I was 2 hours away from Olympia and at the time didn't know what was wrong with it so why would I tow it there? I had to sell my 7 year old 4 runner for scrap and buy a new car. They're lucky no one was hurt when my car suddenly froze up on the freeway. My hope is they are more cautious and careful in the future. zero stars.

I received a call advising me that I needed new nozzles that would have to be ordered and oh, by the way, my rear brakes needed to be replaced in the next few months. The estimate was $1,900 for both. At first, I was going to do it but then started thinking about it and consulted with a friend who suggested I take the car to Les Schwab for a free second opinion. When I told Mike's I was going to do that, I was told I would have a $200+ diagnostic fee. First off, I NEVER asked them to check my brakes! To really get a thorough look at the brakes, they would have to remove the tires. I picked up my car and advised them that WA RCW 46.71.025 states an auto repair shop may not charge a diagnostic charge unless advised beforehand or in writing. The manager quickly said they wouldn't charge me. The young kid tried to tell me that because I had my car in a few months ago (for regular servicing), that I had given consent. Nice try, won't fly. After picking up my car, I went to Les Schwab (had just gotten new tires there) and they told me I still had 5mm on the rear and 6mm on the front which was probably good for another 15k miles. I average about 7k a year. When I picked up my car from Les Schwab, the man helping me told me I was the second complaint that day from Mike's. Not a good batting average. I'm a 70-year-old woman but I'm not stupid. I told them, I don't trust you anymore! They clearly intended to take advantage of me. Too bad they didn't realize I am a recently retired WA State investigator, and I know how to do my research. I received a phone call from Mike the owner that night but was too angry to take the call. He left a message to call him. No apology, nothing. Never tried to call again. I gave him a week to reach out again before deciding to write this review. Too bad, so sad.

They completed a brake flush for my 2015 Audi S4. The job was completed within a good timeframe and the results were fine. The car was returned clean everywhere and everything back in place. The price was very fair. I also asked for estimates for more extensive maintenance work and asked them challenging questions about those procedures. They had the right answers and the estimated costs were again very fair, about 35% less than dealer estimates. I was very pleased with the experience and the results. I will use them again for my Audi maintenance and repairs.

Monday, when I was being dropped off, I was told repairs like I was asking for take one, maybe two days to fix. The price they gave me AFTER DIAGNOSTIC was more expensive than local dealers for the same work. But since the car was already there and the appointment was made that was fine because I didn't have to work until Wednesday and if they had it fixed by Tuesday, no issue... Tuesday rolls around, no phone call, no communication. Late in the day I finally called and asked for an update. They told me it wasn't done and it looked like it would be one more day. So, I made plans to get a ride to work, and plans to pick me up. An hour before they were set to close, still no call, and we call them again, after I made plans to get off early and get a ride to get to the shop only to find out they still have even started on the work. I won't use them again, it was my first time, and suggest you don't either. They seem to want your business and then will hold you hostage until they finally get around to whatever you brought them.
