It was the biggest mistake I ever made. 1. They were not prepared. No medication list and he had to BEG them for his antibiotics. 2. The entire rehab smelled like dozens of people were smoking cigarettes. 3. I can deal with an old, outdated facility but not a dirty one. Stained floors and curtains in the room. 4. Unhelpful staff. I get it. I wouldn't want to work there either. But a little kindness would have been nice. The night my husband was admitted? I picked him up at 11pm. He called me crying. He was in pain, no food, nothing to drink, antibiotics were late, ect. If you have a choice? Please choose any other facility.

Now my grandmother has been dumped here by her selfish children who lied , well really just my mum lied about my grandmother being put here..... This is a small town.... There are no other nursing homes in the area that I am aware of.... if the family wasn't so selfish they could have put her in a much nicer place.... I have been and ALWAYS will be concerned about my grammie being here..... She was ALWAYS the strongest woman!!!! I was out of state & lied to when told she would be placed there.... fast forward... I call & try to leave messages for her she doesn't remember getting them & I'm sure the staff is soooo busy so I am placing NO blame on anyone in the establishment. I 100% understand that like ALL " businesses " this IS a business and you always have your good employees & your BAD ones..... I am a business owner and I know this first hand. I'm a grown adult & to go see her and/or call her breaks my heart!!!! She has been here for at least 6 years now.... When we go see here it breaks my heart!!!!! I look into her eyes and it's like she is already dead... My lovely grandmother who was always the best to me!!! Seeing her have aged soooo dramatically kills me!!! Looking into her eyes is like looking into a dark tunnel... The great eyes she always had and her spirit is NO longer there!!!! On the other end of the spectrum- my in laws took in Meme about 15 years ago..... I respect them soooo much for doing this. I see how this has taken its toll on their life but I also see how GREAT Meme is at 83!!!!! My grandmother was on her own well into her 80's and still driving!!!! I have a VERY difficult family relationship and thus I would NEVER take anyone from my family in (except for ONE wonderful person). I would dump my mum in this place and never turn around as she did it to her mother... maybe one day she and her sister will end up rotting away in this crap hole!!! I will NEVER be in a "home"!!!! Either I can do it on my own, have live in help or I would make other arrangements to ensure that I do NOT live that long!!! In fact my spouse and I already have had the legal documents & medical directives signed, sealed and delivered many years ago to ensure we are never in this position!!!! If you live in this area PLEASE don't be so selfish and ignorant to place a "loved" one in this place!!!! I also must add that this establishment which is FILLED with OLD seniors IS EXACTLY LIKE HIGH SCHOOL!!!! The seniors are sooooo IMMATURE!! They gossip & fight like children which I feel is completely ridiculous!!!!! I will admit it IS humorous though but I do NOT condone this behavior!!!!!

Mary's Meadow was recommended to her and our whole family is so grateful she had access to the care there. The staff genuinely care and are so kind, professional, knowledgable, and helpful. They go above and beyond in many ways, including giving my mom uplifting words of encouragement and helping her stay positive. Also, all the meals are hand-made and nutritious. We were all relieved my mom got the nutritional support and oversight she did while there. She regained a lot of strength from the food, which was always delicious and delivered on time. The whole place is clean and comfortable. There are doctors, nurses, and other caregiving professionals (e.g., physical therapists, nutritionists, etc.) on hand. We remain very grateful to the whole team at Mary's Meadow!

They have some private rooms and a large open area. Lots of equipment. The therapists are well trained and easy to understand; they speak to me in a relatable way. They offer lots of support and will work as hard as you do. If you don't do the exercises as prescribed you won't see results. I have worked with a couple different people and they are all great. great job!!!

At one point, we thought of moving our mother to a more "modern" location, but then we realized that it isn't just about the "beauty" of the place, it was about the staff. They took good care of our mother and we were very pleased with them. At the end of her life, several staff visited with us and were so kind and caring. That is what counts!

Between the lack of staffing to administrative people going upstairs to put on an act when the state arrives so the place "looks good". I say that because that's essentially all of what they're really doing. They really don't give a shit about the place and how it's ran. Vendors don't get paid and stuff doesn't get fixed. This includes the elevators, kitchen equipment but, the company Athena HealthCare Systems is quick to put an additional metal sign on the facility's main sign out front reading "Managed by Athena HealthCare Systems." Also they do this with their other facilities as well. The Care quality is shit here and the type is non existent basically due to lack of staffing and a careless company. All it is, is a money maker for the C.E.O Lawrence Santilli to be able to keep money in his pocket so he can buy more beach houses and so fourth. Do not let your loved one pass or even spend their last days here before they pass away. Ugh here's 1 star because Yelp is asking for one.

When I called for help, administration flat out lied about the treatment and type if care I would…read morereceive. There isn't one single Psychiatrist on staff. The only medical personnel are nurse practitioners. They worried more about the meds which weren't for my mental health that I've been on for years, than trying to adjust my psychiatric medication. It was a fight 3x a day to get my regular meds which in turn made my 5 days there a living hell, along without the proper treatment. My belief is that they are sucking insurance companies dry, and pay NP's to do a job which they don't have the qualifications for. One gentleman's insurance company flew him all the way from California only to find out what a racket this place is. He left AMA, and so did I. Luckily I didn't have a10hr trip to get back home. My so called therapist only talked about herself. The only positive things about the place was that it was clean, and the techs were wonderful! I'd rather had been at CHL if that tells you guys in MA anything. At least you see a psychiatrist who tries to help instead of hinder.
