-quality feeling as I do in a co-op. Speaking of the co-op, I feel like Tri-County is like a larger version of the IV co-op with a better parking situation. I like that I have multiple options in town for shopping in a healthy, responsible manner that supports local farmers. read more

Have recently rediscovered Tri County - and it's changed where I buy some of my fruits, vegetables, and breads. The produce looks so different than most grocery stores - it seems to radiate freshness. That freshness translates to flavor. There are some breads available not in most stores, they even will special order breads you want from Ethnic Bread. Parking is so easy, there's plenty of employees to help. John Dixon and staff - thank you. It's also nice to know one is shopping at a locally owned market - that's a plus. Recommended highly. My neighbors say the meats and fish are excellent too. I love Tri-County produce! Not only is their produce amazing, but they also have a lot of local favorites (La Tolteca chips! Kate Farms!). They clearly label what is organic and local. They have a wide variety of produce. Some items are expensive and I can't really tell why. Like Hispanic food items you can get just down the street for cheaper. Tiny store but they really do have everything and the staff is the nicest. Everyone was helpful and friendly. That alone is such a rarity and is appreciated. Love their produce variety and healthy food options. Bring your own bag and you get a ticket so you can drop it in the charity box of your choice (e.g. local charities) which they contribute to. They have fresh squeezed juice (expensive but good), and a lot of local products you'd find at the farmer's market. The Parking lot is in progress but there is some parking. I walk since I'm close. They carry Watkins grass fed beef from Ojai! We've been looking for the tri-tip from this ranch since we barbecued one way back and couldn't believe how delicious a tri-tip could really be when you buy the right beef! Ethically raised in pastures and not in a nasty feed lot. You can really taste the difference. Seriously... a tri-tip that's actually really tender inside. Plus, the great staff, and everything else that makes this place wonderful makes us so very happy they are still around after so many years. read more

When I can't get to the Farmers Market, Tri-County Produce Co is the next best thing! Excellent selection of local, organic produce at reasonable prices. They also have a huge selection of Red Mill and other Gluten Free products. Most of the staff are very helpful, especially when trying to find something in the store or in stalk. Don't underestimate this quaint, local market on appearance alone. It's a modest storefront with little curb appeal, however, they carry a surprising array of food and health conscious products in addition to fresh produce. Recently, we went on a hunt for Fish Stock to make seafood chowder. Both Whole Foods and Trader Joes did not carry it. Low and behold, Tri-County Produce Co did, and it was organic! The only thing constructive that I'd add is regarding two of their cashiers. On more than one occasion, I've observed these two young ladies talking amongst themselves and/or playing on their cell phones while people were waiting in line. One of the two seems disgruntled a majority of the time, does not smile, does not greet or thank customers and generally looks as though she feels miserable being there. I understand we all have our rough days. When it becomes a habit that seems like a good opportunity for management to check in and provide some coaching or retraining where appropriate. When I don't want to be scowled at, I purposefully choose another line if this particular associate is working, even if that line is longer. And she does not seem to mind, it gives her more time to play on her phone and ignore the consumers nearby. read more

I do a lot of my shopping at tri-county - great prices, great products, especially if you are health-conscious. HOWEVER - it was what happened a few days before x-mas that blew me away. They were sold-out of the santa barbara biscotti - which I had promised my relatives I would include in the SB locals food gift boxes I was sending them. My mother, in particular, said "All I really want is those biscottis..." So when I got to the store and they were sold out, I was not too happy. The manager asked me how it was going - I mentioned the predicament with the biscottis - he called the guy who makes them in Goleta, had him package some freshly made ones, had the guy drive them to tri-county that day - then called me that evening saying they just arrived and he would hold a dozen boxes for me. Hey Tri county Way better parking lot now. But whats up with all that vacant space in front if the store and on the side. So many of us locals living in the area walk and bike by the tri county market every day would buy more groceries and go inside more often if you would put some nice tables and umbrellas . outside all that empty space ! a coffee station inside for coffee to go would be great!?? How about some easy prepared food to take away to the beach?! .. sandwiches ? the outside is screaming for a redesign.. the vacant black top just isnt a good use of space!
