I have never been treated so badly by mechanic.I was told by locals before I took my car to him that he was cheap but that he had a temper and was hard to work with. Was it worth it to work with someone, who was really mean, hardly spoke English, and every thing I said was misinterpreted because he speaks no English and was never able to communicate.My time was wasted, my money was wasted.He had the nerve to yell at me and ultimately never fixed my car even after I had paid for the parts.I have never had anything bad to say about any mechanic before, however this was beyond bad service.The way that I was treated was uncalled for and I will be calling better business bureau, to make sure that this never happens to another customer. read more

I have been in Yelm since 2006, back and forth till 2008 and live here since, I brought my first vehicle to TK then in 2008. He said "I fix for you right, but it won't run too long" (due to other issues which I knew) I said okay, it ran for 6 months but what do you expect out of a free vehicle! Over the years, I have recommended and brought upwards of 20-30 vehicles to him (6-8 of them mine) To be honest, he has never disappointed one of my friends nor me, he has always been honest, upfront, sincere and no one in this entire town or county can compete with his prices and honesty from my personal experience.. He is here to assist our community because he is very fair, reasonable, honest, and most of all understanding.. To me that is why his shop is always full... I say understanding because I couldn't pay the whole bill for a month, I came in to pay him more as interests', and he told me, "no it's okay, I understand people have bills to pay and family to take care of so don't worry about it" The owner has a truly genuine heart and appreciates all, I highly recommend TK auto repair to anyone!!!! As an update: I recently had to have my whole front end repaired, I went to other places in town to have both wheel bearings and tire rods repaired, they quoted me at the time for one bearing and one tire rods for almost $270.. TK said both bearings should be replaced and both tire rods, quoted for $300, it did need an alignment, and I told Walts a friend did it for me (to me TK is a friend) and they said my friend did a great job.... Car is now riding smooth as a BMW on the I-5... !!! TK is legit and the only place to go in Yelm or surrounding for the best deal in the county.. (oh and I must say, I have stopped by uncounted times for simple things for him to check out and he has no problem checking them out.. but out of respect I just call him now and he tells me when and always delivers... ) read more

TK may know a bit but his diagnostics technician is a Joke... just guessing...second time changing O2sensors... i marked them.prior to going in to their shop ..paid & left and a couple weeks later checked under my rig... and only one had been changed and i paid for 4.,i am redoing a lot of what i paid them for myself now... went back and got denial.... from TK. read more

Honest, honest, honest. It's great that TK is fast. It's really nice that he takes the time to look at the car, at no cost (at least in our case), and give a baseline diagnostic. But the thing that makes his little tucked - away shop the only place we'll ever take our cars for repairs is his FAIR and HONEST approach to pricing and to the repairs themselves. No push to sell us anything we didn't need. He found another issue with the car, called us, got the OK, and did it not only at a fair price, but FAR less than at other shops. Customer for life. I brought my Jeep Wrangler here at the referral of a friend. I had no appointment, and just drove up to ask if he could put a new fan belt I had bought on. He stopped what he was working on and said he would have it done in five minutes! I then asked what he would charge for a tune up and when he would have time... he said he would have it done in two hours and his price was well within range of other places I had called. He brought me hot coffee while I was outside waiting! I asked him to check my brakes: turns out my rotors were bad, hence the shakes on the freeway. He said if I bought the parts he would only charge me labor! I highly recommend TK's for all your auto repair needs! read more

He was honest and better priced than anyone else we got a quote from (I got five quotes). He was fast, too, having the repairs done the same day. I had my car in another local car service here for 12 years. In all of that time never did I have my ONE HUGE problem with overheating fixed- not even after thousands $$ for a new gasket/head repair. The business starts with a B. I finally gave up and took it to TK after almost blowing my engine with another over heat. He took one look and in his broken English (pardon him for his English-he gets his point across) the man KNOWS cars! He told me straight away what he thought it was, then in 1-2 days it was fixed FOR GOOD! I never had a problem after that. His price was good as it was a HUGE job, and he also found another problem that he fixed free. Apparently B's didn't bolt my engine in very good after dropping it for the head/gasket fix. It was hanging on by a bolt and loose at that. Dangerous INDEED. He showed me where the loose bolt was on my car in an engine that was on the garage floor and asked me where I got my gaskets fixed. Yikes, I shook my head that I cam close to having a real problem. TK is honest, hard working and knowledgeable. I recommend him to anyone at this point and will get my grandson to him next week to fix his brakes. read more

