Using Bron's online contact form, I've sent 3 contact forms, over the past 3 weeks, inquiring about Bron's expertise and experience with a BMW M6 with a Dinan package. I also asked about their experience in servicing and maintaining a '92 BMW 535i and a Ford F-150. After two no responses, and before sending the third contact form, I called Bron's; the voice mail stated that they would call me at their convenience. Because I never received a response to my 2 earlier contact form submissions, I decided not to leave a message (because they probably would not return my call) but instead sent a 3 contact form to Bron's. I have never received a reply to 3 contact forms submitted to Bron's through the company's web site. I'm of the opinion that Bron's has no interest in responding to new customers. Their lack of responsiveness leads me to question how anyone can even contact Bron's to schedule an appointment. Bron's lack of responsiveness and lack of professionalism necessitates a rating of a negative 5 stars if that were possible; but, alas, I am limited to a single star rating. read more

We have always been pretty content with going to Bron's. They do have some room to improve in reaching out to customers to communicate and give updates but I think this is the case because they're just so busy repairing the many cars they get. We had to leave our car with them for a little while while they tracked down a specific part. I brought my 2011 BMW 335i M Sport in on 9-8-2020 after it had work done for recalls at the dealership. While at the dealership, they made me aware that they noticed a small oil leak, but not from where and also what was a "small crack" in my radiator. They let me leave with the car as they said its a tiny leak and if I had left it there for repair, it would have been a couple of weeks to fix due to waiting on parts. Instead, I decided to bring my car into Bron's shop with the paperwork from the dealership and what I was told after having a short phone call with them about my situation. The next day I got a phone call from Lennie (Lenny? Sorry I didn't catch spelling) that there were other issues at play the dealership didn't even bother to mention. What started out as a Radiator replacement turned into the Radiator, all attributing hoses, as well as the Coolant Reservoir was cracked and needed to be replaced. They also found the oil leak coming from my Oil Cooler, but that was an easy quick fix. Needless to say, I wasn't happy, but glad they found all the issues and could take care of them. Fast forward 2 days later and not only did they get everything fixed in such a timely manner, but I ran into issues with no shuttle transport from the rental car business, so I had to walk all the way back to their shop. They stayed well after business hours (Easily over an hour) to make sure I was able to come to pick up my vehicle and make it home without paying for another rental. They went way above and beyond top-level service for what I'd expect from any shop!! When I got there I was still greeted with a smile so late in the afternoon and also a concern as I had walked in instead of drove or dropped off. They still took the time to explain every repair and warranty in detail and made sure I was satisfied with their service, as well as future plans for the car they could accommodate. If you EVER need work done on your car, whether its Asian, Euro, or Domestic, I wouldn't hesitate to give these guys a call or just drop in and have them help you out. Called and explained that our car was overheating. Was told to bring it in. Apparently overheated enough to require a new head be installed. 10 weeks later, no new head yet. It appears as though there are parts available but they had difficulty in finding what was needed. Poor communication. In fact, no communication unless we called. Our car was an older model, a 1988. We were also told that the delay was due to not having enough "engine techs". We ended up picking up the car on a flatbed and will look for an alternative source for repair. All in all, a disappointing experience. It's tough when you need something and are willing to pay for it but discover that your car isn't a high priority. And to be fair, there is always 2 sides to the story. But that is my review of Bron's Auto. We went to Bron's because of their good review score. We did not get a good result. read more

My VW van had the catalytic converter ripped out and the damage to the surrounding systems was severe. Bron's has a relationship with a custom exhaust vendor that was able to mend those parts before the converter was installed. I had some transmission issues in my van last night, and had to have it towed to Bron's to work on today. Luckily, there were dedicated to getting me ready to finish my drive to Seattle by the end of the day. They ultimately determined the issue was part of a recall, so called the Ford dealership to make sure everything was sorted and they were able to source the needed part from another shop. I was very pleased with Lennie's communication both with me and the dealer so that what could have been a few weeks (thanks to the holiday this weekend) turned into just a few hours. read more

We have been customers with Bron's for over 20 years. I recently advised my daughter to take her car in. They have had it for two weeks, and the only contact has been when she has called (multiple times) to find out what is happening. I am shocked with the poor quality of communication to her and currently, she still doesn't have an estimate, nor have they contacted her. I am so sorry I had her get her car towed there. When she called they didn't indicate that there was a back up or anything....I guess we will have to cross them off our go to place as well. read more

My car broke down, and this shop had me back on the road same week. Not overly booked. Thorough inspection. Honest no nonsense advice.