I would recommend this gentleman and his staff to anybody. Everybody. The guy is as good as it gets. Can't wrench my coolant cap off? I stop in and he pops it right off for me and tops off my overflow tank. My positive terminal cover cracks? Boom, he fixes me right up with a new one in two seconds. I need new back breaks? Priced right and done really, really nicely. He's a sweet, quiet kinda guy who likes turning a wrench. If he can help you, he will, and he won't charge you an arm and a leg to do it. And best of all, he'll do it RIGHT. That's harder and harder to find these days. read more

BEWARE!!! Where do I begin I brought my Ford F250 to TK in March of this year. I had someone else work on truck prior and it still was not running right, hard start up, wanting to die ect. He talked a real good talk in the beginning, even though he speaks broken english, but that was about all he did TALK. 5 months later, over a $1000.00 and have had to return truck to him a total of 8 times. Two times ive had it towed back and two times after leaving his shop he had to tow it back, other times after leaving his shop and he says fixed now, id get it home and go out next day and still not wanting to start, or smelled like gas. Everytime I would bring it back it would just sit there and id call a week or two later and he'd say, oh i called you to pick it up, he never called. Tk said that to me several times. I bought this truck in feb and he has had it since march and finally after paying for a new carburetor an alternator and a starter and him having it back over and over this last time I towed it back to him he had it for a total of 5 weeks and the truck never moved from where tow truck driver dropped it off. He kept saying it needed this part or that and then his newest line of bull was it now needed a new fuel tank selector valve which he made me order after telling me what part , then tells me I ordered wrong part. So my truck sat for three weeks again at his shop and i got no call and he said he had wrong part. So between all the lies and the fact after 5 months truck is still not working i have it towed out of there to a certified, BBB Accredited shop to inspect the supossed work he had done. I come to find out the carburetor i paid for was leaking, and secondarys were not even connected and it was not even a new carburetor which I had paid for. This guy is a theif and a lier. I took truck back and he was forced to put a new carburetor in it while i watched. He trys talking circles around you and he loves to talk about how honest he is. Watch out. Oh and the other shop also told me truck does not need a fuel selector, it needed a new carburetor this whole time which i had already paid him for. What a joke of a mechanic and a underhanded, low life business man. Steer clear all hes about good for a a oil change and them id watch to make sure he even puts new oil in it. read more

I've worked with Ford Motor Company for 20 plus years, I took a truck into him upon a buyers request, and he was telling them it was bad this and bad that,would not put it in writing, we took it to another place with a good REPUTATION and it checked out fine. Took my vehicle to be looked over due to an issue with ythe heater at about 10:00am saturday.(I let them know to call me because it's my only car and I need it for Dr appt. The following Monday) A few hours went by. I called at 3:30pm and no answer. Another hour goes by so I call again at 4:30, no answer again. Finally at 5:00 I call and someone answers I ask what the issue is and they tell me the control board is no good. Then I tell them I am going to be on my way to pick up the car only to be told they are now closed and I there is no one there for me to get my car. Well that's great! (Idk why no one called me before they closed?!?!) and they had just given me a business card that says they close at 6:00 not 5:00, I ask about the business card and the times displayed and I am told that is an old card and that they now close at 5:00... my response... why did someone just give me this card?? No answer... In short they displayed poor customer service. I will never refer someone to a company with such poor customer service. read more

Very disappointed . I have taken my truck there many times before for repairs. This time I was having a toque converter installed. I had asked Thong if he took carcare credit cards for the $500 labor he was going to charge me. He said that he took all credit cards. He also told me that he couldn't guarantee the part or the work they did. This is after he said I had to get my own part. So basically after spending $500 dollars in labor and $280 in parts I just have to pray that it is fixed and won't brake down. It's a shame that this all could have worked out for the good of both of us, If he would have at least guaranteed his work. read more