I took my BMW in because it had a "Check Coolant Level" warning in and would not clear even though the level was ok. I mentioned that it had over heated a few months back and that I replaced the radiator, water pump and thermostat. But then a couple of weeks ago the warning came in but I checked the level in the reservoir and it was fine. I mentioned that it had over heated again but that was because I actually overfilled the reservoir which is a bad thing for BMWs. Anyway, I wanted to know why I couldn't get the "Check coolant Level" warning to clear. They estimated it would cost $200 just to look at it. The next day they called with an estimate to change out the thermostat because they thought there was a problem with coolant flow. I decided to do the work myself and retrieved my car. After some discussion, we settled on $85 for the diagnosis. read more

I came here because they were AAA approved, and offered a discount for AAA members. My car broke down and I was desperate to get it repaired since it was my way back home to California. My car is old, and really isn't worth much except that it gets me around, so I was upset to hear the repair would be 1100 for the most urgent repair, and 2400 to repair everything else that was wrong with my car. They told me my fuel injector was faulty. I called my dad who's a mechanic in CA, and he let me know their quoted price was much too high. Luckily he found me another shop that offered the repair for a fraction of the price. That's where I wound up going. My car is running perfectly now. It seems this place is probably not best for old less valuable cars. read more

They determined the alternator was faulty, and replaced it again, as well as my timing belt and fuel pump, without charge. My vehicle had a problem, so I left it at this shop. They called and said it had extensive engine damage and would require a replacement engine. They didn't explain how they reached that conclusion, and quoted a price that's more than the vehicle is worth. I sought a second opinion. The second shop diagnosed considerably less damage, explained and demonstrated the methods and tools they used, and quoted a price one-tenth the first shop's. The second shop did the repairs, showed me the broken part, and got it done in less than a day. This (first) shop won't be getting any more of my business read more

I hate dealing with vehicles . . . it feels to me that when either purchasing one or getting one fixed, I'm going to get hosed. However, when my 2007 Volvo S80 recently need servicing and I went to Bron's, it was a great experience. While it first appeared that the servicing needed was straight-forward, a complex, underlying problem existed. Bron's staff worked hard to come up with the solution, in a timely manner, and they kept me posted on the progress. They also double-check their bills, and when their staff found an error on the billing (way to go, Kim!), Bron's refunded me the money. We brought our Mercedes ML350 here because the check engine light came on and was idling rough. They ran the codes and replaced the spark plug. It continued to run rough, so they replaced the remaining plugs. It ran alright for about a day then ran rough again, although the codes were not identifying the problem. Bron's recommend replacing the coils and did so at cost, due to us having to bring it back 3 times. That is going above and beyond. They do a great job, and are very easy to work with. read more

We are new to the area and had a mechanical failure on one of our cars. The problem could have been a very serious one. The mechanics looked for the easiest fix first and found the problem. The cost was minimal and they could have sold me a very expensive repair if they were not so professional. The car was towed in and they had never met me but I was treated like their best customer. Although very busy they worked in our repairs and the car was back on the road in 2 days. I asked them to check over the car since it had been a year since a good mechanic had worked on it. It turns out they do that automatically on every visit. They warned me of two other problems that would need attention soon. I opted for repairs right on the spot and they were able to do that work as well. I have found my mechanics on the West coast! They deserve your consideration if you need repairs read more

The service manager was very informative and explained clearly what my car needed and showed me which were a priority and which could be put off for a little while. Kim accidentally quoted my girlfriend a cheaper price for her oil change and honored that cheaper price. Kim, is a rockstar, by the way. She made us feel really comfortable, she was sweet and constantly had us laughing. This is a good auto shop with even better people. It is a little pricey here, but you pay for what you get and the service warranty is really nice as it provides us with peace of mind. Poor Service and diagnosed was incorrect the first time. We took our Volvo back for service, it was misdiagnosed. They put it a new fuel gas tank & pump. ($900+) We insisted it was not fixed the first time and asked them to check the fuel injectors. They said they could only get 3 out of the 5 fuel injectors. We called around and found the other two fuel injectors for them and had them delivered to Bron's. Another $1200 was spent. It did finally get fixed but at our expense of their mistake in the first place. I will NOT recommend Bron's. read more

I recently made an appointment to have the oil changed in my Mini. When I arrived for my appointment they ask me what type of oil my Mini used. This did not give me any confidence at all in their ability to work on my car! The flyer I received in the mail was specifically for Minis which is why I decided to try them. I was told it would take two to three hours for my oil change! When I expressed this would be too long of a wait for me I was told it would be an hour and a half. I waited well over two hours and was told they were replacing my fog lights and that's why it was taking so long. My fog lights were never replaced. The flyer also said they were 10 to 15% cheaper than the dealer. While the flyer was for $25 off of my service the over all price would have been the exact same at the dealership. The dealership washes and vacuums my car as well as having it done in less than an hour all for the same price. They also have a very comfortable waiting area with free refreshments. And they have always known what type of oil my Mini takes. I was very disappointed in my experience there and will not be returning. read more
